Great trail, waterfalls and amazing views!

did this hike last weekend. never found the falls but still a very fun hike.

Great and rewarding hike. The trail was much better once you turn left off into the wooded area around 1.5 miles I believe. Beautiful meadows with butterflies cross crossing the trail all along the way. Excellent work out and views at the top. Very shaded in the morning especially in the forested area.

It is a great trail

I live in the last house before the trail and let me tell you, we love that hikers use it! Some neighbors down the street are real strict about parking and we have been fighting to prevent a gate at the bottom of the street. there are lots of wasps on the trail (especially by the 2 water spots near the beginning of the hike) and occasionally a snake in the bushes. i take my small dog up there nearly every day and would say the bees are the only pests. It has some steep parts near the top with loose rock so be careful and go straight then right to see the waterfall when you reach the rock slide. Please pick up after your dogs and throw it in the bucket at the bottom of the trail and don't be shy, say hi if we're outside!

Great hike. Once you get into the woods its much prettier and has an exciting cliff side view at the end. If you go at the right time the wildflower meadows might be blooming and that's a nice bonus.

Absolutely beautiful!

Great workout on the way up to lake. Shaded mostly with steady incline.

I stopped doing keto and began using carbs again and the hike was way easier for me (I had a hard time on the horse flat which was rated as easy).
More for hiking rather than sightseeing/hiking.
Should actually take the "views" tag out of the details.
Mostly incline and very rocky.
If you roll your ankles a lot you should buy good hiking shoes/boots or watch where you step.
Going up took an hour and a half and around 45 minutes to get back down.

!!GETTING TO THE TRAILHEAD!!
you'll have to park on the east side of Wasatch Blvd. Then walk up canyon cove road, take your first left, then your first right up wind canyon rd, I believe. THEN you get to the teailhead. enjoy!

I love, love, love this trail! The flowers are fading, but the beautiful forest setting is reason enough to take this hike. I love making a loop out of this trail by hiking to Dog Lake via Big Water, but coming down via Little Water. The flowers in Little Water were still very much in bloom when I last hiked it on July 29.

Great burner trail run when you’re short on time. Be on the lookout for rattlesnakes tho, one at the top today right before the waterfall.

It was a pretty boring trail until you hit the creek which was a lot more fun. Pretty view of bridal veil but nothing you can’t see from the highway. No one else on the trail which was nice. The stone couch was a nice place for a picnic.

Gorgeous views. A wonderful knife edge scramble that was amazing.

Just did this this morning! It was amazing! It was definitely difficult for me but SO WORTH THE EFFORT AND THE END VIEW!

Love this hike! Always rewarding at the top!

Great trail that will give you a nice workout. The wild flowers are out now and give a nice added touch of color to the mountain trail. Dog Lake is more of a big pond and not as picturesque as other mountain lakes I've hiked to and it's rightly named: lots of playful pups enjoying the hike. Hop the trail on even days if you'd prefer a hike without dodging dogs and their droppings.

Pretty steep on the way up! Luckily didn’t see any rattle snakes. Loose rocks at the top so be careful where you step. I almost slipped and fell pretty far. But the views were well worth it! Got done in about and hour and fifteen

I had a few issues with this trail. It was decently marked, but not too well. I definitely made some wrong turns and luckily realized before I'd gotten too far. Plus, that waterfall was hardly a trickle and I ate lunch next to it thinking there's no way it's that small. It was. The other views were absolutely stunning and the trek was actually easier than I expected, since we passed several "more difficult" signs. I'll probably come up here again, but not for this trail.

This is a great trail with a doable elevation gain. The destination was nothing amazing. The hike was 12 mi round trip (6 up and 6 down), not the 9.8 mi this app tells you. Bring plenty of water, 2+ liters. The descent was not good on my feet even though I had good hiking shoes. Got bloodied toenails. But overall, I would say it was a good hike!

Pretty hike, fairly easy, rewarding views. This can be completed in two hours or less at a good pace. Easy to run down for those so inclined. Overall fun hike with a group.

Great hike! We tracked 5.7 miles total round trip. Steep hike for sure, but well worth the effort. The meadow is spectacular view looking up at the Twins. Could have spent some more time just enjoying the landscape. Trail is in shade for about 50% o the climb, and then it's partial shade for the rest of the trail. Best to get an early start as it gets considerably hotter upon return to the parking lot. We were fortunate to have had a light rain most of the way up.

Loved this hike. Partially shaded on the way to the meadow with a fairly steady but feasible climb. After the meadow, I continued on almost to the peaks. It gets very steep, loose, and difficult to keep your footing right before the summit. One of the most difficult hikes I have done, but you could turn back at the meadow for a more moderate hike (I think the 4.2 mi round trip distance is if you turn back at the meadow). Includes gorgeous views of the meadow, wildflowers, peaks.

Love how many different views are on this hike. It is definitely worth it to put on your list of hikes to do.

Our favorite hike! It starts on a dirt road with a pretty intense uphill walk but opens up onto a creek running down the mountain. You can go as far as you want up the mountain following along the creek. It goes quite a ways! Nicely shaded in the afternoon.

Great trail with some nice views! The best thing about this trail is the close proximity to Provo. The rock formations are always intriguing. Enjoy the climb!

Great trail! The first .5 mile or so is the steepest, rocky and sun exposed if you're not early enough. We started about 8:45 and it was cool and shady, but sunny when we got back down. Once the trail heads back a bit into the woods it's cool and shady the whole rest of the way. Beautiful views the whole way up. One small area had us walking in the water, but very shallow and manageable. We went as far as a rocky overlook area, a little trail diverts off to it on the right, you can see the rock face from the trail. At this point you are pretty much at the top, the trail continues on but I'm not sure how much further. We called it good here, spectacular views in all directions! I would definitely do this one again.

Nice gradual incline. One of my favorite Millcreek hikes. Especially great if you have a pup!

Good workout w/ rewarding view @ the end.

one of the best
