The trail was ok. I wish it was marked better. The cave was beautiful. I went early so that was enjoyable! Towards the end there were TONS of people out hiking! I would say I enjoyed Mohican better but I do like the caves.

Beautiful scenery. A nice bit of elevation change here and there. I only wish it was a little longer. The trails were well blazed but clearly there’s been some tree damage in the area. A great little hike with plenty of eye candy.

Very beautiful and peaceful

Pretty crowded trail. Nice forest along the way, but the rock house itself wasn’t too impressive. Personally like the ash cave better.

Pretty short hike in late afternoon. The cave was great, and we love the tiny fall from the top of the cave. Met a group of ppl having their wedding here. Pretty romantic.

Very easy trail. Great value for the effort. Love the elegant fall and the pond. Chilling at the shore was very relaxing.

Great hike. Went out on the Gorge Overlook and back in on the Buckeye trail. Just strenuous enough.

Very hot day! The trail and hot spots were crowded, but it did not bother the beauty! A nice moderate hike.

Another great trail in the hocking hills area. A little crowded at the start of the trail but in between the points of interest it’s a nice quiet trail

This was a great hike on a Sunday evening. Not too crowded. Fun to explore. We came off the trail at a different point than where we started and had to walk along the road for a short distance- keep an eye on the waypoints on the map to avoid this. We didn't mind though. Nice trail!

It’s gorgeous, but I have yet to catch it when it’s not overly busy.

Doing this trail after a light rain, watching the mist dance through the trees in the sunlight, is surely one of my favorite hiking moments to date.

Really enjoyed walking through the woods. The scenic o erlook was a nice touch. Loved seeing the birds at the feeder.

Nothing better in this area. It can even be turned into a loop and backpacked if you talk to the rangers ahead of time;
I would recommend starting from Ash Cave, head to Cedar Falls, then take the rim trail to Old Man’s Cave, and returning by way of the gorge trail

I was very disappointed in this spot. it was easy to get to and did have the potential to be beautiful but it was EXTREMELY crowded. We did go on a Saturday late morning on a nice day in early summer so that probably didn't help matters much but I got the impression that this was a local swimming hole. I couldn't get nice pictures of the falls or surrounding area because there were too many little kids swimming around and it was not at all relaxing or enjoyable to be there because all of the giddy screaming echoed off the surrounding rock. There was also a substantial amount of litter around, we even walked past one tree with a pile of dirty diapers under it. Also, there is not much parking at this spot. I wouldn't recommend going here unless it is a crappy day or maybe if it is mid-week, early morning before all of the obnoxious kids get there.

Favorite place in the park. We went in May and there weren't very many people here since it's kind of out of the way from other parts of the park. Super fun to climb around on the rocks and a great place to cool down if it's a scorcher out.

Beautiful scenery but pretty congested with people. Might be better early in the morning or in the evening.

I live fairly close and do this hike at least once a summer with my dogs. I recommend parking at Cedar Falls and hiking from there to Old Mans Cave first. Then hike on a different trail (thus forming a loop) from there back to Cedar Falls. That’s about 6 miles. I stop at this point to give my dogs a break and do a picnic lunch since the car is nearby. Then from there we hike to Ash Cave and back (another 6 mile round trip but not a loop trail). That makes a total of about 12 miles for the day. It gives both the dogs and me a good workout for the day.

Beautiful. Very kid friendly.

Plenty of places to stop to cool down and get wet! Fun!!

Had a great time

Loved the views and the beautiful rocks.

Just beautiful! Hiked from Old Mans Cave Parking lot along the upper falls trail to Cedar Falls. Was about 4 miles one way. We got quite a bit of rain today so all the streams and falls were going really good. One of my favorite spots to hike with lots of trails from easy to moderate. Such a great place and so close to home.

Best hike in the Hocking Hills. Personally, I would call it moderate in difficulty.

Love this place
