Fun hike

so amazing

Amazing trail for those more active and fit. If you’re scared of heights, this will thrill you toward the end. It starts off really easy and then out of no where you’re climbing huge steps to the top that are steep.. also, get there early.. we arrived at 7:10 and when we came back down a little after 9am it gets extremely busy, people waiting around for others to leave and people parking all the way down to the main entrance on the Main Street. Definitely a good work out for arms, legs, and good cardio. Great hike and views! Well worth the body aches

Definitely a good workout in the last leg of the trail. Parking at the trailhead is a bit tricky on the weekend and the trail is narrow in a few spots but not so narrow it is difficult to let others pass by. Takes a little over an hour to get up to the cave with a few brief water stops. The views are stunning and the cave offers a cool reprieve after the hike up. This is a rigorous but quick hike for any morning or afternoon. Trailhead is about 40 minutes from downtown Gilbert.

we got on the trail around 7:00am, which was great because we had the waterfall and overlook to ourselves! saw a number of people on the way down.

Great trail with nice views and piece of history. Good, easy to follow trail most of the way. There are a few spots that get a tad slick or steep but overall trail is very manageable. Nice shaded break area at the turn around by the water fall. Will not disappoint, travel safe.

Great trail! Took a wrong turn in the beginning, but found our way back and finished it out. Trick is you have to go THROUGH the wire fence when you get to it, do not go left! If you go left you are basically going around the mountain :) It’s a gorgeous sight to see, but not the way to the cave. Once back on the trial it was very easy to navigate the way to the top. Gets a bit harder as you get closer to the cave, but its worth the beautiful site when you finish. Careful on the way down as it gets pretty slippery on the loose rocks. All in all it was a great day out enjoying nature even with the detour.

Really cool hike! Can get confusing to follow the trail but luckily somebody had put arrows in the sand which really helped point us in the right direction! At the trailhead there is a sign that says “wave cave trail” at a fence - go through the fence. The trail is flat at the beginning then very steep. Had to climb up over some boulders as well. The views are amazing and the cave is really awesome. We stayed longer than planned taking photos and enjoying the cave. It was a cloudy day with not many hikers passing through. Would be a cool place to sit and have lunch. It did get chilly in there though later in the day.

We planned for 3.5 hours because of some of the reviews but we kept a pretty quick pace and hiked it in 2.5 with a quick, maybe 20 minute, lunch break at the “waterfall”.

Toddler alert: be prepared to carry your toddler and pass them up and down rocks near the top of the trail but totally doable with two adults.

What a fabulous hike! The Superstition Mountains offer spectacular, rugged views with many unusual rock formations throughout this hike. We also appreciated that the steep rocky inclines seemed balanced by lengthy stretches of relatively flat walking. The falls’ themselves have very little water flow, but the wet, black cliff walls with trickling sounds that we could walk right up to were very great bonuses.. We were pretty leisurely in our approach—took lots of (warranted!) photos and a couple snack breaks. We were back at our vehicle in about 5 hours. The stunning views and varied terrain on this hike are not to be missed!

Pretty views all around! Easy to navigate- go right at a fork close to the top to get to the waterfall. I found it pretty easy but I hike a lot so moderate seems like a fair overall rating. We clocked 5.9 miles but did explore a little!

This was a beautiful hike. HOWEVER, before reaching the devils bridge there’s a very steep climb on rocks. VERY SCARY! I did it but I wouldn’t do it again.

This trail was so amazing. I’m new to hiking and towards the top got pretty difficult but I pushed through and the view was just stunning!

It is not moderate hike. Starts out moderate but as get down to river it is dangerous and can see where people have been airlifted out as one slip can be life threatening. Made it down almost to end by river was high and too dangerous to cross last part and decided not to jump over 5 foot crossed where a shoot was below as if slipped would have been one of the airlifted ones out. Not worth risk to get killed, wouldn't recommend for children. The look point trail doesn't have trail, tried to follow in alltrails app and was though cactus field and turned back and was sick of getting cuts from the cactus's.

Beautiful view ! Start early to beat the crowd and watch the sunrise .

Amazing views

Easy trail with a bit of climb at the end. Beautiful views. Take the trail and let the vehicles take the road.

Stunning trail! Expansive views with a waterfall!

Nice trail a bit busy but no issues. Nice views and a nice varied terrain. Good gripping shoes a must saw a few people slip while decending. Trail is clearly cut and easy to follow. Will return soon. Travel safe.

Loved it

Probably one of my favorite short hikes I’ve done. The views are beautiful the entire time and constantly changing. Personally would probably rank this hike as easy, though the last sprint to the top is a decently steep incline.

very easy hike worth it beautiful view

Very narrow trail the higher in elevation you climb, very popular trail. Do jot recommend bringing your dog due to the very close quarters on the trail, there are times were you have to step aside to let the hikers coming down by, very irritating when u have a pet especially when other dogs aren’t trained properly or are unfriendly, great view at top again crowded and have to wait to get a photo, recommend going during the week.

Crowded on the weekends but still a beautiful hike with some great views! Worth it to stop and take some pictures st some of the viewpoints. Plan to wait in a short line to get your picture on the bridge if it is crowded!

Hiked this for a second time and loved it! Definitely one of the more scenic hikes in the PHX area.

I would suggest not bringing dogs if you plan on going out on the natural bridge.
