Great way to walk in the woods! Every mile offered a sense of discovery. Would love to come back for an overnight trip!

Pretty little Lake loop

Beautiful short walk to the falls. Took my four kids and they enjoyed it!

Great work out! I loved the variation in trails. We got a bit lost at first but it was definitely worth it!!

Beautiful hike, and right out back of the house

Great hike, loops seamlessly to the Dome. Bit strenuous with the snow at lower elevations with the slush. Higher up though it was easier, despite the 8ish inches of snow.

During the hike it was a bit snowy and slippery but beautiful. Would do it again.

Great walk for families with young children. Brings you up close to the edge of the Skagit River. Also a bonus playground, bbq and toilet area located at the parking lot. If you wanted to make a day of it and have a picnic or bbq

This hike is so incredible! I've hiked it twice now and I'm always in awe! It's fairly difficult due to the steepness and the distance. But once you get to the top, it's all worth it. You forget all the pain and mosquito bites your endured on the way up. That view is so worth it!

This is an very beautiful trail! There are stunning views of the Nooksack River almost constantly and the trail seems to go on forever. It's very picturesque, I would highly recommend it to photographers.

Oyster Dome is a five star hike with the views! Skip these lakes as they looking like swamps! Head down the hill and spend your time eating the areas fresh oysters and local beers instead.

Super easy, good for a quick run! Took my 12 week old puppy up with no problem!

Started from the northern east bank and hiked and about a mile past noisy creek to stop and have lunch on the beach. Beautiful clear views of Baker and neighboring peeks. No snow or ice on trail or in the parking lot.

Great hike, did the Lower and Waterfall loops and plan to go back to do all three!

Well intended hike, rain and fog closed us in, great exercise with out a view, will return at a later date

A little slippery in spots but beautiful along the river. Some trees across trail near the end but we managed to climb over/around.

Astoundingly gorgeous. There was a little snow on the ground starting off in the morning, and by the time I got back in the afternoon the forest had changed completely. I went into a fall hike and came out of a winter hike. You’ll definitely want to bring trekking poles as there’s a small area that’s a fall hazard and you need to tread carefully. Visibility was maybe 600yards or so, and gave a creepy/beautiful winter vibe. The reds and greens of the forest mixed with the white snow are gorgeous.

As far as I could tell, I was the only person out there today (Only car in lot, the only other tracks I saw were rabbits).

Snow is about a foot on the actual ridge. I wouldn’t do this hike without waterproof hiking boots now. In a couple weeks, I imagine you’d want traction devices and gaiters too.

On my way back, there were multiple large downed branches I had to break through or driver over. Sagging plants from the snow brushed against my car where they weren’t before. If you have a 2wd drive car with a paint job you care about I’d wait till the snow clears in the spring.

Windy and cool, not cold, at the top on 10.29.17. Light snow on the ground, no spikes necessary yet. Phenomenal views of Baker, Shucksan, Table Mtn, Koma Kulshan, and more.

Stunning views, muddy trek.

Awesome panoramic view of the Cascade.

Even in the rain, the views didn't disappoint. Terrain was a bit unstable in some places, but nothing too crazy. Lots of pikas and birds were frolicking about and the sun came out a few times. Beautiful hike!

Fun trail! A bit steep at the beginning but the views around the lake are nice. Need a hike in under an hour? This may be it!

Great trail for an extended day hike. Lots of fun elevation and climbs

One of the best hikes I've been on. Amazing views once you reach the ridge. There are several knolls to your right, if you keep pushing through them you come right up to the foothills of baker.

Pretty along the river, but then the trail just ends in a weird spot. Little odd.

Beware! I couldn't get my 93 Eurovan up to parking lot! Last part of road was Steep with Huge boilerplate mountains! Had to back down and park on road the jump in friend's car. In his Toyota tundra you could barely feel the bumps.... when we hiked oyster dome before we went from chukanut so I wasn't aware of road conditions...
Hot day with family and friends. The steady hike up up ( good workout!) through the shady forest was perfect. Started at Samish overlook and went towards oyster dome but went to lily and lizard lakes instead. Lakes are beautiful inland lakes. Didn't seem swimmable like fragrance lake so kids (9,11,13) stayed out but quiet and beautiful lunch spot we had to ourselves up until we were about to leave. Went out via Max's shortcut to Larry reed.

Super fun hike but once you get above the tree line there's very little shade and no streams, at least I couldn't find any, so make sure your pups have lots of water! Saw a bear too which was pretty cool!
