Beautiful! Best hike in Texas so far! Actual elevation too! Sunset was great. One great lookout. Nice blue bonnets and a lot of another wild flower. Silkworms were very prevalent and hanging over trail.
Early mornings are the best here.
Beautiful!!! But WAY too crowded. Think I will try a weekday next time.
Beautiful morning. Not too much traffic this morning.
Great trail for dogs to come and for pictures!
Ground wasn't bad considering the rain we got a couple of days ago.
Lots of variety of trail, from open fire road, to single switch back, to wooden steps. Very well maintained. Some good overlooks too, highly recommend.
Beautiful morning. Not to crowded.
We only had a short time, so we hiked the 1-mile Bluebonnet Trail loop. Moderate difficulty. Uneven stones and wood chips with roots and steps. Loved the trees, shade, overlook viewing stand, peaceful nature.
Beautiful day! Warmer than it has been lately but overcast so it still felt good!
Very peaceful
Great trail. Nice challenge!
Went here with a friend last summer and really enjoyed it! It was tough since I haven’t been hiking in so long, but we saw a lot of wildflowers and took some nice pictures before reaching the lake. This hike has some great views!
Beautiful weather! The foot traffic was high today!
Awesome place! Some sections are fairly strenuous. Good workout.
Very muddy today. But nice otherwise.
It was tough and humbling...
Nice mix of elevation. Well marked. Rocks, roots, and smooth dirt mix. Did our and back to get 11 miles
good hike. lots of elevation. I prefer to do the trail in reverse... start off going to the left.
closed on Mondays!
Visited on a Sunday December 2020 was surprised at how many people were there. All parking areas were full. Despite all the cars and people we saw before hitting the trails, it didn’t feel all that crowded on the trails luckily. Several of the trails at the cedar ridge preserve will get your heart rate up. Not ideal for solitude on a Sunday, but was still a fantastic hike.
Great Trail completed it in about 2 1/2 hours 5.5 miles slippery rocks it places overall fantastic trail!
