went today and we were the only people out. kinda chilly and a bit icy but we warmed up while walking. it was so beautiful and we plan to come back during spring/ summer! definitely easy for all skill levels!

Loved the rock formation you have to walk through at the start of the hike, and then after that you just feel completely secluded in the forest. At the end of the trail it also then opens up to these beautiful falls. One of my favorites I’ve ever been on.

A great short walk, that is absolutely beautiful. Loved the many moss covered trees over hanging the cascading falls and bubbling brooks, well as calm pools of water that greet you on this serene walk through nature’s backdoor. Can’t wait to go back again in the winter wonderland and beauty of springtime.

Easy hike with some beautiful views

Great trail. I want to go back in the winter or spring.

Awesome and beautiful but super easy hike! Very popular spot but still worth an afternoon trip.

Beautiful trail many small waterfalls.

Loads of salamanders on trail on OCT 5 :-)

Wonderful easy walk. Park at Woodruff bridge. Gorge starts about 1.5 mile from Woodruff bridge so you can walk as little as 3 miles and enjoy the river from calm to raging.

Fun place to hike with kids or go for a run! I liked it so much hiking with a group of kids that I went back the next day and ran it. Shady and covered by trees. The ground feels padded and bouncy I loved it.

Great hike! Like your in a scene out of the movies..... very jungle and hidden. We loved it. Did upper and lower. Did see one single person just our group of four.

Really great. We opted to do this trail over Kentucky Falls after reading reviews that the road to that trailhead was rough. We were there first week of September and saw maybe 6-10 people the entire loop, not bad. There are some crawfish living in the gentle streams below, hiding in the rocks. “Swimming” is possible also, but since it’s so cold, we just kept jumping in and getting out immediately. Many different small waterfalls leading to the main waterfall at the end, I would recommend parking at the further parking lot to really experience this area.

Delightful paved stroll down to the basalt shoreline where Thor’s Well thrills immediately before and after high tide. Use caution! The spout it also fun, as the surf churns up the channel and pounds the rocks concussively.

Not much water in early Sept but a pretty hike on a gorgeous day. Gonna have to do it again after we get some rain and the falls are running. Ran into 5 or 6 other groups hiking today.

Enjoying the walk along the river with my dogs.

We love this trail. You can either stay on the path or if you don’t mind getting your feet wet you can work your way up the creek.

One of the easiest close to the coast hikes!! Beautiful all around.

This is one of my favorite hikes near Eugene because it’s lightly trafficked, unlike Spencer’s Butte, and feels very wild even though it’s so close to Lowell and Eugene. It’s relatively easy, with a few steep parts and switch backs, and the mini falls provides a nice swim. The only main downsides is that there is not much of a view and the trail can be quite muddy between November and May so bring boots that you don’t mind getting dirty and won’t soak through. Otherwise, though, it’s a great day hike!

Def easy but we had a child and a baby in a backpack so it worked. Otherwise it was convenient to the group campsite and beautiful views of the lake.

What a fantastic trail! Easy for everyone and so many sights to see from cool bridges and catwalks to waterfalls and swimming holes..... ran out of time stopping so often for fun that we didn’t complete the trail- will have to return again next time we are in town.

Took us about 5 hours, taking our time. Little to no current when we went early in the day. Lots of log snags and dam portage, which added to the fun. Saw the river otters and lots of egrets, ospreys, and kingfishers. Really a relaxing float.

My favorite down 138. There's something about these falls that just make me so happy every time I see it. Easy trail. I like to bring a lunch and eat it at the falls.

Beautiful trail.

We did this hike on our way home from camping at Odell Lake and enjoyed the reward of Goodman Creek. We did not go past Goodman Creek and it's inviting swimming hole and mini falls. There was a small campsite made at this junction, but sadly, whomever camped there felt that the forest would look much prettier with their collection of toilet paper and body waste off the side of the trail. It was approx 4 miles round trip from Hardestry Trailhead, moderate and mostly dry. Some steep inclines but mostly gradual and a pleasant hike.

Easy and Fun hike with kids and dogs. Trail follows water most of the time. Beautiful cave/crack in rocks that the kids loved. Easily completed this and Susan Creek Falls before nap time with 2 year old in backpack and 4 year old hiking. Busy during summer and weekends.

This was a great short hike, easy for all

Beautiful scenery and a decent trail. For mountain biking this trail Should be rated difficult Saw three other cyclists and we all had wrecked off the trail.
