Pretty walk in the middle of the city. Great for date nights - lots of people watching, dining and drinking options, art, etc. Love coming in the morning to watch the sunrise.

it's a good trail for walk, but you still can hear the traffic noise

Gorgeous area to hike with dogs. Make sure you have a gps or map as it’s easy to get a little turned around in there.

beautiful day on the trail today. did it in 1h40 and was walking with a fast pace. most scenic views are to the right on the first half of the trail. will definitely be back

Nice 2 hour and 15 minute hike but quite frequent encounters on this loop.

We loved this trail - the Great Oak Loop was a great little hike with our 3 year old! Lots of spots to stop and rest, take in the view and play in the lake.

Great trail for a brisk walk !!

This was only my second hike ever, parts were challenging, but overall great trail and view at the top. Can’t wait to try the rest of the loops!

Beautiful views.

Did this as a family 2 years ago and loved it! 7.5 hours at a leisurely pace. Beautiful scenery.

Best done in May before bugs and people come out! Or in the Fall maybe.

Entrance to trail hard to find behind Kent...Did trail counter clockwise. Fairly clear to follow at first once found...but then not easy due to tons of bunny trails until you get to lake where trail literally disappears...had to u-turn back. Will try doing again clockwise and hope be able to do full loop that way.

Great public space in the middle of Halifax city with outstanding views. Lots going on with public art, business and plenty of places to eat, refresh, drink and dine.

Once we reached the trail it easy enough to follow. Lake was pretty. We parked at Maskwa and walked in from there. We relied on our GPS doing it this way and added 2km to our hike. Also got to see Charlies Lake by taking this route.

great hike with variety of levels (easy to moderate). neat to see the Jack pine growth after the forest fire.

Beautiful trail and views. We picked a very hot and humid day to hike here and will choose a cooler day next time. Luckily, we had lots of water with us and we took our time! Highly recommend this trail.

This is particularly nice early morning. Ferries sounding the foghorns, sunrise, smell of coffee brewing just to name a few.

Oh wow! What a beautiful location and walk for any time of the day. It gets better after sun down with the restaurants and shops lighting their patios. You won't want to miss the sunrise and sunsets.

Really enjoyed this trail. Lots of great views. Well marked and easy to follow. Kids loved that there were lots of boulders to climb. Will be coming back to hike some of the other Bluff Trail loops.

I run this trail 1-2 times a year. A great workout and pushes me to my limits. If you are trail-running, plan at least an hour+ for this run and bring lots of water. If you are hiking, plan at least 3+ hours. everywhere along the course you will find great views.

Great hike. Really will do it again some day. I encourage everyone around to go and do it.

Great trail, but a little rough on the edges. It was maintained by the Bowater Mersey pulp company but after a takeover by Resolute Pulp, the trail was abandoned and all the trailhead signage was removed. The trail interpretation signage and bridges remain however and are in pretty good shape. There are cool remains of an old logging camp in the middle. Avoid in early spring as the Hiking Trail Road can be rough on non-4WD vehicles until it dries out and the trail can be icy. The first stretch on the historica Old Annapolis Road is an ATV trail and thus is rocky and eroded but the trail soon soon branches off and becomes a nice forest and lakeside path.

Great hike very beautiful with lots of places to stop and enjoy the view. As often said lots of roots and some climbs but all in all doable.

This is a well laid out trail with plenty of scenery. I’ve done it multiple times.

Great trail with lots of granite, new entrance on Alabaster way is nice with easy access. Lots of options for almost every level of rider. One of my favourites around Halifax.
Nice to see a fair amount of work is being done on the trails.

Great little trail. Given my experience I would rate it as moderate. A lot of rocks and roots to walk through and a few good climbs.

Make sure you go to the look off part very nice view

Beautiful! Great moderate hike.
