I love exploring slot canyons. What I like about this trail is that when hiking the loop you hike through several different slot canyons. Non of them look alike. Each has their own uniqueness. I enjoyed hiking counterclockwise. I got some great pictures.

My first time. Awesome trail, breathe taking views and easy ride. No 4wd needed. A few camp sites along the trail, perfect for a quick overnighter. Already planning to go back soon.

Beautiful way to see the sandstone buttes of Monument Valley. We started around 10 AM when it was still in the low 40s. Easy hike on a cool day, it probably would be considered moderate on a hot summer day as there is no shade at all. We saw very few people along the way.

Excellent hike with great features along the way and great end point. A bit of a climb in the beginning but not bad. Good for kids too

We took our eight kids on this hike and had a great time. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the rock formations. Highly recommended.

Amazing area!!

Started at the creek crossing in a Nissan Pathfinder 4 wd, but didn't need 4 wd. First half is rougher than the second half, which is pretty smooth and a fairly good clip can be maintained. Clear skies, and only saw one other vehicle (Subaru Wagon) on the back half. Roughest section is about a mile or two each direction from the Cathedral Valley Campground.

Drove this in early November. I came in from the north along BLM route 920/1 from I-70 and camped on BLM land just east of Temple of The Sun. Vehicle was Jeep Grand Cherokee with 33" BFG KO2 and 2" lift.

Most of the route is pretty easy and could be complete with a stock GC with good tires. There were some stretches of the road that turned into 8" deep gravel mud trenches from melting snow coming off the mountains. The northern half of the loop coming in from Caineville wash was the easiest part. I saw a couple stock Subaru Outbacks in that area that seemed fine. The southern part of the loop from the Fremont river to the campground switchbacks was sprinkled with more challenging stuff.

There are numerous hiking trails along the way that allow you to explore mover of the South Desert and Cathedral Valley. Enough to help break up the drive and allow you to stretch your legs. If you are looking for more of a challenging drive there are a bunch of old mining/BLM routes along the way to push the limits of your vehicle.

Very neat hike, beautiful views the whole time!

Had a blast. Took our Wire-haired Pointing Griffon and he loved it. Definitely a thrill and go prepared. There are some areas we had to walk through standing pools but hey.

Love this trail and a great payoff at the end!

Went the first week of November. There was some waist deep water we had to walk through. it was ultra cold. other than that we were able to avoid the other pools. The most entertaining canyon I've done in a while.

It is about 10 miles for the loop, not 8. I went up Little Wildhorse Canyon and then down Bell’s Canyon and loved it. Don’t skip Bells- some people say it’s not as pretty as Little Wildhorse, and if you are looking for a slot Canyon sire that’s true, but I think the variety in landscape and views you get with the entire loop is worth it!

We hiked this after a long car ride to the park looking to stretch our legs but not a long hike , this trail was perfect for that beautiful canyon and arch is very cool

Don’t listen to Celynda Tingey review a couple down! This place is awesome. She seems to be like entitled or something like from the movie mean girls. Go get your 66$ hotel with your cockroaches. This place is not garbage filled or dilapidated at all place is beautiful and well worth the 30$ per person to Camp and soak. I guess 66$ is a lot when you live off your parents money or work at McDonald’s.

Was a quick stop on a long road trip and was well worth it.

Amazing hike with breathtaking views and incredible drop offs. The arch itself is incredible and captivating. Loved watching people repel down the arch. Hope to do so myself someday

Nice moderate hike with beautiful landscapes of all types around every bend! Simply breathtaking

Great hike. Worth doing!

Our favorite hike during our day at Capitol Reef! The trailhead parking lot was full but most people seemed to be on the Grand Wash trail. Definitely take water, it was full sun most of way. Amazing views! We earned our pie from the Gifford House on this one!

Loved this hike. We went earlier in the morning and there weren’t too many people on the trail. This was one of my favorite hikes at Capitol Reef.

Not doable after Rain. But still the Canyon is great.

Pretty cool trail, quick and easy. The bridge is lovely. Worth it if you have an extra hour or two.

One of my favorite hikes I’ve done so far. It gets a bit confusing (trail marker wise) towards the viewpoint but cairns were helpful. Can be slick in any conditions due to steepness, rocks or moisture so grippy shoes are a good idea. Take water if you decide to the Grand Wash combo trail as we did.

This is really an amazing cave

This was a fairly easy 2-mile trail that ends at an amazing natural bridge. I would rate it 5 stars if there weren’t so many children running around and shouting.

11 miles for the loop NOT 8!!

Would do again, but only Little Wild Horse in and out. Glad I did the loop once though.

Decently interesting hike and then the arch at the end is incredible.

Went on a Sunday and saw maybe 2 other groups on the trail . It’s an incredibly easy hike - the end is sandy but still easy. If you get there before 8am no entrance fee! Amazing views!

wonderful hike
