If you want an interesting hike and only have a couple of hours this is worth your time

easy hike

Nice trail but not marked out very good in some spots. We got off track a couple times but All Trails map helped tremendously! I would consider it easy not moderate , but that all depends on the person and their ability. I would hike it again though . Oh! And getting off track we saw 7 deer and a huge owl!

Well marked , plenty of trails , hiked a loop ( 7.7 miles ) enjoyed , great views , well worth to reach the summit, will go back

Interesting terrain - large rock formations, an old cemetery, old stone walls, old foundations and boardwalk into the marshland. A couple of steep climbs.

Had a great time breaking the loop into two half days. The climb up Stratton was a welcomed work out. We had a foggy afternoon so no views at the top. Great tent sites at the pond and lovely swimming too! The hike out was flat and easy which made it so we could enjoy the surroundings and each other’s company. This is a great route if you’re looking to get back into backpacking and/or if you’re looking for an enjoyable easy weekend. We recorded at between 12 and 13 miles round trip.

Nice hike, except the left “arm” of the marked hike is not even a trail. Had to bushwhack for about a mile before getting to a real trail. Was never “lost” but good thing I had the All Trails app (with compass feature) to get out. Would definitely come back but have to follow a better trail “out” after the 2nd set of “boulders”.

Did the trail as described and would agree that it's Moderate though I recorded a GPS of 19.1km so around 12 miles. Ascent to Stratton Mountain isn't hard and navigation easy (by Welsh standards where I'm from) as trails well marked. Stratton Pond great place for lunch and top us around 6 hours at an easy pace

Bugs were unbearable for a hike.

good trail, well marked and nice views. the loop ended up at 6.7 miles, with some nice ups and downs.

First time on this trail was 8/19/18, post two week rain period. Lots of mud, water.. but extremely fun. I being a new MTN biker had to work hard on this trail. I recommend it and am looking forward to doing this again very soon.!

Great hike. Very well marked. Very shady but very buggy. Bring bug spray

This trail was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and we only saw 2 other groups of people until we got back to the parking lot. The trail is fairly easy terrain for walking, but the roots are abundant so be careful. The trail was also very well marked. The pond and the streams are beautiful. Lots of photo ops. I would love to kayak here. We only did a couple of miles out, found a nice boulder to sit on, then walked back. Total did about 4 miles and took 2 hours (leisurely pace). I would love to do the whole loop however that’s a lot of time on foot. :(

Enjoyed our hike, the Falls Cutoff trail was pretty difficult for us but it was worth the workout. The views were amazing. We did a 5.72 mile loop starting at the Falls Cutoff trail.

The falls cutoff was pretty difficult, but worth it... close to a 90% incline in some stretches... but it’s short, so don’t let it intimidate you too much

Follow the orange blazes for the mountain bike loop. Lots of scene changes, interesting wildlife chatter, and plenty of cover in late May, though there are a few stretches close to the water that are exposed. As others indicated, this trail features rolling terrain with mixed width and composition—rocks, big roots, couple muddy spots, then soft needles. There is not that much elevation gain; this hike is on the easy side of moderate, requiring more stamina than anything! To that end, you might think it’s a good idea to bring snacks and break for a picnic, but that’s not going to happen. The bug situation is intense. I did pretty well with the herbal Buzz Away Extreme by Quantum Health, and occasional use of my hoodie hood, but a couple skeeters still got me. All in all a lovely loop, especially on a cool day. Only saw two bikes and one other hiker the entire time. Can’t wait to try it again in fall...

This is a nice trails for birders, and has a section of Twisted trees that are very unique! when you get to the boulders it's a nice place to have a picnic lunch with a view.

If that hike is moderate I don't know what is considered difficult. This is a nice hike with difficult areas and rewarding sights towards the peak. Recommend.

Really fun loop with great views of Long Pond. Mostly smooth single track with a couple of short sections that are fairly technical. Overall, a great place for a run in the woods!

This trail was listed as a 7 mile trail. However after my girlfriend and I finished the loop, it was a total of 9.4 miles. Beautiful hike from the beginning to the end. Breathtaking views from the south and north peaks. Along the trail we came upon the Cut Off Falls Trail. The falls were beautiful and only detoured us for about 100 feet. We came across two boulders on the path. In another review on this app, I read the boulders were nicknamed “ Gods Dice “. We were exhausted after the hike but as always it was worth it!

Nice place for an easy hike

We only did part of it due to time, so we walked to and back from the Stratton Pond. It's a nice and chilled walk, lovely forest and good for children.
Could get really muddy and would recommend doing it on a very dry day...

hiked the this trail for the first time. Found it difficult to find the trail head or trail. We walked on a trail with a no trespassing sign for a bit before we picked up the trail with the white blaze. There was a small dirt parking lot across the street. Ok hike, over all a nice day to be outside@

We did the Mt. Lincoln loop in late September. The streams were almost dry. The view from the fire tower that said no trespassing was a spectacular 360 degrees.

Did this a week ago with the mrs and our pups. Great view from the fire tower and we hiked to the Stratton gondola to check out the views there too. Cool to walk around at the top of the resort and eat lunch there. Only caveat was that when we hit the catamount trail turn off at towards end, the entire trail was a bog. It was basically impossible to continue on unless we wanted to be miserable the last mile +... we ended up turning around and staying on the Stratton pond loop trail which spit us out about a mile or so further from the parking lot. Happy trails!
