Great water fall, little bit rough getting just because of the tree roots. Very beautiful!!

Definitely moderate coming out and easy going in. Rocky, take appropriate footwear. Gorgeous falls. Dangerous, please don’t swim here - do a little research before hiking this trail!

I took my girls on this hike! Unforgettable! I will do this hike again with some backpacking to go!

Have done this trail twice both times in early April, bring spikes due to the ice in the trail. Beautiful views of the smokies in multiple locations. One of my favorite trails.

Well defined trail, wet at times but not really muddy. Very heavy on traffic. A lot of people like to hang out at the falls, but it was still enjoyable on a Thursday afternoon during the shoulder season.

I went on this trail and it had the best views I’ve ever seen

Great trail beautiful views , very well maintained .

Beautiful! I am a beginning again hiker. It has been decades since I hiked. This was the longest trail I’ve done so far. I enjoyed the hike so much. It was tough but I survived. It had the water flowing parallel with the trail. It had some steep hills both ways and of course the hardest was the uphill after the waterfall visit. The waterfall was beautiful. There were a lot of families so it’s great family time. Bring band-aids because someone is sure to scrape something playing on the boulders.

Absolutely loves hiking this. Was a challenge but once we made it to the top, it was well worth it.
The view is absolutely breath taking.

The hike was great. Definitely come early to get parking since it’s limited. I would also rate it a moderate hike. Good hike for families to bring kids. The falls was beautiful. Saw two salamanders when I got it the falls.

The trail is rocky and well maintained. It took us about 3 hours to hike up but we were carrying larger packs because we camped out a few nights. There are plenty of places to refill water so no real need to cary more than you absolutely need. The parking lot is plenty large but still recommend getting there early as Alum Cave Trail is the busiest. We probably met 50-100 hikers climbing up as we came back down (the reason I rated it only 4 stars). Next trip to Leconte, we will take a less popular trail.

We were hiking this trail when it was little rain and that was awesome experience, overall this trail is amazing with beautiful views ,very recommended

Most trails appear to be of easy to moderate + difficulty. Intresting trails and scenic greenways. Plenty of activities for children. Pet friendly areas. Plenty of parking. Close to home.

I loved this hike and would do it again in a heartbeat.
The cardio workout was excellent. View was wonderful!

Difficult on the way up but the virws are beautiful. Much easier on the way down. Worth the climb!

A great little park on the south side of the city. Lots of fun walking along the river and good for all ages.

A bit more challenging going up than expected, but we were also trying to keep a fast pace. Slippery in spots when coming down- hiking boots recommended if it’s rained recently. Saw a mother bear and her two cubs in a tree which was awesome! Pretty trail and pretty falls

Easy walk through mostly dry river bed when we were there (Aug 28th) I really enjoyed the views of smooth side walls and searching for the pictographs. We found them in two completely different areas. Met a local and explored the opposite direction of the waterfalls after we were done there. Lots of rocks, boulders and cairns along the way until we saw a cave up high to our left. It looks like a big sand castle! Not a challenging hike but fun to explore.

Great views!

I can't give this anything better than "average" until they reopen the full trail. Pretty tough hike for anyone not in shape, straight up most of the way with a few views. End section to the Chimney Tops is closed (gated and spiked). Park Service built a little overlook pad but doesn't compare at all to the chimney tops. Park Service needs to make reopening this a priority!

Good hike, moderate hills, descents, and flat sections. Falls and pool below falls is great reward. Decent crowds but not annoyingly so.

Great trail and pretty falls. Just a warning...we were there yesterday and there was a fairly large and active yellow jacket nest in the ground right next to the trail. It’s maybe a half mile and those suckers were aggressive. I was stung a couple times and heard of others that were as well.

Quick and easy! It was empty when we went and we loved the view!

this trail is beautiful. it's the first trail I've ever hiked that starts by descending for roughly one mile. my view at the top was disappointing, it was so foggy that I couldn't see anything, but I also kind of knew the weather would block my view before I started it. the entire trail was gorgeous and I cant wait to go back to the mountains.

So many steps but a very nice view once you hit the top. Unfortunately the second half is still closed but you still get a great view of the mountains and the chimney top.

Very well marked. Beautiful views all the way up. It is a little difficult but you will not be disappointed.

Took my 2 and 5 year old by myself. Got there around noon. Was a perfect day. Seemed busy but didn't seem rushed when we were looking at stuff nor did we really wait on people in front of us. As soon as we exited the park, the kids fell asleep, so perfect length of time to keep them entertained. Bring food to entertain in the car.

Amazing hike! Easy if you are a prepared hiker. Next time we'll spend more time hanging out at the falls. Added challenge was carrying 35lbs of wiggly toddler and pack.

Paved trail short, but challenging. We were there on a clear day so views were great.
