WE ARE GOING AGAIN! Do I need to say more. Great trail. VERY busy, but that is to be expected in RMNP. The trail gets warm by midmorning so start early.

Beautiful trail in Park. Falls, trees lots of boulders. Be aware no cell service in area so have a map if not familiar w roads. Drive up 7 from Lyons is gorgeous!

Great afternoon hike, didn't get ticks and got a sweat up. The valley at the top is great for a picnic but pack light as the hike up can be hard. The dogs had a fun time!

Short. Easy. Beautiful.

Great drive with some awesome views. Would consider this an easy road for off-road driving. You do drive through private property to get to the trail so mind your speed, so not stop and be courteous if you encounter any land owners. All gates were open when I drove the entire length of the trail 08/04/18.

well maintained trail. not too hard but not too easy. I did the whole thing and was definitely tired by the time I got back to the trailhead. minor elevation changes.

It was an awesome hike along the river. Some awesome campsites off to the sides. It is a bit busy along those but once you are about half a mile in, it’s beautiful and pretty much empty. We would definitely hike here again.

Super easy trail and not too crowded on a Thursday. But make sure you count your change after you pay!!! I paid $16 for the permit instead of $11..... Should’ve counted when he handed me my change. I wouldn’t go again, but it was beautiful!

The Dowdy Lake trail was a fun 2.5 mile walk/hike. The directions take you to a trail map, but you have to park (& pay the $6) in the day use area, which is near the entrance. We missed it, and had to backtrack, after asking the park rangers. Once we got parked/paid, the trail was right there!! Lots of amazing views, and boulders for climbing. A super fun trail!

It was a nice walk. My ten year old husky thought the trail down was fun and the walk back up a little bit tougher. We had a nice time and would do it again.

Easy walk around a lake in a beautiful setting. Part of the loop can get hot, but other parts have lots of trees and provided welcomed shade!

Joe & ken are wrong & most like locals who just don’t want you up here... I ride it & drive my 4x4 van up here all the time. Campered with a buddy up here 2 weeks ago. It’s open & is a legal road/trail to be on..

Beautiful hike, with the upper and lower Copeland Falls close to the trailhead. Calypso Cascades at the end are fantastic. Be aware that if you arrive later in the morning, you will likely have to park in the lot 1 mile from the trailhead.

Nice trail. Unlike most others the downhill starts at the beginning. Lots of biting flies so make sure you bring bug spray. Plenty of places to put your feet in the water. Trail is smooth and great for trail running.

The Long Lake TH was full so parked in a small lot off the road on west side of Brainard Lake before the TH turnoff. Up the road or on the trail are both easy routes and quick to Long Lake itself. Open well-maintained trail. Wild flowers all over the place this time of year. Very little elevation and it was all mild. Great stream crossings.

Amazing views. Low traffic. Just straight nature. Loved it. Took my dogs and it tires them out

Great short hike for an afternoon. The climb was exerting if you're not used to the altitude, but doable nonetheless. Watch close for the turn off the road! Easy to miss it.

Hiked on Sunday before fully understood how app worked. Unable to post any pix now and have no recording of hike. Fairly easy hike with a couple up and downs but enjoyable. Several views of meadows and streams. Was told the cabin not very far by a family coming down and completely missed the ruins because a young bull (paddle size) crosses trail in front of us right at cabin and was focused on watching him travel away with cabin at our backs. Found ruins on return trip. Did not see any bighorns today. Pretty opening and Colorado river at Lulu City.

gorgeous trail! Loved it! The cascades are beautiful!

Easy, well manicured trail to gorgeous falls. Loved it.

Beautiful and easy hike. There’s lots of trees so it was shaded. Kayaked the perimeter of the west lake. Lots of fish jumping but none were biting. One of my favorite places in Colorado.

Trail is great. Road to trail is not the best and full of bikers.

7/1/18: What a beautiful trail! Much of the hike is through pine forests with packed dirt/rock, like many RMNP trails. Amazing views of Long's peak and nearby peaks. The falls is gorgeous. We went another 0.9 miles to Ouzel falls, which was just as nice. For a Sunday, this trail had only light-moderate traffic; crowded right at the end near the falls, where the Wild Basin trail connects. Pretty wildflowers. A great way to get into RMNP for free and (at least in the beginning) avoid the typical tourist traffic.

Visited 1 July 2018 and trail was well. We parked at the TH at 0630 and the lot had a few cars in it but by the time we left at 1100 there was a line of 15 cars waiting to park.

just awesome!

It was an amazing hiking trail. We all had a great experience and would highly recommend this trail.

Absolutely gorgeous views the whole way! My husband and I hiked this a few weeks ago in early June and it was so nice! I was dealing with a rare case of altitude sickness so we didn’t end up going all the way to Ouzel Falls which I was sad about but the rest of the hike was so beautiful we couldn’t complain. We will return and acclimate better next time before doing this hike and make it to the Falls!
