Great trails on the east side of the Chattahoochee. Nice views of the river and the overlooks are spectacular. Well worth the $5 parking fee. Get there early on the weekend. It fills up fast.

I love this trail!! It is right off of 75 and the hike burns some calories going up to the summit. Nice summit but I would recommend going early especially if it is nice outside to avoid crowds.

This was a very cool spot to visit. There is 175 wooden steps to the top of the falls which are the biggest in the state of Georgia. There will be plenty of people enjoying the falls so if you want to be away from people this isn't the spot. You won't forget some of the views and sights and is a must if you're visiting the state of Georgia.

Nice state park. 5$ entry. Very Family friendly and easy to access, hence it's pretty popular. Don't let that stop you from going. Good views. Caught a ranger giving a talk about Owls at the lodge. 15$ buffet, to stuff yourself after hiking. Great view from lodge.

Have to go about three miles to see a sight worth looking at.

Loved it.

Tried to follow the Park map which was not detailed and confusing, so we got lost a couple times. Really pretty hike with a lot of views!

Great hike! As others say it’s more challenging than some other “moderate” hikes with a decent amount of incline and rocky paths. Most of the challenge is front loaded, assuming you choose to start straight up Pigeon Hill (clockwise on this map). Also worth noting the visitors center with restrooms is about 3.5 miles in. It is on the more crowded side, so if being alone on the trail is your thing, then this one isn’t for you.

Went to ATKO today. Took the stairs to the top of the falls, which I highly recommend. It’s tough but take your time and it’s not THAT bad. Well work the views. Visit the lodge while you’re up there. Took the East Ridge trail back to the visitors center. Great weather today!!

Fantastic! It has everything you could want on a hike- waterfalls, mountain views and streams. I enjoyed how the terrain and density of the trees was always changing. My favorite hike so far!

Such a great area, everything you would need for all ages. Because of this it is extremely busy, I recommend getting there as early as you can to avoid the crowds and kids. $5 parking with lots of available spots. Great for a quick workout or a full day of hiking and picnicking. My personal favorite, if you've already experienced the waterfall before, is taking the East Ridge Trail up the mountain and taking the stairs back down. Definitely broke a sweat and was ready for a break when I got to the top.

Such a beautiful waterfall and lots of trails!

Beautiful views and massive waterfall

Beautiful falls. Lots of stairs that can be wet. Close to parking which makes it nice but also means many people.

Great trail, I like to hike both sides for burning calories. The view at the top is nice. Highly used trail, you will not be alone put there.

Initially my thoughts were bothered by how busy the trail was for an early Saturday morning but once I got going I was pleased with the challenges presented on the trail. It is rated moderate but honestly there are quite a few portions of the trail that are rather difficult. There are so many craggy rocks and tree roots throughout that without proper footwear it’ll be too hard to navigate. Enjoyed it and will do it again.

Went on this hike this morning with one of my friends. I am out of shape right now, but I am working on getting better. We hiked both loops and while it was a workout, it was worth it. It was busy, especially coming from the west trailhead as many people just come to do the quick hike to summit for the view. Definitely go if you are in the area.

I run this trail every week. It's well marked and kept clean. Has a few low spots where it collects rain water, but overall very quiet and very nice.

It has spurs that offer varying difficulty but none of it is challenging.

really busy trail, but we'll worth it for the views at the top

Beautiful views and waterfall. It’s easier if you hike to the top and come down the stairs but it’s more difficult to enjoy the waterfall that way. Your backs to it most of the time. Well worth the trip!

This trail is very nice and the falls are breathtaking. I recommend starting at the bottom of the falls and ending at the top. Some of the views from the top are great. This trail is awesome and I recommend it for all ages and this trail is defiantly for beginners. Plan to stay for around one or two hours. This trail is great and I would definitely go back.

One of my favorite hikes I have done! Definitely would rate it hard

Took my daughter out for the day. This hike was a blast. It was challenging in some spots but that was due to the amount of rain we have had over the last week or so. All in all it was a great time and a great day.

Great view, but the East loop is better in my opinion. Very rocky/tons of roots, but not too strenuous.

Great for horses. Love the waterfall.

For being so close to the city, it still feels fairly remote. The view at Poppy’s point is great (plus a nice rest stop) on your way to the bamboo forest at the end/turnaround.
