Beautiful trails

Trail a little hard to follow at times, needs a little maintenance, beautiful scenery. great campgrounds.

Nice trail, well laid out, done by the boy scouts. Nice nature walk with signage.

Beautiful scenery. I loved the children's storybook plaques along the trail describing the leaves during the changing seasons. I also like the leave no trace principles posted along the trail. Great place to take young children to teach them about nature.

Probably our favorite trail to hike with our dog in the Memphis area. Lots of elevation changes make this one more challenging than most in the Shelby county area

First hike on this trail and it was pretty great! Started out on the more challenging half (to the left). Good elevation change. There is a portion of the trail shortly after the halfway mark, where a bridge was washed out. Not a major deal, but did have to find a better spot to cross and jump across the stream

loved this trail,,, great to climb to the top of the fire tower, you can see for miles.

First time here. We loved it and will definitely come back!!!❤️

Good elevation gain and losses. Trail has had some work done and new benches are along two most strenuous sections. Trail can be 1, 3 or 4 miles depending on where you turn. Signs have been upgraded recently. Expect downed trees, out bridge and erosion. This trail gets heavy use on weekends.

First trail and I loved it! Will go back soon!

Very enjoyable trail. The portion along the creek was very pretty.

Some parts of the trail were well maintained, especially the Natchez Trail sections, others were not. At least one part along the trail meet up with a bathroom and water fountain which was nice. A good section followed a large Creek with a couple places you could take a break a cool off in.

Beautiful forest, well-marked trail. Very peaceful, and the hills were enough to get my blood pumping.

The trail was nice. I would not rate it as easy, however, because there were a few inclines that were difficult for my 7 year old. We did see a lot of small wildlife—frogs, butterflies, salamanders, spiders.

The trail loops around/through Chucalissa, which was great. We got to see the grounds and read the placards, but they were closed at the time and I’m pretty sure we were accidentally trespassing. So, if you take this trail, try to do so during business hours, otherwise it’s hard to get out.

Also, per another review, we did notice a faint odor in the air, but it wasn’t obtrusive.

yeah... nothing very scenic

its cool that the shed is at the end... and having the 1mile and 2 mile mark set up if you dont want to do the whole thing is nice... really marked trail

Beautiful trail, lots to explore!

I went after the area got some pretty good rain, so there was a lot of standing water. As a result, tons of buggies. Great trail though, plenty of ups and downs to keep things interesting. Mostly shaded the entire way through.

It rained recently, so some of the slopes were a bit muddy. Recommend trekking poles for post-rain hikes. The trail shown might be an old trail; the path I took is significantly different and lacks obvious trail blazes, but leads to the right areas. Strongly recommend bug spray at this time of year; the mosquitoes were out in force! All in all, good trail, had a lot of fun.

Great experience. Lots to see-wildflowers, creeks, varied terrain. Several spots to stop and take in all that surrounds you. At about the half way mark, the trail opens to a picnic area with clean restrooms and then back into the woods.

I walked this trail today with my 3 dogs and they had a blast. Very peaceful and wouldn’t expect it to be as full of nature as it is.

Good trail. Much of it is along small creeks. A portion of it is on the Old Natchez Trace.

Love love love this trail! Lots of ups and downs. Flowers in bloom! Had a few areas where it smelled bad but not enough to make me not want to return. Trail was well kept and very easy to follow. I felt like I received a pretty reasonable workout on this trail. Yes I will return!

Perfect trail for a family hike with a three year old. A bit challenging for him but not too tough and kept his interest, especially by the creek.

Had a great hike yesterday with the family. Did the full trail which ended up right at 4 miles. Trail has great markings and is well maintained.

Very nice trail especially along swan creek. Well marked and maintained.
