Beautiful views; rough roads but worth the bumps!

Had a lot of fun. A few tough parts but nothing beyond 4 High in my TJ on 33's. A few blind spots where you need to be wary of oncoming traffic. There were a couple of spots where the trail was a little confusing but overall it was easy to navigate.

My wife and I took my stock Chevy 1500 crew cab on this trail. It was a ruff ride for my wife. I had a blast. The bumps and beautiful views were well worth it. We turned back after 5 miles.

Lots of trails but please take out what you bring in and help protect this land.

Fun for just a day run and a place to stop for a bag lunch.

This was our first hike in Sedona. Recommend getting an early start for two reasons. First, the parking lot is really small...might fit about 20 cars. We got there at 0800 and there were about 8 cars in the lot. Second, the trail was much quieter at 8 than it was at 1030 when we finished. Also, at 1030, there were cars waiting to park.

The trails were listed as easy. They weren't bad. If it was rainy or frosty, there may have been issues as some of the rocks may get slick. The elevation changes were pretty apparent, but the views were worth every step.

There were plenty of people with dogs...all leashed. Some mountain bikers, but not too many.

Trail is listed as a loop. When we got to the end, we had a little trouble finding the loop...so we back tracked the hike in. That being said, I felt the trails were really well marked. All total, probably 3 miles and some change, but a good walk.

One of our favorite trails here. Fun, winding, climbing trail. Lots of people but not anymore crowded than Soldiers. The climb to Chicken Point was a nice short workout.

This was a perfect fit for a late morning start for a couple of us jeep gals. We didn't go to the cabin we choose to go towards the mine, testing our skills :) I have a stock LJ with 33's and her's is a JK with 33's also, but she has a 2-3" lift if I remember right. Both vehicles had no problems at all. Great scenery also. I would go back just to be able to go down and check out the cabin.

unbelievable sights and easy trail

I love this trail. It's small but yet challenging in some area's. Finally got to go down devil's stair case in the rain. Made my girls scream sliding down. The best!!

Great trail. Nice views and good for all running shapes!

Very well marked trail. It’s a busy area with many hikers and bikers. Everyone was considerate in the narrow areas. If it has rained or there is frost on the trail be careful walking on the slate. We had our dogs and they had some issues on the slippery parts. All-in-all, this trail is highly recommended.

easy, nice views. Can be done in a 2 wheel drive. Busy road. alot of others out for the scenery also.

Easy hike. We did only part walking with an older dog great views even on a short walk.

awesomely beautiful trail....easy....a little rocky but just amazing.

fun but u have to go left after 1 mile and go up mountain alot fun be careful

Hiked a portion of this trail today to fill some available time this afternoon. Wish we would have had time to explore more of it and the connected trails. Great views and a manageable challenge.

Incredible. Serious. Wow.. like whoa.

The view was amazing! Climbed up between the Rabbits ears, and also walked the White Line trail. Pink Jeep tours are going through the area so there are a lot of people wandering in the area. Nice little hike. Not too strenuous, unless you try scrambling up into the slot canyons, which are also phenomenal!

Great off road trail. Moderate traffic but doable. This was our first trip out with our FJ and it was amazing. Followed Pink Jeep which was helpful through the rocky areas.

Nice easy up and down slope trail with great red rock views. Can be done with children, no steep drop offs.

Trail is an easy drive but is bumpy. 4WD wasn’t needed as it was just rocky and slow going. Scenery is what makes this trail worth going down.

Awesome trail for off road driving however I would not rate it as an easy trail for driving but maybe moderate. You will find out pretty quickly if your vehicle can or can’t make it.

This is a great trail, I did it on foot and on one of the Pink Jeep Tours as well. It’s appropriate for all ages and some gorgeous rocks to be seen. It can get a bit dusty but there are some gorgeous photography shots awaiting you.

This was a fun shorter trail with two options. Staying left and going to the cabin was fairly easy. Going right to the mine is NO JOKE. If you're in a jeep it wouldn't be bad, but a longer vehicle is difficult to manage the tippy shelf corners that are washing out a bit. I would not try the mine trail in a stock SUV or road motorcycles (long story). Also, from waypoint 3 to 4 there are sections that you have to commit to and not much for turnarounds or two way traffic. Coming back was a bit harder than going from WP3 to WP4.

Fantastic, easy trail, very well marked (if you pay attention to the signs and cairns), very little elevation change, and almost level ground. If you only have one day in Sedona or can make it on only one hike, this is a very good choice - go all the way to Chicken Point. You can make it a loop if you take the Twin Buttes/High On The Hog trails (a little more advanced). Or you can circumnavigate the butte (just check the map first). Engine whine from the occasional jeep mars the experience a bit. Leashed dogs allowed. To get to the parking lot you have to drive 'off-road' for a couple hundred feet - a bit rougher terrain than I like in a sedan but nothing an Altima can't handle, just go really slow on the iffy bits. Plenty of rental sedans in the lot.

Fun easy trails, unfortunately the popular shooting spots are a mess! The shooters clearly don’t think the leave no trace signs apply to them. We saw appliances, couches, coolers, and who knows what else. Once you get off the easy access trails it’s really pretty and enjoyable. Next time we will bring trash bags to help clean up our trails.

The hike consisted of twin buttes, high on the hog, broken arrow and the side trail to submarine rock. This a popular area and you will cross areas where vehicles are allowed but it has some nice variation in geography ,well used by bikers. The rock formations are interesting. If you take the side trail to submarine you can come back a short distance on the road back to broken arrow. Stick to broken arrow or the roads if you just want a easy walk.

We rode our Polaris General 4 from Munds Park down this road to Sedona. The views were fantastic and we had plenty of places to stop and take photographs. The road itself isn’t challenging but it is very rough for most of the ride. A few sporadic places where full size vehicles would need to navigate carefully but nothing extreme. We made a day trip out of it riding from Munds to have lunch in Sedona and take a couple other trails before returning the same route back to Munds. Catching sunset from the top of this trail was pretty great and if it gets dark and you don’t want to head back down, you can just cut over to the I17.

Great trail for some easy riding and sight seeing. Nice views throughout. We never had to come out of two wheel drive in our Polaris General 4. It’s pretty quick riding in a UTV but offers plenty of places to stop and let the dogs run and play. One section also has a fun little atv/utv play area with some trails and light climbing. We went out and back and could have made it in 2.5 hours without stopping if needed. Longer if your in a Jeep or other off road full size. We were lucky to go after a nice rain. No dust. Need to get permits and gate codes from ranger station. It’s quick and easy and the rangers were very friendly.
