I've been around Claude Moore Park more than a couple times, and although it's mostly flat and winding with basic trails, it does have that "historic feeling" to it. It's nice and easy, perfect for new hikers and their families in the Loudoun area. Watch out, it can get muddy in some spots. They have the Heritage Farm Museum, and Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center of PRCS. (CMRCC). Drop by both of those if you have the chance.

Relatively flat and well marked path. Nice views of the water and the falls. Started a little crowded around 9/9:30. Took us about an hour with our dog.

Nice quick easy trail to get some fresh air close to home.

Trails not clearly marked, but plenty of them. A great hike finding them way.

Mostly flat with mild elevation changes. Trails are marked, but can be confusing at intersections. All trails interconnect so you can make it back to your start point.

A few muddy spots, and puddles.

Visitor center had restrooms for quick wash up after activity.

Area is nice. Trails are marked but not well kept. Lots of different trails around the park and a nice visitor center. Also has a nature center but didn’t get a chance to check it out.

Really nice trail to the water falls. Cliff trail was great and is dog friendly. Trail is a little wet and muddy in places.

I would disagree with the rating being “easy.” I’ve run many trails and am an avid ultramarathoner and trail runner and I’d rate this as moderate and very enjoyable.

nice and easy trail in the middle of sterling, va. i'm sure i'll be back to either run it or ride it.

I did not think that the trail was moderate. I took the cliff trail up to the falls, which had nice terrain and was a good workout. The falls trail was easy.

This trail is moderately trafficked and has tons of dog poop all over it. The trail itself is not challenging enough to be classified as moderate. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

It is a nice trail. There is not that much of a traffic in trail itself. Do not try to invent a new trail path since with one mistake you will end up to the streets around the park. Just follow the path people already tried you will have fun. I created the videos below from the trail FYI.

Nice trail wrapping a beautiful community park. Highly recommend doing the loop trail and finishing up the day with a picnic by the lake at one of the tables there.

-narrow, single lane path
-mostly dirt, good for running
-follow white/lt blue hash marks on trees

Very pleasant surprise to find this well maintained, easy trail with river, woods and cows grazing within 10 minuets from Francis Scott Mall.

A easy trail for walking

Easy trail - mind your step as it can get a bit rocky and muddy in some areas. This trail will take you from Great Falls Park up to Riverbend Park and back. Bug spray is a plus in the summer months when the mosquito are in full force.

great hike in the middle of the busy city. I'm visiting from New Mexico and this was an easy get away. The staff were friendly and helpful too!

Parts of this trail are beautiful but we kept saying how it would be a lot better on a horse. We had to cross streams without any rocks to step on numerous times to stay on the 3.5 mile loop we were following. It was tricky to find all the trails and we never would have gotten out without GPS. I may go again but would wait until the ground dries because the trails were also super muddy!

not an easy trail as it is listed. no signs, only painted colors on trees. not for kids by any means, no clear views of any water, muddy, overgrown. don't waste your time.

Great out & back for all levels and is kid friendly. Gets very crowded, so get there early. Very scenic with the river along the entire length of the trail, with plenty of places to stop and enjoy the views.
