For trail runners- I couldn’t find much info on how long it might take to run the trail. I did it in 2hr, 1:50 running time plus 10 mins for stops at lookouts etc at a moderate pace. The hill back is brutal! Amazing views and coastline.

HikingGreat!

Easily one of the best day hikes in Tassie. Fun, varied sections, starting in the trees, moving on to an open track, followed by a fairly easy climb including a rope and some scrambling near the summit. Can be done in less than four hours, in and out, with moderate fitness.

The trail is absolutely stunning. Magical views all the way. Some tricky spots going up and coming down. Gloves would have been a brilliant addition to help as I found myself supporting myself a lot with my hands amd the rocks are rough. So so worth every effort.

would be real sketchy and slippery in the wet. About an hour each way.

Very achievable track, completed with night at Scott Kilvert memorial hut. Well marked trail, though would probably rank as moderate as opposed to difficult.

Stunning views the whole way! Competed this in 3.5hrs, with a half an hour at the summit. Would consider a moderate walk, a pleasant challenge with a day pack and well and truly worth the climb!

This is a highly curated trail, and ideal for those who wish to walk a smooth and hazard-free path. There a small number of steps, but on the whole is a very unchallenging walk. Great views at multiple points, with varying forest for a change in scenery. Took 3hrs30 out and back at a moderate pace. Would rate as an easy walk.

A wonderful hike with incredible views. The trail was excellent and well maintained. We averaged roughly 600M different, opposed to the one shown above. It's a tough one coming back but still fairly easy.

Spectacular scenery and views. One of the hardest treks I have ever done - straight up and then straight down, nothing (like a piece of flat) in between! I would rate this as a hard walk, not moderate. Well worth the effort though. Take extra care on return when in last stage (under the canopy) - roots were extremely slippery, like treading on ice - we were both taking care and fell flat on our backs 3 times each.

HikingFeeGreat!Muddy

We went mid-Feb and had six days of sunshine (almost unheard of!). The track is absolutely incredible - with a variety of different views every day making the walk so worthwhile. As most of the track is scrambling over tree roots, rocks or through mud - be sure to take the time to stop, look up and enjoy the view. Highly recommended!

HikingGreat!

Incredible! Best hike I’ve done in Australia so far. Started at the beginning of the overland track and followed the trail up to Marions lookout and on to Cradle Mountain. The rock scramble to the top was challenging at parts, especially on the way back down but it was a great adventure. Epic views throughout the day. Followed the trail back down to dove lake car park via the face track.
