Plan was to hike Wave Cave today, no parking! So......did another beautiful hike to Weaver’s Needle considering I was more than half way through the dirt road drive....First Day Of Spring!!! Lots of green :)

Nice mix of easier and challenging sections. Great views if you take the time to enjoy them. I got 7.35 miles the couple times I’ve run this trail.

I'm not an avid hiker... so it was a little too strenuous for my taste. I was hoping the view from the top would make it worth the effort, but maybe my expectations were set a little too high, because it was good, but not spectacular.

Great trail, 13 km and we finished in 2 hours and 45 minutes. We went clock wise so the steepest part of the trail is when you’re descending near the end.

This is definitely one of my top favorite hikes in this area! The views are really wonderful and the terrain switches up a lot to keep things interesting. I took my two dogs who are very used to hiking and they started to get a little tired towards the last mile coming back. We went on New Year's Day so by the time we were descending it was very crowded but I am not sure if it is because it was a holiday. Driving up, there is a long stretch of dirt that is a bit rocky so I would recommend going slow or taking a larger vehicle. By the time we were driving off, the parking lot was completely full and people were parking pretty far down the road. All in all it took us a bit less than 3 hours going at a leisurely pace with a 20 minute break for food at the halfway point.

One of the best hikes I have ever done.

This is my favorite hiking trail in the Phoenix area. Very do-able, just takes a while to complete. For me about three hours round trip. I’ve seen young children to elderly people at the top, observing the awesome view of Weavers Needle. Dog friendly, however, my ten month old Lab was a little tired the last mile. We came prepared with food, so with a bite to eat and a break, she was able to finish the hike on her own. Between the two of us I had three liters of water on me. Several shady spots on the path as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful hike. Definitely a good workout. I’d say it’s on the harder side of moderate because of all the rocks. Lots of people recommend looking back, definitely do so! Breathtaking views as you get higher and higher on the mountain.

Beautiful. The hike out to the first lookout is only 2.2 miles, but it’s easy to keep going and turn back depending on how long you want the hike to be. Clear path and no climbing. There were only a few stretches of steep hiking, but otherwise it was not too strenuous. I would say this is a fairly easy hike, even for beginner hikers!

Great easy hike for the weekend! Great views of the bridge.

First time to AZ hiking, entered off road. Should have used GPS, struggled a little finding trailhead we came in on, was all good though. Awesome trail!

As always I love this trail. Was trying to find the wave cave, but our map wouldn’t load to get it so we opted for this hike! My dog Clark did well, but I’d say make sure you pup is ready for a tough one before you go!

This is so far my favorite hike since I moved to AZ (granted I’ve only done a handful). I did it in the afternoon and it wasn’t as hot or as crowed as advertised, so overall a great experience. For the most part it was shaded.
The trail is very easy to follow and a smooth up to the saddle and smooth down again (the elevation “shape” that I like the most). The views are amazing almost all the way!

Many were saying to do this hike counter clockwise. The Ranger said to do it clockwise because of the stairs at Silver Falls. Glad we listened to the Ranger and went clockwise. Those stairs are steep, and glad we went up them instead of down. There was a sign warning of a strenuous 6 hour hike ahead at the beginning. I really didn't think it would be strenuous for me since I hike every weekend, but boy was I wrong. It was a little strenuous, especially the last 3-4 miles. My legs just ached at this point I really just had to push through. Beautiful hike and I would totally do it again. Took us about 6 hours, including a long hour break at the falls to eat and take pictures.

Unexpected beautiful landscape. The cows graze land; so be mindful since they’re not behind a fence.

Did this hike 3 days ago my walking app put it at 7.34 miles and took me 2:28. I really enjoyed especially that last couple miles. Trail gets a little narrow coming back down but nothing too bad just be careful it can be a long way down if you fall. Lots of cow land mines but didn’t bother me too much. Lots of cows too, walked right by many and they never gave me a second thought.

Definitely work but it was worth the effort. Some of the sections are rocky and strenuous but they are short. Fun trail.

Great trail, but, someone is not right about the miles. I used 3 different device's (at the same time) and got an average of 7.9 miles. GPS times 3. Steps useless. The map ???.
But a great hike no matter the distance....who's counting anyway??

I hiked this trail yesterday and I fell in love with it. The views, the little cave, etc. Magical!

Beautiful scenery! I think I needed to be in a little better shape. But would want to go for it again.

One of my best hikes. Go during a weekday so you’ll have the trail for yourself - I barely saw anyone during the 3.5 hours I was on the trail. Beautiful waterfalls along the trail. NO restrooms were seen so keep that in mind.

loved this hike

I was trampled by a cow. DANGEROUS TRAIL. While there are plenty of warning signs about mountain lions (which are scarce and usually afraid of humans) there are no signs indicating the large population of cows concentrated on the trail. The trail is "dogs on leash" friendly, however having your dog on the trail is EXTREMELY dangerous around cattle. Part of the trail is essentially a cow path through pasture that the cows were actively using and there were calves. I could not see a calf behind a rock and a cow charged me and my dog, but luckily only my legs injured. The trail is beautiful and I recommend using extreme caution and leaving your dog at home. The park should add more signage and warnings as well.

Challenging hike! Worth the effort. Views from the top are incredible!

This trail was challenging but very much worth it. Though it's marked as a 10 mile hike, my Apple watch indicated it's closer to 12. Allow yourself a good 5-6 hours to complete depending on your pace. When our group did the hike, we had to plow through it because we had a later start, plus it was raining and hailing pretty hard -- which made for a memorable experience. The views of the towering redwood trees are incredible and the waterfalls were running strong, you really feel like you're in another world. I would definitely come back and recommend for those looking for a good moderate-difficult hike!

certainly breathtaking, impressive one you reach the top but also the journey along the way.

Simply the most beautiful hike close to a major US metro in my opinion.

Gentle rise in elevation. Very peaceful
