Perfect trail for the kids. Well maintained. Lots of spots to stop and take in the calming sounds of the stream. Plenty of birds. Option to return via carriage road but who wants to do that?!

Very easy, flat trail. Very nice once you get away from the road. Nice views of the lake, trees and hills.

Definitely not easy going down when the stones are wet. Even with hiking boots it was slick due to the lichen on the stones. Beautiful trail though with history and scenic views.

Never knew that “bar” harbor was a sand bar! If you’re in the area, you must do it once. It’s the most tourist hike second to Cadillac. The views and such are (3) stars but the act of walking across the bar is literally awe-some.

Easy trail and great views for fall foilage and carriage roads. would reccomend renting or bringing a bike for the carriage roads.

What views! Just be forewarned that during black fly season, basically no amount of bug spray can save you (this is true anywhere in the area, I just experienced it for myself on this particular trail). The hike is really pleasant and not too challenging, a great return on investment given the spectacular views on the Bubbles Trail. I did the loop clockwise though, so the latter half felt a little anticlimactic; I would definitely recommend starting from Jordan Pond Carry and going the other direction!

its a unique fun and short hike anyone can do

Great views and a really nice hike. Awesome for the dogs, very enjoyable.

Yep, the description is definetly for the carriage trail NOT the Hadlock Brook Trail which was at the end pretty challenging as it rained the day before and was very slippery. Went up with our 2 Suisse Mountain dogs. They loved it. This is not an easy trail. This description is for the carriage trail which is an easy „road „ for bikers.

beautiful scenery!

Beautiful surroundings! I would love to visit again.

Pretty walking loop trail

Great views, easy hike in and back!

this needs to be retitled the Hadlock Carriage Path trail loop. Calling it the Hadlock Brook loop trail is deceivibg as the Hadlock Brook Trail is a moderate to severe trail not suited for inexperienced hikers, ill equipped hikers or anyone not in good condition. We took THAT trail believing yhat was what was described here.

This was my favorite hike in Acadia. Took the path in counterclockwise which began as a beautiful alpine trail, then evolved into rocky path (boulders really) and finally an incline up to North Bubble. Heading down North Bubble was as challenging as it would be climbing up since it is a very steep incline. Views od Eagle Lake are spectacular from all vantage points but absolutely breath taking from Conners Nubble. I added a view of South Bubble (and Bubble rock) which was also manageable for two 53 year olds in pretty good shape.

Not easy, but very interesting and rewarding. Stone steps up and down.

We had a great little hike on this trail with our dogs. Having full access to water for them on a hot day was perfect and the mostly flat trail was great for our older dog. We did the full loop around the pond and it took about an hour and a half. This trail is part of a really neat trail system and nature preserve with many other trail options/carriage roads in the immediate surrounding area. Ended the hike with a doggie play session at the little dog swimming and play area near Route 3, and finished with a trip across the road to enjoy the ocean!

Just the right walk for a just before it rained - day. Short but very pretty

A short run through woodland floor gives way to a rocky scramble along the west shore of Eagle Lake, then a carpet of pine needles before you turn uphill to the rocky landings that give this trail part of its name. Challenging but not killer, there are fabulous vistas in every direction, even on a day when fog occasionally shrouded the high points. Well worth breaking a good sweat for this one!

Great easy hike to get some awesome views of Acadia. We actually started the day off by climbing South Bubble right before tackling this loop and it didn’t add too much to the overall time or effort required.

Easy walking trail with a slight inclines in a few areas. We walked the 6 miles around the lake. Not to crowded saw bikers, runners and walkers. Nice shade cover. Please take the time to sit on a rock and enjoy the lake. There are some very nice spots on the one side of the lake. (left side)

As the other reviews “suggested” don’t go at high tide - impassable then. Short trail. Was foggy when we went so couldn’t see anything.

Small trail with wildflowers and paved path takes you to the edge of the ocean.. Saw lots of birds, squirrels and a deer

Nice overview of Bar Harbor. Hike is easy and relaxing. The water break is usually very crowded

Not a very exciting view, and entirely too many people.

Blue trail along the lake required some rock climbing.

Well marked trail. Trailhead off of Rt 3. Easy, short, historic hike to the Atlantic Ocean.

We combined Wonderland and Ship Harbor by climbing on the shore/rocks from one to the other. The trail is super easy (maybe even a bit boring) but the shore is super fun and beautiful. Especially with kids its a lot of fun.

These carriage road trails around Eagle Lake offer spectacular views every season. Most of this 6+ mile loop is a flat wide gravel path with a short steep windy section. So far I've hiked, snowshoed, and mountain biked this loop. During winter there're established cross country skiing tracks. Excellent fishing opportunities; I've uploaded photos from winter 2018 ice fishing trip. This loop trail offers numerous junctions where the carriage road continues in many directions throughout the park.
