My 15 year old son & I tackled this recently from the track at the back of Halls Gap Caravan Park which I believe is the longest route. There are shorter options where you can walk from a carpark and each walk is different. We had perfect weather and really enjoyed this walk although there are plenty of stairs so some level of fitness is required. We spotted an echidna in the return trip too! Definitely recommend taking a snack & drinks to enjoy at the Pinnacle. Agree that more markers are needed close to the top as it can be tricky to work out which way to go.

Love it. Good cardio.

One of the best scenic trails in Victoria & the view from the summit is just breathtaking!

Moderate trail that starts easy and then goes through some fun boulder fields with some rock hopping. Great views from the summit.

great walk such beautiful scenery quite tough if your not fit water at bottom and top

AMAZING. took a long time however definitely worth it. Loved the rock scrambling getting to the top of Sugarloaf Peak

Great walk that I have walked many times...lots of scrambling and long rescue time if things go wrong.

Did this a few years ago. Some tough peaks and hard to find foot pads. Navigation must be perfect but there are crags along to way to assist in some areas.

amazing walk very scenic

Good track but lots of people

Great steep fitness walk/run, can get crowded, very popular! Seen even families with little kids going up :)

Really good track. Starts off easy but does get steep. In wet conditions good footwear is a must as you are walking on flat rocks for a long duration of this track. Overall, good track and the views make it all worthwhile.

Great place. Heavily used for fitness. Would say moderate difficulty. Can get sloppy during wetter months.

So beautiful & perfect distance for kids.

Lots of scrambling and climbing the rocks. I did southern and northern loop in 7 hours. The view was amazing but not so magnificent I would say. Few spots of missing emergency marks. I would have easily gotten lost without GPS.

Very nice hike! We saw 2 kangaroos and the view was amazing. It took us 2h but we really took our time. It’s a moderate hike with a flat to start and steps for half of it.

Enjoyable hike. Counter clockwise seems best option. Path is pretty easy to follow in most places, except in area around the Pinnacle where a few more markers would benefit. Would be best in spring with the wildflowers, or after rain to fill Venus Baths.

Did the Wells Cave track 2 days ago and I'm already planning to go back out!
Never before have I done a hike involving rock climbing and going through a cave! Incredible! Not easy, but so worth it.

Excellent walk. Lots of rock scramble

In summer.....watch for snakes! Crazy climb up Jawbone. Even crazier hiking across the top. Views are pretty good and sides of ridge are not too dangerous. However, definitely not for children. I wouldn’t attempt the full circuit in one go as is quite arduous unless you are fit or experienced. Have good shoes and plenty of water in summer as the heat seems to sit on the backside of the mountain.

Great easy hike to the Pinnacle. The “Grand Canyon” isn’t that spectacular, but why not. Trail markings isn’t great either, especially when compared to American trails.

The is one section of the hikes which will be difficult for the horizontally challenged. It’s a tight squeeze.

Also plenty of rock scrambles, but nothing too crazy.

loved the hike, pretty hard. Especially up sugarloaf peak, lots of climbing - challenging and a little scary!

Completed southern loop. Sugarloaf peak via Canyon wells. Gorgeous views up at the peak looking north over the razorback ridge line. Quiet a difficult grade (4) climbing up canyon wells. Not recommended for the average joe. Due to the rock face climb. If up for a challenge, definitely put it on the cards.
