This was a very quick with views of Gore Mountain and Loon Lake. It’s an easy hike that has decent views.

Definitely a walk in the woods. Can be done in regular sneakers ! Trail is mostly melted .. beautiful views from the tower ! Took up less than 20 minutes up and down

Hiked out from Johns brook lean too’s. Good hike, had older kids on their first backpacking trip. Colder at the top than expected in August.

Beautiful easy winter hike, first half next to the brook is incredible.

Nice little hike. First time on Rattlesnake in the winter!

My first time on the Snake in the Winter. Great hike as always.

I've done Sleeping Beauty multiple times but never in the winter. Went this weekend (2/18) and it was great. Snow on the trail was packed down enough to navigate, definitely needed microspikes and I was also glad I had my poles with me as well.

Easy walk, as prior reviewers said. If you are doing the fire tower challenge, it is the easiest trip. Nice view of the High Peaks to the west and a bit of Lake Champlain to the east

Nice hike during winter, didn’t need snowshoes or spikes. Although on our way down, it was slippery. There was few spots with ice, be careful. Great view and it’s not a long hike, took us about 3 hours.

Easy walk, it wasn’t too icy today. Beautiful view from the tower.

A couple of really awesome views along the way!! Nice obstacles towards the top (especially in the winter) totally worth it when you get to the top though!!

A nice trail to snow shoe with beautiful views at the top.

First hike by myself- screwed up and somehow went to fishbrook Pond- was amazing!!! Will definitely do this again. Hopefully be able to see all the ponds- this area has quite a bit to do as far as trails, hiked views, camping, etc. pretty sweet

great for hiking with a dog

I thought this trail was absolutely perfect for a beginner like me whose never been hiking before. The weather also cooperated the entire day for mid-October. Great little walk or short run along a dirt road. However Very rewarding views from the Fire Tower Cab for the short distance. Stopped here after Poke-O-Moonshine and was not disappointed.

Finally was able to complete this hike ! 2 weeks ago the sleet and rain took us out!

The last .8 was pretty icy but didn’t need spikes although we had them just in case !

Not a bigger hike

Plenty of things to see

The drive down to pick up the trail wasn’t packed

The wind was really heavy at the top , cover your face !

Warm clothes is a must ! It was 33 out and the top was around 25!

Over all great hike and would do it again !

Lovely walk with great views at the summit.

Hiked with family (3 kids aged 14,12 & 9). 2:45 round trip. Great views up top. Good bang for buck.

My dog Jake and I did a very quick hike up and down because we started out late. Trail is getting icy towards the top. As always the views are beautiful. I hike this once or twice a year.

Beautiful view at the top and some on the way up. No problem getting to the Dacy parking lot. The trail is icing up now which has made some of the trail tricky. Much of the trail is rocky but definitely manageable. The view is amazing and bumps pond beautiful.

Hiked Gilligan for the second time this year. Last time I did it in the rain and got no view. This time I did it on a chilly day with all the leaves on the ground. Really impressed with the view. Really fun little mountain!

Beautiful view, very easy for a moderate trail, family friendly. We drove in and parked at the 2 nd lot, we were done early enough to do bucks mountain the same day, now that’s a moderate trail

This was beautiful! Make sure to check out the Chimney by Bumps Pond, it was really neat!

Steep in spots but beautiful views from several different spots. My very athletic little 6 year old loved this hike.

It's not a hike. We did this after Cheney Mountain to grab some extra easy views and check it off the fire tower challenge. I didn't mind that it was an access road or that there were antenna buildings... But, I was let down by the amount of trash and graffiti... I get that it's a party spot and don't have a problem with that... But, at least please pick up your garbage.

Nice easy trail with cute views of Lake Champlain.

Definitely hard with a small child in a carrier. Rough terrain. Amazing hike
