I loooove this place, it's one that's across the street from me and one of my favorites. This is the one spot I take my friends and family here that visit.

Nice trail and beautiful views.

Definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve been! Definitely worth it, take the time to explore the area really well. You won’t regret it.

Absolutely stunning in the spring.

Easy trail. We saw sea lions laying in the sun. The museum was closed so we will definitely be back to check it out.

this was a great Trail to hike there was only one spot that was not mark that I had to guess and I guessed right I have now hiked every Trail in the Cathedral Hills trail system.

Great easy hike! It was very wet but well maintained with bridges to get over the wetter spots. Amazing view at the end. We walked north a bit along the ridge and found a trail out to one of the rocky points, which was beautiful. Great view up and down the shoreline.

If you’re willing to climb through the crevasse to get to the top the view is amazing

the views were pretty but driving up the hill to get to the hike almost wasn’t worth it- extremely steep street. all uphill which provides a nice little challenge but the view wasn’t spectacular. good hike but probably wouldn’t do it again.

As of 11/25/18, most of trail has snow with some patches of dirt. Fine most of the way until the trail starts climbing up the rock- it gets very icy. We ended up bailing partway up the scramble due to slippery black ice on many of the rocks and a fear of going back down; however, a group behind us kept going up so just depends on your own comfort level. Would be an easy/fun scramble without ice, we’ll definitely be back!

Quick short trail with great views! I was worried about the drive up, but my small car (Toyota Corolla) did fine on the 45 minutes of gravel/dirt road. I would recommend this trail!

steep trek after the warning sign, but the views are well worth it.

all uphill, decent view on top of the boulders

Pretty great hike. First 3/4 was quite basic. The last leg and the rock climb was a bit harder than anticipated. The last leg was the steepest, as you can see from the topographical map. The climb was a bit sketchy. Two puzzles (first was easy, second was a pain), then steep stairs with a lot of loose gravel, so be slow and steady.

Fantastic hike! Great workout, beautiful views and the view at the top is worth the effort. I was hesitant to climb up the rocks at the end and make my way around the ridge, but with some encouragement from other hikers I decided to go for it and I’m so glad I did.

Great hike with worthwile views from the top! Seriously amazing. Not super hard but it’ll def increase your heart rate. GPS measures it closer to 11 miles. Well-maintained and easy to follow. When the trail forks in 3 different directions, go left!

Great workout and we had great weather. No wildlife spotted and views are limited to the open spaces. At the top, fabulous! The first third is strenuous due to gradient but the surface is great. Well marked path with options towards the top.
Lunch at the top is great.
We traveled to the trail head by RV- not recommended! The last 7 miles is gravely and narrow in places with logging trucks and a few hunters. Still a great day out.

Good hike for our puppies first trek, but many trail markers were missing or down making it difficult to map. Easy, clean trails would be good for kids

absolutely stunning hike! so conveniently close to Ashland. the scramble is a little nerve wracking but 110% worth it for the view at the top! This is my new favorite hike!

The first 11 or so miles is REALLY up and down. If I were to do this hike again, I would start halfway and just do the last 20 miles for scenery. I wouldn’t do the first 20 miles again. The trail is most often a long distance from the river and only seldom affords a view of the river you came to enjoy. I would recommend this if you’re in good shape and don’t mind the constant undulations of up and down on the trail.

Amazing views at every mile!

simply fantastic!

One of my favorites. The views are amazing. You have wonderful views from Ashland and Medford. You can see the stunning Mt. Shasta and Pilot Rock, so amazing! It is hard, but totally worth it!! Don’t go after 4:00, because you will encounter totally darkness in the way back :). It takes like 4.30 hours to complete it both ways. Don’t forget to sign the book!

Keep an eye out for the second marker post, it’s easy to miss and you end up going a little downhill to an overlook. There are some ridges to climb out on beside Secret Beach and plenty of places to explore and get different vantage points. This area reminds me a lot of Big Sur but with more trails to explore from.

It would be a mistake to believe that this trail flattens out after the first 3 miles...it definitely does not do that. It's a tough 5 miles up. We had a smokey view but it was a really satisfying hike that got the legs burning all the way up! So disappointed in people when you see the amount of trash along this trail, definitely not the Oregon spirit to be so disrespectful toward our natural resources.
