Nice trails, very level...good walking and jogging...lots of birds including beautiful swans...

This was s decent hike with varying levels. it was neat to see different animals, especially up close with the cows.

Amazing! Super snowy and icy, perfect for snow shoeing and you can do the tunnels if you have yaktrax or poles and are willing to take your time and be okay with a few slips here and there.

Trail was a dirt access road that was not maintained. It would be difficult with a stroller. There is a steep hill half way through the loop. Trail was along the hillside with grazing cattle. I expected more of a trail along the waterway to view the birds. It was very windy on top of the hills. Would take this trail again.

The trailhead was a little tough to find-it was not the Judah lot (unless I missed it) as noted. We parked in a lot directly across from Donner Ski Ranch. There was a gate and then a tunnel almost immediately. It was pretty icy and flat. Definitely bring a headlamp and dress warmly. There was snow on the ground and the wind made it pretty cold. I would love to come hike this trail in the spring or summer, but I enjoyed going in winter. There are some beautiful views of Donner lake and some pretty incredible graffiti art.

Fun walk with the kids. Great views, we did not do the loop. Walked in and out

Great trails! You can pick trails from easy to moderate. Some of the trails could be better marked. I especially enjoyed hiking amongst the cows!

Loved this place, very peaceful and kids enjoy it as well

At the moment, this trail is snow-covered almost the entire way up. But the snow is firm enough that we were able to make it all the way to the lakes in regular hiking boots. Highly recommend making it to Upper Angora Lake, which I think is prettier than Lower.

I'm not sure I would love the hike without the snow because it is mostly paved road, but the snow made it lovely (and a good workout!) when I went yesterday.

Great hike in cooler weather, though I imagine in summer would be quite hot with lack of shade. Be aware that trail is very uneven due to cow traffic. Great views from the top of the ridge.

Couldn’t find the trailhead and got my car stuck in the snow with chains on

Nice place for a quick hike. Not a lot of elevation gain if that’s what you’re looking for. Lots of mountain bikers so be careful on some of the trails. Would definitely recommend for a quick hike or just a nature walk.

Peaceful. No cover. Kids had a good time. I love the informational picture boards along the trail.

Super simple hike with an amazing mountain lake at the top.

This is a nice hike if you live in the area due to its convenience. A lot of the trails are uneven due to the cows' hoof prints so it's important to step carefully so you don't sprain an ankle. Nice views of the San Pablo Bay along with all the area peaks (Mt. Tam, Mt. Diablo, Mt. Saint Helena). You can expand your hike by entering Lynch Canyon Open Space Preserve which connects with Newell OSP.

Went in December and this trail was not fun. Almost the entire tunnel portion was iced over and treacherous.

The views were still amazing though and I would love to go back in the summer.

I love this trail! The graffiti art is spectacular, as is the view

Great views. Lots of dogs, horses, and slugs (DONT STEP ON THEM!) Rocky trail, but I made it in vans alright.

Trail to beautiful Angora Lake (and its resort) leads from the 2nd parking area. ($7 day use fee.) Short trail to Angora Ridge overlooking Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe begins between the 1st and 2nd parking lots.

this was a very neat trail!!! so many BEAUTIFUL views!!!! today was the perfect weather not too hot and not too cold!!

Even though the lack of signage made it confusing the views were gorgeous and the trail was challenging but not overly so in some areas. I'll definitely go back

Beautiful little lake with a small summer resort sitting right next to it.

Nice place to hike bc most trails loop back to where they started. I hiked this route and decided to also do the Upper Tilly area to add another 1.75 miles or so. The only wildlife I saw were squirrels and blue jays. And plenty of mountain bikers.

I have mixed feelings about this trail. 50% is walking through dark tunnels. While I thought it was interesting and unique (something I had never done before), it got old pretty quickly. It's dark, and the path is not exactly comfortable (bf and I rolled our ankles a couple times). That being said, the views of the surrounding area are pretty spectacular. Once you reach the end of the tunnels, you walk for a bit on rocky, leveled ground for a bit. Then, you make a right and hike up to the peak. The top was amazing. Beautiful views and a perfect spot to rest/eat. So, just keep in mind you'll be walking in the dark for quite a while (it was about 1.5 hours total for us), but the views up top are amazing!

The scenery was great, stopped at the gate though after another hiker warned us of snakes beyond the gate. Hiked 2 miles.

Great trail! We did the loop trail... we went out through the sheds (spooky! Take a light) and looped back (steep uphill made us break a sweat) and returned on top of some of the snow sheds. A bit sketchy but great views and very interesting!

Wow! This is my new favorite spot to run. It has everything I need: amazing views, alternate routes, hills and spots for scrambling, hidden gems...
I could run here again and again and take a different system of trails each time. Although I could appreciate some people being frustrated by confusing signage, I'm completely open to making impulsive decisions in the moment.
Other: Quite a few friendly mountain bikers out. This place probably gets slippery in spots during a good rain. Feels secluded but you can hear the road and buzzing power lines. Surprised by lots of garbage and graffiti up at the cave.
Will def be back! Worth $3 for sure.

Cool dark graffiti covered tunnels. Great views of Donner lake. Many side-adventures for brush crashing and rock scrambling.
