This was probably my favorite hike I've ever done! The forest was so whimsical. lots of foliage, mushrooms, waterfalls, and it's easy! don't forget to wear boots and bring an umbrella :)

Lots of debris and fallen logs/branches of varying sizes from the recent wind storms. Definitely a fair bit of scrambling over obstacles. Only a small but of snow at the top, didn’t need any snow specific gear. GPS says we did 8.5 miles and 3000’ of climb.

Hiked on 11/18/18 and didn't make it to the summit. There was a little too much ice on the trail for my comfort, even with spikes. Still a gorgeous hike though, especially along the ridge! There'll probably be snow up here come next weekend so come prepared with spikes at the very least. I did this trail earlier this summer and the snow probably won't clear until late June/early July.

Easy, pretty well maintained hiking trail. I went with my 60+ year old parents (who are relatively healthy but certainly not big adventurers) and they were okay. Overall an enjoyable experience

Incredibly simple trail down to a beautiful waterfall. A bit crowded due to the ease, but would still highly recommend because the waterfall it’s an atypical one.

Nice easy trail. Loved the waterfall. Seeing it up close lets your really feel the magnitude of it.

Very well maintained trail (kudos to park administration). Moderate and good for trail running. There was no snow on October 29th yet, so managed to make it in 10 hours

This hike was my first introduction to the Olympics - WOW! So much to see all the way to the falls. Easy to extend your hike by taking one of the three trails that start just past the falls, which are far less crowded.

I personally didn’t like this trail that much. You have good views all the way along and there’s no better view when going to the top. The last bit of the track is tiny and very slippery because of loose stones. We didn’t find the right track in the end and also didn’t had a view from the top.

Excellent hike, moderate to hard, especially around the washout area, view at the end worth it. Easy to get to trailhead and parking.

Really pretty views the whole way up! The last 0.75mi up was about a 1000ft elevation gain. Climbed around the rocks at the top past where the trail technically ended. Lots of loose gravel at this point but managed to get to the top which had great views. Clocked 6mi total in 3 hours.

Continue past the falls on the trail for little to no crowds and absolute serenity in the forest. That was my favorite part; this place is magical.

insanely beautiful with wild orange mushrooms to one serine log cabin off off to the side of the trail. easy peasy

Solid trail. Beginning trail head area and the summit are very cool.

This was a nice easy hike that was pretty beautiful the whole way. The waterfalls were gorgeous. We went on 09/09 at like 10am. It was sort of a rainy day which maybe helped as there weren’t too many people. We actually had some time completely alone by the lookouts over the falls which doesn’t sound typical. On the drive in we stopped at the first pullout that had a bathroom. Ended up being a little path to a small waterfall overlook that was nice as well you should check out if you are in the area.

Magical hike through the rainforest. I never tire of how the light flickers in and out and highlights the beauty of these special woods.

A short trip, nice in the evening.

My fiance and myself absolutely loved this hike. Lots of sweat and effort at the start, but once you get further up it has even parts to match the steeper climbs. The signs say 8 hours, but it took 5.5 hours walking and we spent an hour at the top. 2/3 of the hike are under the trees, while the last third offers fleeting glimpses of the view. Great way to spend the day, the views reach as far as Vancouver.

Did this one with my husband and 9y/o while visiting NY from Baltimore. Great little hike. We loved hiking through the stream. Trekking up the waterfalls was a great change from the hikes we usually do! We did not do the climb after we went behind the waterfall. It was very slippery and didn’t think it was safe for the kid to attempt it.

Beautiful hike I went beyond the top falls probably 6 more above the last is equally as tall I went 1/4 of the way up looks like you could reach the top climbing carefully takes about an hour

went all the way up. amazing

easy, beautiful, but crowded.

Its a slog to the back end but you will have to yourself. Amazing views in every direction. You have to reserve a site in advance. this is an amazing area glaciers, volcanoes and grizzly bears. its an over-nighter but some do in a day.

Did this hike last week in the rain. Was still a great hike even in the rain. It was a bit crowded compared to some other trails, but a must do. Beautiful plants and trees during the hike. Nice waterfall at the end. Very easy hike.

Really gorgeous, steep hike. There were 2 sections of switchbacks. The first set are not long, but extremely steep. The 2nd set are pretty long, but managable. There are many bees, but they are busy with more important things. We saw tons of wildflowers, lots of chipmunks, plenty of deer, at least 30 goats, and these animals that looked like giant groundhogs. Once you get to the summit, all the hard work really pays off. Fog had rolled in and made us feel like we were in the clouds! Will definitely be returning.

Nice easy stroll in the park with a relaxing feel. The lagoon is beautiful and this is a place worthy of repeat visits.

Probably would’ve given this 4 stars if it weren’t for the crowds. The trail is short and easy, so it’s hard to spread out from others, especially at the end. The trail is very pretty though, although we found the trail 7-8 miles before it off the road to be nicer just in terms of serenity as well the rainforest type scenery (the name escapes me).

This is such a beautiful area. We loved wandering through the rainforest with our three kids: 6,4,2

easy short hike to beautiful falls, the mosquitos/flys were bad (use bug repellent or where long sleeves.) this is a very well maintained, very trafficked trail. visited during a Monday afternoon at the end of July and the trail / parking lot were packed.
