Nice little, short trail that gave a great view of the bay. We were camping down at the campground and we decided to explore. There is some incline but not bad at all. Definitely enjoyed it!

Great views over south bay and downtown

Great hike for views of the los angeles area. Perfect to take family and friends to see the stunning views.

Not happy that the lake is on the opposite side of the trail which in turn gives a not so good view of the lake. Lots of traffic on two way street, with lots of cars going pretty fast... therefore I wouldn’t recommend any young impulsive children on this easy trail. Don’t want to discredit the location and beauty of being around the holly wood lake. This is just not what I was expecting. We went to franklin after which was amazing and perfect for my lil ones.

Very beautiful hiking for beginners, more walk than hike. Amazing view. You can see clearly Hollywood sign

this hike is not as tough as I thought but it was foggy so we didn't get a very good view

Did this hike with my 4 & 6 year old. It was a great little starter for myself and even better that I could bring my kids along.

It was a fun and easy hike. I did it with family and friends who are much older. My family even had sandals and no water too lol.

Steep incline, pretty tough hike but definitely worth it. View is amazing from the top and just be careful when coming back down!

Wonderful hike. Incredible weather. A beautiful walk through the trees to get up on top of the hill. It is ALL uphill but not so exhausting that you don't enjoy the journey. I certainly enjoyed it and will be back for sure

Short and sweet hike! Parked at the bottom right before where it tells you to go on Apple maps. There’s a small trail off of it, one little sign! Fun and easy

Great quick hike for a nice view of Bay Area and City all in one.

Just did this hike this weekend and was disappointed to find that it wasn’t a loop at all. Went up the steep rocky side to the Wisdom Tree and was planning to come down the longer side of the loop as we had our big dogs and didn’t want to do the steep climb down with them. We passed the “trail” for the other side of the loop twice not even noticing it as it wasn’t an actual trail and no one was walking on it at all. Sent my husband to check it out to see if we could get through and or if it got better along the way but it didn’t, it just disappeared. Couldn’t go that way so had to take the dogs back down the steep side. That cut the hike shorter and was much more difficult with the dogs. Likely wouldn’t have done it if we had known that. Anyone know if there was a reason why that side of the trail would not be there or not be used by anyone on a Sunday? Otherwise it was a beautiful view from the top and could be a great LA hike.

Go-to park for short hikes with great views of LA, especially at sunset. There are lots of wild flowers and good chance of spotting wildlife (rabbits, birds, etc.). The trails have some steep hills for anyone looking for a nice workout.

There is plenty of free parking, clean bathrooms, water fountain and shaded picnic tables.

You know your at the top when you see the “keep hammering” rock

Not dog friendly. No bikes. State park. So the area below (the field) can have dogs on leash. But no dogs allowed on the trail sadly :/

Good uphill training but very short and not a lot of coverage. The wisdom tree is pretty neat and there are a few nice places to sit and look out over LA but nothing to write home about.

Steep and rocky, good idea to bring poles to take strain off the knees. Go earlier than 8/9 am before the crowds and bring a light sweater, hat and sunscreen. Great views 360 of LA and backside view of the Hollywood sign.

Very short hike. Easy. Great ocean and bay views.

Absolutely beautiful view

Steep but not too long. Wear good shoes and a hat......

I come here everyday! I’m starting to challenge to myself to the top, I love it so much. Just afraid to encounter a rattle snake lol

Rode my bike in , wow the views are amazing. You quickly forget how close you are to the city. The road is easy to navigate. Very well maintained and clean. Great fishing opportunities throughput the entire trail. . The camp is great , water is everywhere, shade . Restrooms and trash service. Will definitely come back again and again. Super easy and fun hike or bike, all skill levels.

Easy and calm hike

We went out and back to the hollywood sign and stopped at the wisdom tree on the way. Strenuous at the beginning and at the end but well worth it!! Be aware you have to walk through a neighborhood to get to the trail head.
