This is a short hike with a great, refreshing reward at the end. Beautiful! We will hike this one again.

Nice hike with nice falls. We added busby falls to the loop just to play in the water more

Cravens House is a cool historic sight to see. Trail was great, awesome views! I went with some friends that rock climb- definitely good for that!

Nice trail with exposed tree roots and rocks - very interesting and beautiful. Scenic views of the lake. On the way back to the parking lot we came upon some deer. Recommend!

I have walked this trail dozens of times in the last few years as it is only minutes from my home. I enjoy the seclusion and landscape. It has been overgrown this summer and the trail does not appear to be maintained with the frequency it was two years ago. Any reference to trash is referring to items discarded on the property decades ago. While not a perfect spot, I would definitely recommend it to locals.

trail was good, well marked. I was hoping for more lake views along the way only saw the lake like 3 times.. it's mostly forest and it's pretty thick between you and the lake. for being closer to town is a great choice for the limited Nashville area

Not the right map/distance/elevation/etc. for the trail here. The map only takes you around the park/parking lot. The real trail is farther back. We walked some of it but had no idea how far it went or where it led so decided to turn around. Nothing is marked other than a picture of the trail at the park. Discouraging.

Lack of trail markings can make it a little confusing. The waterfalls are great and it’s a very easy little loop.

This is a great trail. We encountered singles, couples and families - many with dogs on this gorgeous hike. It’s shaded and well marked. Just a great hike (at a steady pace with a couple of brief photo stops it took a family of four with teen boys 1 hour 50 minutes.) Parking is somewhat limited. Only a portolet - no bathroom.

We came with our four kids, ages 2, 4, 6, and 8. We decided to go counterclockwise which I think was the right move. We already got the payoff of seeing the falls before we had to climb up the stairs, so we had no choice. :) We had the youngest boy in an Ergo, but the older girls all handled the trail—and the stairs—just fine. The trail was clearly-marked, but it did help to have downloaded the map from AllTrails just to be sure we were on the right path.

The falls were incredible, some of the best we’ve seen around. We really loved that the pools are wade-able, and you don’t have to decide you want to go swimming in the cold to get close. Combine that with a really wide, really beautiful cascading waterfall, this one is near the top of our list.

Very nice trail with beautiful view of Chattanooga from the top! Strongly recommend

Nice little camp ground/ hiking and picnicking area.

loved going off trail

Nicely kept trail. Hiked it with a full pack. Good hike.

We parked at Baker Bluff, checked out the overlook and got on the trail to Jackson Falls. It was a good little hike (15 - 20 minutes maybe), but the waterfall was more of a trickle than a beautiful cascade. It’s probably really awesome in the Spring and anytime when there’s been a day or two of rain.

It wasn’t too crowded when we were there. There were some families with young kids and dogs and they all seemed to be having a great time splashing around.

Pretty easy hike. We took our 3 boys: 5, 6 years and a 5 month old in a baby carrier. The down slope wasn’t bad as long as you take it slow. We will definitely be back!

Hike in was easy until you start dropping down to the falls, it had rained day before so it was a little slick in spots, had to watch where you were stepping for sure. The rain had made the falls run really full, it was beautiful! Hike out was super easy!

It was a hot and sunny day but the trail felt nice because of the canopy of trees. You have a nice view of the water a couple times. It was pretty muddy after a light rain but still doable in my Tevas. Feels pretty remote and peaceful with lots of bird, insect, and amphibian noises along the way, however for about 10 minutes when I was close to the water all I could hear was people partying on the water. Nice little 2 hour hike on my own at a semi slow pace. I actually lost my way at one point and learned that I needed to be paying attention to the orange trail markers on the trees. As long as you keep an eye on them it’s very hard to lose your way.

Lots to see in just a short walk.

Hiked the trail with my two boys ages 11 and 8. It was steep at points with a lot of uphill climbs but we were able to do it just fine. Beautiful trail!

I tried to do this trail today, but it is not currently in a well maintained state. After the fifth downed tree in under a mile, I decided it wasn’t worth it to try to bushwack my way through (especially since I didn’t have a good tool for that). Seemed like it could have been a good hike along the lake though.

Loved this loop and this whole state park today!! I went with my two dogs and we had a blast exploring the park, the river, and all of the waterfalls. The loop gives options for how hard you want the hike to be. You can scoot your way up and down the hillside to get in the water, or you can walk around on more of the flat terrain. Absolutely want to go again!

very nice trails with many side trails along the water. beautiful water falls. the backbone ridge trail was more challenging terrain and provided some interesting views.

Overgrown trail. From the pictures here I thought there was going to be an overlook... I only saw the cave (didnt bring a flashlight). so if you like caves and bring a flash light, this is for you.

Pleasant hike! lots of nice places to stop and enjoy the water.

This trail is perfect during the spring for wildflower spotting. It is short, but it does have an incline.

Absolutely gorgeous waterfall, the hike wasn’t bad other than a bit slippery after the rain we’ve had. Looking forward to going back during the Fall & winter.

Great trail! Views of the lake a majority of the time. Slight elevation changes make this a perfect trail for beginners. Had two dogs that absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

it was an overcast day just after a rain storm. the trail was not crowded and very easy for the family. the waterfall was specracular.

I'm giving a 3 star rating because when I hiked this trail there was a copperhead in the middle of the path. I had made it about halfway and there are steep dropoffs and narrow turns. I did not complete the course because of the snake. Be careful on this trail.
