Did this trail back in March, wonderful views and long enough for a great workout.

A great hike to do and the overlook spots had beautiful views.

love the waterfalls, and huge rock formations along the creek.

Great little trail for a quick hike. Beautiful view of the Tennessee River! We love that we can access it by kayak.

Nice easy trail with pretty overlooks of mountains.

Driving directions for starting at the bottom, on Hwy 136 going toward Trenton from Main Park Entrance, turn right into Canyon Park Estates, go about .4 of a miles and turn right onto Canyon Park Drive in about .2 of miles turn into park (watch for sign)
Beautiful trail runs next to the Creek all the way up ends (or begins) with 600+ steps, Hemlocks, Oakleaf Hydrangeas and other wild flowers, moderate hike, best after a rain.

Beautiful hike - lots of roots and rocks! This time I combined with Sitton Gulch for 10+ mile hike

Beautiful trail!!

First 1.5 miles of trail is a wide limestone gravel pathway with a slight incline. This portion of the trail is heavily utilized by a diverse and abundant group through out the day. The rushing creek is a very calming feature that is show cased through out the trail prior to the creek crossing. A feature that is not so prominent is a natural fountain on the left side of the creek before you reach the 3/4 mile marker. The waterfall just beyond the 1 mile mark is another highlight of the trek. The footing at the waterfall is a wet crossing. You can dry navigate this area by staying left and on the rocks, however choosing this route places the not so steady on their feet in an awkward footing situation and impedes traffic.
The trail beyond the creek crossing is moderate-hard there are multiple downed trees that you will have to navigate. The footing is rocky with some muddy passages. The width of the trail is clear for single passage as this appears to be a previous logging/fire road. The incline is moderate to semi- steep. Trail is not marked beyond the creek crossing.
Overall a fantastic trail that is conveniently located.

Love this trail. I've been in and out of Sitton's for over 25 years. Nice, wide, trail w/ plenty of room to pass hikers and pets. :) Beautiful forest!

Very good trail. 2.6 miles and worth the effort! Watch out for a lot of roots along g the path though. I'd give it a moderate rating.

Gorgeous!! The hike would be classed MODERATE as rated. Mainly because of the roots and rocks one has to navigate on virtually the whole trail. The views are incredible and we caught the Fall foliage just at the right time!! November 3rd was a perfect day for our hike. I recommend this to all my hiking friends.

Beautiful and a good hike with some challenging parts! Crowded at the beginning/end. Do the waterfalls trail while you’re there!

Great overlooks. Beautiful fall colors Nov 4th. We got there about 1030 and not awful crowded but on the way out near the beginning of the trail lots of hikers just arriving. Glad we came on the earlier side! Took us a little over 2 hours. This trail has some ups/downs but a good deal of fairly level walking too. Definitely lots of roots and rocks.

I had a great time hiking and running on this trail with my daughter. The trail head was just off the exit from the highway and very easy to access, it was mid afternoon and there was no one else there. For a trail so close to a highway it felt very peaceful. I highly recommend this trail. Single track, rocky, nice hills, very beautiful.

Wow! Beauty all around but it was definitely a Moderate hike. So many rocks and roots to navigate along the way but worth it. Just have to take your time. The water, rock formations and multiple lookouts were spectacular. Leaves were peak so lots of people. Go early and you might get some peaceful moments!

Excellent trail!

Tough to beat!

This a great 3.3 miler just outside of Chattanooga...easy to get to and a great easy to moderate hike with woods, interesting rock formations and a rewarding view of Nickajack Lake at the farthest out point. If you take the right turn on the loop you will have an easier go of it. The left way will create a rocky ascent at one point in the trail where it is moderate. The trail is well blazed if you go left but some of the blazes have disappeared if you tackle it from the right so you may want to look over your shoulder if you get off the path. This is a great trail for Fall through Spring but can get overgrown in the summer.

Just hiked here. Amazing views and a fairly easy trail if you hike a lot. Doesn’t feel like 5.9 miles in. I started at 7:30 and got back to my car at 12 and I hung around the overlook for about an hour. Feels more like 4 miles for the whole thing. Absolutely beautiful especially since the trees have started to change color!

Enjoyed the steps cut through Indian Rockhouse and other scenic spots along the way. The view at Snooper's Rock is a must see and a great photo op. Took my dog on this hike and she had a great time.

The parking area is on the right and clearly marked. There is a trail that intersects directly to the parking area, but that's not the one for this hike. This trailhead is across the dirt road.

Enjoyable hike through the woods. Rocky terrain with some nice scenery of the Tennessee river. Marked really well.

Very nice for hike with family and/or friend. Dito other reviews.
Little trash, except for some micro trash...bottle caps, cig butts, etc. Pretty good considering its the trashiest state in the union!!!
