3 friends and I hiked this one after a harder hike. Beautiful views leading up to it, but the pools themselves were alright. It was cooler at the top so we cooled off then headed back. Moderately challenging because of all the rocks on the trail, but worth it!

Beautiful views. Hike is a tough one, but doable. Need a LOT of water. I carried 3L and ran out.

The trail has been fixed to make it easier to get to the falls since last summer. No more climbing down an embankment on a rope. The water is flowing good as of today, March 20 2018. It was 65 degrees and I still drank down two gatorades and a water bottle going back up the trail from the falls. Be sure to bring plenty of fluids, especially when warm out. You might want to bring mosquito repellant if you climb to the top fall and stick around a bit. Only small portions of the trail provide shade from the sun.

We went after an overnight snow storm. The snow was melting and the water volume was up because of it. The falls between the middle and lower pools had three different falls, with quite a bit of water volume. The upper falls was simply amazing. When you tried to stand by the upper pool, you were getting drenched, it felt like it was creating its own wind, and you felt very chilled.

This trail had way to many people on it for me to give it more than 4 stars. It was a true traffic jam at times between the middle falls and the upper fallls.

This trail is very heavily trafficked trail that leads to the start of the lower narrows. It is a nice walk along the Virgin river but is built for the high traffic so you are walking on concrete or pavement most of the way up. We had great views of the waterfall on our hiking day because it has snowed the night before and the snow was melting.

I have done the hike twice. The most recent time being yesterday (3/18/18) and the first time was in August a few years ago. We just had recent rain so this hike was beautiful (5 stars), but if you happen to come during a drier month when there hasn't been much recent precipitation like I did in August this hike is more of a 3 star. It was about 6 miles RT and the hike will take most people 2-3 hours plus the amount of time you care to spend at the falls. A drawback would be needing to go online and purchase a $10 permit. There's a ranger at the trailhead checking for permits and you sign in. The hike is pretty easy for the first 4 miles, but the last 2 miles is a bit steep as you walk up from the falls back to the parking area, but as other reviewers have mentioned it should be rated as Moderate for sure.

Awesome hike...only able to go about .25 miles in the river because of some rain but it was just stunning.

I am trying to get a permit for 2 of us and I can’t get thru the phone lines. I have called continuously but no answer. Any suggestions on how else I can purchase a couple nights stay for 2 possibly 3 of us? Would they help me if I drive all the way there? Please email me if you have suggestions : chapis503@outlook.com

Easy hike , beautiful when we went, three waterfalls overhead so amazing

There was a nice waterfall as of mar 18, 2018. Make sure to leave plenty time to return back.

Beautiful hike!

I’d imagine this hike is a lot prettier in the summer with more vegetation. The trail up is pretty and you get to see the falls that come from the pools above (falls isn’t the right word its more line streams that run off the side of the rocks). I’m definitely glad I did it but on my next visit I plan on choosing new hikes to explore instead of this one.

Trail is easy to get to a flat. I would recommend going early in the morning. It was quiet and serine walking through the water and having the canyon walls shooting up around us. Despite going the first week of March after we had turned around to head back around 10:30 there were numerous louder groups coming through so we were glad we had gone earlier.

Beautiful! I can only assume it's classed as a hard hike because I've heard temperatures can get really high. We went on a drizzly overcast day and I would only rate as moderate at most. Bring swim stuff if you want to swim in the waterfall at the end! Don't do anything stupid, you'll have to get airlifted out. There's enough nature and scenery to keep you entertained the whole way through. don't forget to buy your permit! We had to sign in at the beginning of the trail.

AMAZING. Honestly no words.

Great Hike. Not suitable to bring pets or your children coz theres a lot of boulder climbing, steep trails and also we got lost a little bit coz theres no signs anywhere. Advisable to start in the morning when theres plenty of sunlight. It was raining today and it made a great waterfall. Just be careful coming up there coz it gets foggy during this time. Advisable to bring walking sticks too. Going back is harder than we thought it would be. Overall, amazing experience.

Great hike - not many views going up bc of solid rain However few more blue skies going down. Plenty of parking - trails in good condition even with the rain. One down side - super busy even in the rain

We brought our own waders to go in the river, and we had no issues with the cold water. However, our feet were a bit sore when we were done. Would have been nice to have the water hiking shoes like the ones they rent out. Beautiful views, and when we started as the sun was rising there was no one else on the trail yet.

Pretty good views and definitely a must do if you come to Zion...however, do not attempt after doing angels landing

Rent the gear!!!! It is well worth the money if you want to get past 2 steps in the river. The views are spectacular and so different than other hikes. Be prepared for extremely slippery rocks underneath you that you can’t see. Start early!!!! Beat the crowds. We went in march and took the first 7:00am shuttle.

A long trek well earned with a beautiful destination

Best hike I have been on if I'm going with a water destination in mind. It's beautiful, fun, and a great workout. Going down is a piece of cake, opposed to coming back up. I wouldn't recommend going when the weather is over 100 degrees, because the hike back up to the top can be very exasperating. If you make the hike in weather that's hotter then you would like for a hike, I can't tell you enough times to hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate some more. I've been to this particular location about 5 or 6 times. Early winter isn't tooo bad, but the water crossing is extremely cold around that time of year, but it's so worth it. In any weather it's worth it. I will continue to go again & again, at all times of the year. Great hike to hang out at for the day.

Great afternoon hike with breathtaking views. Be prepared to get your feet wet, as you will cross the streams 10+ times by the time you get down to the waterfall and back.

Such a beautiful place to go and see nature. The hike in was roughly 12 miles in (not the 10 everyone says). We checked in at the village and were on our way. There isn’t any signs along the way to let us know we were heading in the right direction so we used other hikers as our “guides” to know we were heading in the right direction. When we reached the first “fall” it was a disappointment (only because I thought that was where we were suppose to be and that was it). Keep going, pass the signs that say “Dangerous Unstable Ground” and pass the grave yard. When you are getting nervous you will never make it, just go a little further and you are there. This place is totally worth the sore muscles and exhaustion. We did put up our tent in close to the Natural Spring water (really made life easier to be so close to the fresh water). The hike out is daunting, tiring and makes you question every poor life choice but when you reach the top and are back in the comfort of your own vehicle, it makes you feel accomplished. Wear good supportive shoes, take ONLY what you need and hand sanitizer NEEDS to make it in your pack. Females, be prepared to “hover” in the bathrooms. Most importantly....enjoy the place....it’s absolutely beautiful and magical.

Was a nice hike. Takes you 30 minutes to get out there (downhill) and an hour to get back (uphill). Like the gatekeeper said, “It’s so easy a 10 year old could find it.” Although I HIGHLY don’t recommend taking your kids. After getting used to the nudists it was an enjoyable hang out spot. Everyone was friendly and we all had a blast. The springs were hot and it was nice to take a dip in the cold water down below. There was also a little swing that people were using to jump into the creek. All in all, make sure to be prepared because the hike is steep, brings lots of water, and a no judgement mentality. Just have fun! Happy hiking!~
