Nice place to hike with a decent amount of parking. The bridge over the creek could use some maintenance because one hand rail was broke and the bridge itself was not level. The trail could use some better signage too and I was unable to locate a waterfall on the main trail. I’m guessing you have to follow the creek down stream to find it

near Berea Ky. Out of the way place but worth going to. The hike starts easy but gets progressively challenging especially the last little push to the waterfall. huge ice in winter, beautiful flowers in spring, safe trail, in dry weather no waterfall.

Yahoo is definitely one of my favorite places. The trail is definitely a hike, but its perfect for Fall!

Best hike in central Kentucky for exploring the geology of the palisades rock formations. Unique trail puts you up against the palisade walls as you follow their contour alongside the river.

I think its great especially if there is a water fall not always the case. Also, if you go far deep into the hike it gets even better but harder. Ive gone twice and enjoyed both times! And my dog loved it as well!

Awesome trail. The falls were beautiful. I met some very nice people.

Been coming here for years. love it

This was our first visit. We didn't locate the falls found in the photos; however, we did see a rapidly flowing creek and beautiful forest. Our 7 year old did just fine on the trail. It was pretty muddy and there was a few areas where we had to use caution; but, it was a very nice hike. Lots of butterflies. We will go back.

Slippery When Wet! Nice trail, attractive views but was very slippery in areas. We had appropriate hiking boots and it was still a little too ‘exciting’ in places!

Nice trail, the fall was really cool.. you don’t have to take the staircase down, if you keep walking the trail loops around and you can get down on the other side... good information, if you have a dog.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Went w my grown kids and we all loved it

Fun trail. Make sure to start at the trailhead on the left of the parking lot. makes the stairs not so bad. Knights Ferry trail is almost completely grown up so we didn't get to see a lot of the river.

Went with family and dog. Loved it just make sure to have good shoes with traction.

We did this today and the views and hike were great. Only downfall was the ticks!! We sprayed boots, pants and socks and just pulled 20 baby size ticks off of the wife.

It is a beautiful place. You can see the falls with a much shorter hike though. (I have done both hikes.) If you go to the main entrance for Yahoo Falls there is a small parking lot and bathrooms. From this point it is only about 1/2 mile to the falls. You can cross over at the top of the falls (just don't take the path that says it goes to the arch) and take a trail down to the bottom of the falls. Very pretty area. There are steps going up if you cross over at the base of the falls...they are real "thigh-burners"...or go back up the path you came down. Makes for a nice, cooler, shorter, kid friendly, hike.

Beautiful. Very soothing once you reach the falls.

I can't believe this is here and I've never heard of it. Amazing trail.

Hiked this trail back in June for my birthday. I took the metal steps down to where you can pick up the trail to hike along the creek or go on out to the Falls. I took the creek, it seemed less traveled and it gets tight and wet in spots. I actually got off the trail once for a bit but got back on with no problem(yes, a bit of an adrenaline rush). Went up to the Falls and cooled off, went on out to Yahoo Arch and out some of the old road Negro Creek Loop and then back but stayed on the trail that takes you across the top of the Falls. (This is part of a back country trail that hooks into the Sheltowee Trace Trail. You can also stay at Alum Ford Campground as well as the backcountry)

Beautiful scenery, not too difficult trails but just watch where stepping and would recommend taking a walking stick.

Great short hike to a awesome waterfall. Make sure its been raining a bit prior to going fall was little slower than usual but still a beautiful place. Kids loved it as wasn't long at all.

I’ve been to this trail twice this summer and will be heading back in the fall. It’s a quick hitting trail if you’re in a crunch for time, but is also a place you could spend hours enjoying the views and water. We usually get in the creek at the wooden bridge and follow it all the way until the end to start our descent (you’ll know when you’ve hit the end, trust me). You’re gonna need some shoes with grips for this trail because of the wet and at times challenging terrain. This trail is not for the faint of heart, but is definitely achievable. 5/5 recommend.

The trails here are very dangerous and slick. I fall and hurt myself. My boyfriend slid almost fall over a cliff and lost his walking stick. If you go here be extremely careful and let someone know where you are going.

We hiked this trail over the weekend. It was very beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A very beautiful place and we will be going back again

The trail is well marked and in great condition. There is a steep climb on the way out but I hike to challenge my body and this is the perfect introduction for someone training.

We hiked the upper rim trail to the falls (not much flow) and returned to the junction for the lower trail down many metal steps into the gorge. The lower trail was much more impressive. Trail signage was minimal and trails were often overgrown. We hiked about two miles.

Super hard to find and google maps doesn’t do a good job of getting you there, but that’s just part of getting there. Once you find it, it’s a super cool trail with a lot to explore.

The trailhead could be difficult to find. I’d say the trail difficulty to the falls is easy-moderate. Access above falls is a little more challenging. We hiked after and during wet weather. This makes for a more spectacular water fall experience. Word of precaution: the trail and boulders are very slick during even the slightest rain.
