One of my favorite hikes!

trails are not marked very well but, still a fun easy hike

Good hike for conditioning and to work on elevation gain. Went on a clear day so the view was decent at the top. Took the Trout Creek Trail out and back, did not bother with the road hiking. There are plenty of rhododendrons along the trail which I'm sure will look amazing when they bloom. Snow at the top is melting making it a little tricky in the decent.

Beautiful view of the falls but trails are closed I heard till April. Sad I didn’t get to do the hike!

Beautiful, short hike over packed snow. Family friendly and definitely worth it. Expect snow until mid March.

Its closed and fenced, but you can still see the waterfall

Awesome hike. Soft on your feet and beautiful trees. The view of the pool is incredible from above. Really cold water. Heavy trafficked trail

Both times I've gone, it's been too foggy to see anything. Great trail though, lots of snow right now!

This is a great area but I'm yet to find the second falls. The trails are poorly marked. I would recommend tracking your mileage or recording your trail to keep on track.

Great place to hike when it's not to crowded

great workout! We hiked up Rooster Rock trail & down Trout creek trail (took 2 cars as we hate road hiking). the view was amazing and so was the weather!

Parking lot is sketch, trail is beautiful. Baby friendly and not too busy.

Great trail, great workout!! Snow free.

The trails to Silver Falls and lower Golden Falls are short and easy. They provide nice views of the falls and an opportunity to get sprayed by Silver Falls. If you are able to handle a short stretch of moderate hiking, the short jaunt off the upper golden falls trail to get behind silver falls is well worth the climb. Don't miss the longer hike to the top of Golden Falls. It is a little more strenuous than the lower hikes, but the view at the top is well worth it. We took the whole family, aged 6 to 40, and everyone loved it. As others have stated, follow the road signs, not Google Maps, once you get to Kruse Rd. (10 miles out from the trailhead).

Solid winter hike, not too busy. Great swimming in the summer. Beautiful falls year round.

Wonderful hike! A little muddy but still enjoyable. However, I almost missed the pool! If you reach a sign that says “does not loop around” you’ve gone too far.

close to home

This was a great afternoon winter hike. One thing to keep in mind for winter hikes is that trees may have fallen and yet to be cleared. We had a few tree trunks to cross over that would change the difficulty to Moderate.

Another note is to make sure to make sure to wear shoes with traction. We saw people on the trail in rain shoes, aka slickers. This trail has several sections of ascending and descending areas that can be muddy and slippery.

I would also recommend going on to Green Peak Falls after seeing Alsea Falls. There is a $3.00 day use fee payable at the box. Take correct change. None provided.

I can’t wait for this trail to open again!

When we went, there were a lot of people there so it was impossible to get a photo without others in them. Very beautiful though

Tough hike due to the steep elevation gain, but you get a great workout and the view from the top is beautiful.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FoRWNf0J9I

Very lovely hike that features two easy/short trails to the base of each waterfall and a long hike that goes around the area. I did the two short trails and was rewarded with a beautiful view of each of the two waterfalls. The drive out to this area is long, but beautiful. I visited these waterfalls on a rainy day in June. The trails do get muddy and slippery. Wear shoes with good traction.

Very good training hike! All uphill.

I started out at RR trailhead, the hike up was pretty much all uphill. I only encountered snow towards the top portion of the hike, but the view from the top was well worth it!

Get up there early or you'll feel like your on the I-5 during rush hour... Otherwise it's a pretty decent view from the top which, after so many times I try not to take for granted.

Trail is in great condition and is snow-free all the way to the summit.

The trail was closed due for safety concerns so we weren’t able to go past the gift shop. Hopefully it opens again soon but it wasn’t worth the drive to see the falls through a chained gate at the bottom of the trail.

quick and easy trail that was extremely crowded when I went. parking was also difficult.

Main viewpoint is closed due to fire damage

Great trails for hiking. We took a few detours and ended up with a 7.5 mike trek. Only complaint, too many dogs off leash!
