We went up from Breck side using a quad ATV and it was an awesome trail. Pretty rocky in several places, but on an ATV it was very easy. I don’t see how these jeeps make it. Lol but we got up to the pass and it was beautiful! We couldn’t go down on the other side because it’s highway legal vehicles only. But we took a different way down and we were rewarded with being the only ones out there and breathtaking views. However, taking GH 258 down was very very very difficult near Road 6. Like, we had to get off the 4 wheeler and take one boulder at a time. But we made it and it was a blast.

Amazing views along with some nice mix of challenging trails. good mix of high speed and slow crawling. Still, snow up high but made it to 12,500 today.

Went for a ride with 7 other jeeps today. Awesome trail - nice length. Took up most of the day with the occasional stop to take in the sights. Gets very narrow/steep at some points so if you’re going with a group make sure you look ahead. A few tricky spots but my stock JL made it no problem.

Fun trail. Was a little tuff at the beginning but also challenging and not to hard. Had 33’s with a 4” lift in my 2001 Jeep wrangle. Took that trail like a champ.

Fun trail. Very green this time of year.
The ascent right at the beginning is fun but the crystal mountain trail was gated off.
The closure signs looked fairly new.

A great way to get to some Alpine views quickly and without incident, also great for avoiding the crowds on St. Mary's and Loch Lomond.

Gate open as of July 28th 2018 and almost totally dry up there.

Rocky and uneven, but there are bypasses at all the tricky spots and nothing too intense. - no steep drop-offs, etc.

Fun trail to go on with good views. Drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude Edition 4x4. The beginning of the trail is a little rough but evens out the further you go up. Definitely doable. Never made it to the peak due to a storm blowing in.

Amazing views and great stops for lunch!

The views are great. Lots of tree removal from fire damage and bark beetles, but the trail is clear and on a quiet Wednesday morning, it is peaceful and beautiful.

Beautiful! During the weekend, you’ll probably run into a large group of Jeep’s hitting radical hill.

Views were simply amazing! Makes for a great loop. Not congested. Very few truly technical spots.

We took the Rubicon here. What a beautiful place! I must admit there are some areas where lockers are needed so be prepared for that.

Great little pass. There is a creek crossing that can be deep, though I've always seen it in reasonable shape.

The switchback have had some maintenance since I last ran it and are much less intimidating. There is little room for passing, so if you know someone is coming, be kind and pull over at a switchback and let them through. Backing up on a shelf road isn't ideal for many people.

All that said... beautiful area. Once the snow melts on the Red cone exit that is also a fun ride down.

The whole trail is currently passable.

A nice trail with a 4x4. Not too difficult. Take the upper left to the top of Radical Hill. Usually a few goats up there. Then backtrack and take Saints John back to Montezuma or just go back via Deer Creek.

I started this trail from the Hwy 285 side at the beginning of March. I did not do this whole trail because unfortunately I got stuck and had to have help out. I have not been on this trail in the summer but with snow on the ground I would highly advise you consider what your vehicle is capable of and that you do not attempt it alone. With all that said I did about a 3 mile portion of the trail and loved it right up until I got stuck haha.

For reference I was in a stock Jeep JKU Rubicon Recon. Happy Wheeling!

Took a not quite stock JK Wrangler up it. Hardest part is right at the beginning - you need to pick a line up a steep rock outcropping. The Rubicons we accidentally convoyed with walked right up it with their lockers. Next time we'd air down. The rest of the trail is pretty easy but jouncy with rocks. The 2nd half of the trail was closed off, so we never made it to the end.

As beautiful as it gets! Xj on 33’s with 4.5 inch lift.
Fun all the way to the top, seen 3 mountian goats. Goats photo bombed us lmao! Will post the pics.

Had a great time going through it in a ram 1500 3 inch level kit and all terrain tires a bit challenging going down steep drops being wide also during sunset got dark quick but made it no problem took about 1:45 to complete trail.

Just came back from a road trip. I drove from south to north , 3 hours with few stops for breaks and photos. Amazing view! Pretty sure that driving from north to south could be more difficult, you will have two very steep hills. Didn't have any problems with my Bubba (Wrangler Sport, 2 doors, 35 tires, 2.5" lifted).

They aren't opening this up to vehicles until July 15th according to a little birdie. I hiked up it a couple weeks ago and still saw a few vehicles and a couple drifts. How did they get up there? Two weeks ago I went again on foot and most of the snow drifts are gone but it's been getting hit with rain.

Good trail great view. Overall moderate trail with one difficult rock climb

Red Cone pass is open but webster is not going south.

This was challenging in parts for our stock Rubicon. We busted through the sidewall of our rear drivers tire in a tight spot while passing a Jeep coming down. It was an experience changing the tire on the trail. Steep grades, and rocky trails. Once we got to the top, it was totally worth it! The views were stunning, and there were so many mountain goats at the top! This was a good trail on the way down. We took a few wrong turns, which made it a more technical drive. The scenery was very nice, and it snowed lightly on one of the peaks on July 4.

Just drove the main trail to the top in a stock 2005 honda pilot with no issues. It has electric locking diffs that I had to use just once. Lol was lots of fun. Plenty of wildlife. View from the top is as good as they get

Not too hard it’s moderate. You definitely need a full on 4x4 vehicle to get all the way up to the top of the mountain. Amazing scenery. Loved this place

Did this yesterday, super easy trail to find. I aired down for comfort and would possibly recommend it for a few sections but you could probably make it with out. Easy trail and lots of fun. Got to the top in about 90 min.

great views, fun climb. did the out and back on 153. Storm Mtn Dr to fork with a brown wood sign marked forest access 128 pointed right, then just follow the trail all the way to the top. The loop at the summit might be hairy in a stock height vehicle but there's plenty of room to turn around at the base of the loop.
