Not hard, moderate at best. No hard climbs, but a few of them add up. First one on the trail at 9:30 on a Sunday morning, lightly trafficked is accurate. I went after the leaves fell, so lots of crunching underfoot. I can see how it would be difficult after a solid rain, it was dry on my venture. No access to the lake unless you trailblaze a bit on your own. Different topography hiking along the ridge, but lots of time in the forest with not much to see. Lake is very pretty, but you’re never real close to it unless you go off trail.

Trail to the bottom of the falls is a little confusing. It becomes more difficult to get to the falls the further down you go. But the overlook path is short, clear, and absolutely beautiful!

Trail to the bottom of the falls was closed for repairs. Would have liked a little bit of a longer hike but the trail was really nice.

Great hike on the stream trail to the falls. Bring some water shoes and a towel as you cross stream twice each way.

Great waterfalls!

Wow. What’s not to love. The hike was beautiful and kid + dog friendly. To get to the bottom of the downstream trail there is a big section that is narrow with a steep drop and no guard rail so if your walking children are not familiar with trail safety I would consider that but otherwise it’s fantastic. Our kids (9 and 6) have hiked since they were babes on my back and still exercised extreme caution during the before mentioned part. But at the end and in the water (despite the frigid temps) they lived every minute of it. It was a perfect stop to picnic on a rock and then watch them explore. Highly recommend this trail!

Be prepared to get wet

hard but worth it. cross water 10 times

not that easy, but a great little hike in the middle of the city. dont miss it!

Maybe I should rate this poorly to keep it secret... bring your water shoes. Lots of stream crossings and a tough short hike at the halfway point for a great view

Great trail. Wife and I enjoyed very much. Only recommendation is the Rocky Trail, white colored tree markers need repainted badly. Got lost off trail a couple times but will definitely be back regardless.

awesome

Nice trail. Very private. My wife and I really enjoyed it. A gps helped us as 1 part of the trail looked like it split off but was a wash out. We found our way back by looking over gps. If it doesnt look like a trail, its not.

We took our 3 dogs through the “harder” hike and it was beautiful. However the Ridge Overlook we didn’t see an overlook at all. Gorgeous views and not rough at all! 2 overlooks we’re closed temporarily so I’ll definitely be going back to see the those at some point. Took us about an hour to go through the whole thing, but our dogs walked ya so faster than it would’ve been without him. Also very clean!

Eagle trail is a beautiful trail but not much to see as far as sights go. I would rate it as a moderate trail. Blue Hole is at the end of the Eagle Trail and is a trail of its own. I would rate this as a difficult trail with lots of stairs that stop about half way through the trail. The trail is not very clean and is very wet. However it has some of the prettiest waterfalls you will see in this area. You will definitely need shoes you can get wet in.

This was a beautiful hike. Lots of area for exploring. Definitely not an easy hike. I did it with my kids (10 and 7 years). They did well but there was some sitting and scooting on the little one’s part. Definitely wear good shoes that can get wet, because they will.

Great hike up and down to the falls. Super crowded. Way too many people for my taste, not to mention the abundance of empty water bottles, cigarette butts, and the occasional diaper thrown in for good measure. Just a matter of time before the state shuts it down.

you gotta do it!!!!

Great narrow trail! It's actually 2.0 miles with the first mile going down the ridge and the second mile going more up hill. It was definitely beautiful and worth it! Was pretty easy for our border collie.

Save some energy going the last stretch back to the parking lot...its all up hill for a good workout. Beautiful hike! Good idea to take a pair of dry shoes to change into because the ones you wear to hike in will get wet.

Enjoyed going after strong rain. Powerful falls. Would prefer a little longer hike.

I went after several inches of rain. The amount of water was amazing! There are areas where the railing is missing along the trail. Repairs still need to be made to areas that have been closed for a few years.

Was a Awesome hike! Not too hard and so much fun! You will have to get wet up to shorts.
Great overlooks, well marked trail and beautiful water fall.
I’d say just moderate not hard hike. 3-4 hours and I’d do it 100 times again.

Trail wasn’t too busy, until we got close to the waterfall. Once we reached the stream, it was much more crowded. But very much worth our time!

Very well maintained and easy to follow. If the rivers are low it really isn’t hard, and even if they are there are cables at every big crossing. Well worth the hike for the view of the cliffs and the waterfall.

The beginning of the trail is well marked and kept, but I decided to take the Merrit Ridge Trail to be near the lake; first part of trail was kept up, but after about a mile in the trail was overgrown.

Beautiful swimming hole. Perfect for a hot summer day.
