Took part in the Parks 1st Day Hike today. About 50 of us hiked a 2 mile loop starting at the Creekside Classroom. We headed up the new Tallulah Trail to the red trail and followed it around for a while. Half the group went for hot cocoa and a warm wood stove at the 2 mile point, the other half walked another mile and a half around the Wetland Trail. Great day to be out.

Very difficult to follow trail markers and path was not well kept when I went in October.

A good walk made better after a downpour in the upper Mohawk Valley. The water pouring down the falls in impressive!

We hiked the yellow trail today. Very pretty views at the top. There are many pretty streams and creeks along the way and the forest setting is very peaceful.
So the beginning of the trail is moderate, however coming down the rocks make the hike hard not moderate. You could easily get hurt if you're not in tip top shape and without poles and proper attire. It is definitely not dog friendly.
So I would absolutely change the rating to moderate to hard. total hike for the yellow trail is 5.5 miles.

Nice trail with great views at the top. A little muddy and slippery after rainy days.

Great local hike when time is limited.

Very definitely not easy...we turned back when faced with sheer rock with no place to walk...I felt at danger and called the next day to complain no warning of how hard and impossible this trail is. sad I missed the top but better than dying falling . horrible experience....would not recommend t anyone without gear to help them even then I would say no. I have only climbed prospect and sleeping beauty and felt much safer on them. To me this was impossible and the state and some comments below saying this is easy are leading folks to something bad happening.

Great, relatively easy trail. Great views. Can be busier in the weekends.

Nice little bike ride. I had a tough time trying to stay on the actual path. Lots of little side areas and what-not and the paved trail didn't seem well-marked. Take a picture of one of the maps (like the one at the Creekside Env Ed Center) to help with navigation.

trail was good until the loop. then it was blow outs, poorly maintained and difficult to follow. we kept hearing gunshots, to the point we got uncomfortable and bailed on the rest of the loop. made our way back to the road.

Nice, easy hike with decent view at the top. About an hour and a half round trip. Bottom can be pretty muddy in the spring and after rain.

Very nice hike to amazing views! Good balance of moderately steep areas and long flat areas. Great for families also. Will do this one again!

Nice short hike up to the top of the Nose. The place was packed but there are several overlooks to afford some peace. The green trail was very muddy so boots were a good idea. Views as always were beautiful.

I loved this short and sweet hike. The rain made it a little muddy and slippery in spots, but nothing a pair of nice treaded hiking boots couldn't handle. My six year old beagle/basset accompanied me on this hike, she didn't have any trouble. I honestly think the cliff made her a little nervous. overall, easy and fun:).

Nice woodland preserve, but the trail markings can be erratic. It's easy to wander down a clear path that tapers off to raggedy scrub. The blue trail markers in particular seem to be clustered so close together that it has two or three blazes on one tree, and three more on the next tree 12 feet away, and then five more blazes on the next five trees. Then, nothing....
So download the map before you head out, or follow the blue dot as you go, to make sure you don't end up climbing several extra ravine slopes in search of the path.

Nice quick easy trail with spectacular views.

Super buggy.

poorly marked trails ..gunshots off in distance .. couldnt even find the loop.. was a nice day ..heard some birds and an owl ..which was nice to hear . otherwise ..ok

Love this hike. Be prepared for a few steep climbs, which are tricky when muddy. Access to the creek at the end of the trail was rewarding and refreshing. Good chance for the dog to splash around and cool off!

Quick stroll to a view of the falls juxtaposed with industrial sites. I got a glimpse of the end of a rainbow which was pretty cool.

Good family hike.

Easy hike with great views. Good for all fitness levels as well as for kids and animals. Nice picnicking on top.

Overall nice hike. The last stretch to the overlook (on the light blue trail) is the most challenging. Be prepared for a steeper rocky ascent. Our dog (30 lbs, athletic) had no problems. I don’t know that I would take elderly parents as the review suggest, unless they are in scrambling shape! Nice view. Plenty of room to sit down and take a breather. The rest of the hike is pretty easy. Look for the red trail marker for the Red Oak Ridge to start. $8 parking fee. Stop and cool your feet in the lake on your way out!

Love coming here to paddle, there are also several geocaches around the lake. You can paddle to the campsites as well. As previously noted, the trail is not really a loop without bushwacking through swamplands or going way out and around.

Great views and pretty easy hike. There is a slight incline going up though. A little buggy in the beginning while going up and a few muddy spots we had to watch out for. Took us about an hour total, but we also stopped a bunch of times to take pictures, so could be done quicker.
