Great hike.. crossing the slide area was definitely challenging but the rest of the hike was very doable

Definitely a technical hike. You have to leap across three streams and traverse a landslide. The landslide was terrifying, serious risk of falling. View is incredible, the little shack at the top is a great place for lunch.

I really enjoyed this short but sweet walk. I'll definitely return in the summer to enjoy some of the little private beaches.

Really great walking trail! Pretty short, but it's nice to sit and listen to the ocean. Often you'll see deals or sea lions!

Nice little walk not too much of a hike. Nice for beach walks !

Hiked this trail in September. The weather was perfect, and the trail was beginner level. Hiking in Olympic National Park is like hiking through a dreamland.

Well managed trail, fairly busy, but the waterfall is spectacular.

tried to go to this one yesterday, trail was closed. There was an advisory on the website about some roads being closed due to landslides, but this wasn't one of them.

Beautiful hike. Empty in November. Icy but worth it for the experienced hiker.

My goal was to see all 6 falls, and we did. Two of us ventured up one of the falls using the ropes that were there, pretty sturdy. Non slip foot wear is essential. November isn't ideal for this hike as the leaves were slippery. Best part is going behind the falls. Not a hike for inexperienced people IMO.

Simple out and back trail with lots of photo spots along the way. Got a little hilly at the end but even for two out of shape hikers we got along just fine. Make sure you go past the first waterfall because there's a much larger one at the end... we almost turned around but other hikers told us the big one was another 10 minutes away.

Went today, October 28 2017.... 100% worth the trip. The waterfall is phenomenal! Absolutely breathtaking! Short and easy hike, good for us since is was the last stop of the day. Recommend for everyone of all hiking abilities.

Lovely walk along the water. Clear lagoon on one side and the strait on the other. Saw several seals or sea lion swimming off shore.

Excellent trail, though it can get quite busy. Once at the falls, if you have some time you should also walk a little bit on Lovers' Lane trail for views from the opposite side of the river.

Hiked it back it September hard but the views of the mountains and lake was so worth it

Beautiful forest, one of my favorites in Olympic National Park! It's a very busy trail, but checking out the Sol Duc Falls is definitely worth it!

this trail was beautiful and the falls are spectacular

Amazing views.

Great day hike with a lot to see on the hike. Didn't realize you could actually drive up a ways before you actually made it to the trail head. And it looks like you are trespassing due to signs for the prison but you can drive through for the trail head it is allowed, at least we didn't have anyone stop us. Lol! Great hike with a lot to see and would do this again but definitely remember the bug spray!

Very enjoyable hike through various terrain types that goes up and down most of the way. Going towards Mount Angeles can get confusing. When you get to a sign that said "Trail" and points straight ahead (someone also annotated "Klahhane Ridge" on the sign), veer left coming from Hurricane Ridge. That will take you to Mount Angeles.

After that turn off, the trail can get hard to see in a few spots. But that isn't a negative. Just need to pay closer attention to turns.

Didn't record but the best view I've ever Sean

Didn't record but the best view I've ever Sean

It was quite fun most difficult part is getting by the last water fall once you go under it.

Very nice hike with an amazing view from the top.

Easy hike in the early morning with plenty of shade. Lots of exposed roots on the trail making it easy to trip and fall. Beautiful falls at the end of this trail that I was able to enjoy all by myself in quiet solitude.

Awesome solo day hike. A long one but worth it! Took 4.5 hours from the parking lot to Mamquam Lake. Very few people from Elfin to Mamquam on the way there but many more on the return trip. Hiked up to Opal Cone on the way back and the views were amazing. Lots of glaciers in the distance. Alpine flowers abundant and the bugs weren't bad at all. Also, swimming at Elfin was popular with many other hikers.
Total hiking distance 47km, time: 10 hours 45 min including stops for water, snacks, pics and chatting with other hikers. Cumulative elevation gain was just over 2200m. Definitely a good workout and calorie burner!

Tough hike but gorgeous! Worth the effort and time.

Nice hike, amazing waterfall.
