Nice simple hike. Bring shoes you can get wet if you want to reach the falls

Easy and quick family friendly hike. Definitely recommend this one.

Great bike ride!

Great hike. The first 3/4 is realistically moderate the last 1/4 is hard, but completely worth the view. The trail has a couple routes you can take as well. Great way to see the town of anchorage. Wind can get crazy but it’s fun. Well traveled so you won’t be alone

Great trail, pretty easy but amazing views.. lots of water and big waterfall!! Glad I got to explore Alaska trails!!

Nice easy start then quite the “goat climb” to the top beautiful views all around saw a Dall Sheep that crossed the trail ahead of me. 6 Bald Eagles circling over head and a huge bull Moose off in the distance

Amazing views from the top and is challenging getting back down over the rocks. Fantastic hike!

Very well preserved trail with stunning scenery! The trailhead campgrounds are also incredible. A must for any travelers.

It was pretty but a short hike.

Great trail. Tough

Nice waterfall. The upper viewing platform has the best view of the falls. The lower trail gets you closer and is much cooler near he river.

July 29. Great hike with amazing views. Give yourself plenty of time and bring plenty of water. If you plan to make it all the way to the end, be prepared for a narrow trail on the ridge next to a steep scree slope that requires a bit of scrambling. The descent is quite rough on the knees. Overall great hike. Enjoy!

It was definitely more difficult than I anticipated toward the end. Wanted more switchbacks. But we made it! pack in more water than you think. We ran out.

Nice easy hike with fall and Gorge views. We stoped by Mirror lake adjacent to hike as well.

Great hike!

Short hike, pretty bridges to the falls. Great place to get out for a quick breath of fresh hair.

Quick steep hike very busy as well. The scramble to the top is fun and some great views from the top!

This is an intense hike, I’ve done this trail 5 times now and it never gets easier. A majority of the trail is hiking straight up until you finally get out of the tree line and head straight across the several false peaks to the summit. It’s a several hour hike and definitely bring water and snacks. The view is totally worth it though! You can over look the whole Valley, all the way to the coast.

It’s a nice trail system to ski and walk on. The reason I give it a 4 is because it’s fairly boring and the trees don’t allow you to view much of the surrounding mountains. Nice for walking dogs, but I’ve seen several moose while on this trail.

This hike was breathtaking, recommend waiting for a clear day. Bring a change of socks or breathable footgear as the decent seemed endless on the feet and knees. Trail is not clearly marked toward the end of the ridge line, Cairns aren’t always visible. Stay right on the way up and be prepared to scramble a bit! Overall, well worth the effort but it is taxing so be prepared! We ran out of water half way down so bring a gallon per person minimum

My gal and I hiked Flattop early on a warm summer day. When we arrived we were the only ones there and the view was so inspiring that we decided to make love. I can tell you from experience, this is a great place to view Alaska from and even greater for making love.

Great hike very near Anchorage.

it's tough but, rewarding hike. last mile is all rock climbing however, many families with little kids were able to do this hike. Views are amazing. Memorable part of our Anchorage visit.

Nice walk starting near Anchorage downtown. excellent trail for biking and skateboarding.

Good easy hike, nothing too steep. If you do choose to go out on the spur at the eastern point of the loop you have the option to continue on several other trails. Reccomend keeping this app and your phone's location service on during the hike as a quick reference tool as there are a few forks where it isnt clear which way to go. Overall good time and great view of the city if you go out on the eastern spur.

easy. not very scenic till you get to the falls. falls great.

Took my 5 year old son, 9 year old daughter, and our little dog for a nice morning hike. we stopped a few times and the kids ate lunch at the top just before the steep rocky part. We tried to climb all the way to the flag but was too steep, unstable rocky ground and I felt uncomfortable with the kids so we turned around. the last 1/3 is tough that's for sure. next time it will be a grown up trip to the top.
