Great trail and a good workout for a little loop.

If you like waterfalls you will love the gorge walk. This is dog friendly

Great trail with a lot of informational plaques throughout. One of my local favorites!

Great trail, wonderful sites to camp, crisp clean water - amazing in 100 degree heat!

beautiful hike, lovely preserve, plenty of wildlife and gorgeous views

Excellent hike, climbing the falls and following the stream was great and a great workout, but it was well worth the sight!

A quick hike in and out. Well marked/worn trail. A nice quiet walk in the woods.

This trail should not be rated at easy due to the several staircases that will give you a good cardio workout. If you desire an extra layer of difficulty, start at the West Rim Trial, then down the Gorge and finish with the East Rim. One drawback is the park is charging you to get in but the Gorge Trail was not open when we went there on 5/20/18. Welcome to NYS!!

quick hike, remote and quiet. narrow trail with small inclines. Falls are small but serene

Definitely would not call this a “easy hike for all skill levels” but I enjoyed myself

Nice trail even when muddy and overgrown. Nice quiet views and decent climbs. Saw no one out there! I’d bring my hiking poles next time. Giddy up.

Visited in the early spring. trails were quite wet and muddy, but it was spring. trails were well marked but needed some upkeep. the Red trail (aka Mark Twain) was fun and the view off the cliffs was amazing.

A easy trail that is will marked path with informational signs. The Boy Scouts did a nice job in making the signs and providing education about the trees along the way. The Almond Lake water was fairly high this day thus making portions of the trail under water. We went back a week later and the water receded about 30 feet.

Beautiful — easy and quick for a brief getaway

Peaceful trails, gorgeous waterfalls. Absolutely stunning in autumn.

Beautiful little preserve. Longest trail (Mark Twain) I did in less than 2 hours but it still provided a spectacular view! If you are looking for a short hike or just to get some exercise; this is the place!

Definitely worth the stop, but it's not a trip all in itself. Fun little trail.

Nice trail, great views, easy climbing and well marked.

Great Place to bring the dogs (they love the water) Waterfalls were beautiful! Great place for photos!

Great day hike but way too many atv's around, not on the hiking trail, but everywhere else making it a not so quite hike. At mile 13 or so is where we found that freaky stump man in the woods by the road. He's a must see if you come back by Lyman Run road. I'd call this an easy to moderate hike only because of the length the terrain was not difficult at all. The trail is well marked.

Beautiful waterfalls

This was my start on my 65 mile journey to the branch off to the South Bristol Trail in 4 days. Plans were to make it to Ontario County Park, but pace was too slow. The first day in this trail was amazing an site seeing probably cost me 30-40 minutes that I DO NOT regret taking to time to stop and see them. PLEASE if you can make this trip and volunteer to maintain the FLT!!!

beautiful views with some challenging spots

A perfect way to access Watkins Glen while beating some of the traffic and difficult parking within the state park. This trail hugs the ridge of the gorge, providing some great views that you can enjoy in seclusion as very few venture out towards the Fingerlakes Trail from the main area.

Wonderful trail, especially the Mark Twain trail...it is 3 mile loop with elevation over 1000 ft.

I will start by saying that we had a lot of fun and since you are basically hiking up and down a series of small waterfalls, it was beautiful.

Be prepared to get wet. Possibly soaked. It was more like exploring than an actual trail. There are a lot of places where you have to cross the water.

A real downside to this trail is the required $5 fee for all adults. This seems high to me for something that requires no maintainance by them.

Not much of a trail, but if you want to jump around on rocks and in puddles it is great.

Parts of trail were wiped out due to rock slides, needs works near the end of trail.

Very short. Great falls except you can't safely walk to the largest that is under the bridge . Worth a look if doing others in the area .

The trail just ends . Stream was beautiful. Very grown in . Well marked

Great hike, well marked but a very small trail. It was slightly difficult due to the incline. Well worth the trip to a beautiful waterfall. It looked as if nobody had hiked the trail in quite a while cause it was fairly overgrown, I needed a stick to guide back the shrubs. It made me worry about ticks off the brush. It had rained a lot so the brush got me pretty wet. I had cell reception the entire hike so that was good.
