Hiked to the prismatic overlook, and then finished on this trail. Totaled about 10 miles. The imperial geyser was the highlight of the trip. Hike was pretty boring compared to other hikes, but was very easy. Worth seeing the geyser over the falls or prismatic.

Great hike with a beautiful waterfall. Bonus cemetery at the entrance

This was an awesome hike I did on Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this hike if you are in great shape because it can get hot you have to carry your own water. Different places on the trail can have more or less people on it someplace is your buyer self other places it’s congested. Get there as early as you can the views are spectacular specially at the end of the trail.
A Virtual Treadmill video of this hike can be seen on my YouTube Channel, copy and paste link below to watch it. Thanks.

A beautiful somewhat challenging hike. I hiked it counterclockwise and was happy I did. The trail starts out a little drab but gets nicer as you go. There is a nice view towards the end after the trail takes you up a hill.

Very easy hike. Falls at the end are great. These falls are similar to Twin Falls locates just outside of Port Wing. Be careful on the way out and make sure you end up on the same trail you walked in on. We ended up on the ATV trail on the way but but fortunately it intersects with the actual trail.

A pleasant walk, but wasn't as long as advertised. We walked south but the path ended before it should have. Still, we enjoyed the afternoon stroll.

My fave hike in Red Rock, I’m there quite often. It starts off easy then can get a littl difficult so make sure to bring plenty of water. If you hike into the canyon you can either relax at the top r go further in. If you do prepare to do some scrambling.

This hike as mapped is just someone exploring and recording the Hike. Beautiful but no marked trail of any kind as you get off regular loop and climb to top, follow ridge line then descend. Difficult, with significant exposure and truly an exploration. Be ready to backtrack, trying alternate routes and bring plenty of liquids and snacks. A hike we anticipated lasting 2 hours turned into a near 6 hour mostly rock scrambling outing. Be careful, not for the faint of heart!

This hike actually features two waterfalls. The second waterfall has some ropes that you can climb to the top. It looked like you could go further but we turned around there.

I really liked this trail a lot. It is a pretty easy trail with an awesome view at the end. my dog and I really enjoyed it. We will for sure be back to hike it again!

Hiked this trail while visiting NY from Baltimore with my husband and 9 y/o son. We all loved the terrain - very different from what we are used to hiking. We hiked up the creek until we got to the bridge and hiked back down on the steep dirt trail. We absolutely loved climbing the waterfalls. I definitely recommend this one! Wear waterproof shoes with a good grip and take bug spray!

My Route: Took the right trail up to the top of the gorge, looped around and back down. so the gully was on our left at all times. THEN walked the water into the gully, up the rope and back down.

My Review: 9/10. Map at the parking lot is confusing and trails are not marked other than blue. It's also difficult to start as it's straight up immediately. However, the water/creek trail is beautiful and there are many photo ops. Also, minimal garbage along trails!

My Advice: Your feet & butt will get wet, plan accordingly. If you have difficulty climbing over logs, rocks, etc. this isn't for you. Don't forget to stop and look up from time to time. The feeling of being g wrapped up in a gully is awe-inspiring.

Can’t wait to go back- wore the wrong shoes for the “rock climbing part”! Great place for the whole family kids and dogs.

Great wide trail with beautiful views of the lake. I will be going again

One of the most beautiful bike rides I have been on. Very easy, but you do have to watch for people on tandem bikes and children.

we did the 8.2 mile loop twice.

Walked the trail first. It was a workout. Went as far as the meadow at the top and came back down. Then walked the creek bed & up to multiple waterfalls. Did not go too far as the water became too deep. It was beautiful & challenging.
Bug spray is a must!

Great hike! The falls at the top are wonderful, with a nice shallow swimming hole at the bottom.

Great multi-generational hike, plus our dog was in his element. Easy-moderate hike. Very lovely falls and forest.

I do this hike a couple times a year with friends. It is a nice flat walk along the west side of a completely uninhabited lake with small boat and motor restrictions. We usually leave a car at the north end Dec parking lot and park along the road taking the south end path to access the main trail. An outstanding place for birding in May.

Easy access trail with a beautiful waterfall at the end!

Great trail for family

challenging and awesome. Will be back

Loved walking through the stream the whole way. Great place for kids to play in the creek, and then in the water hole at the end. Gorgeous water falls.

Great scenic hike. Wear shoes you can confidently walk in water in tho. Only drawback was we did not.

Great sneaker creeking! We walked up the creek, which was flowing but not too fast, with 4 children (ages 4 to 9). We made it to the boy scout bridge. Some challenges of course! We then walked down the trail that looped around and didn't go near the water. Felt good about that choice as going down through the water could have been a bit treacherous! overall a great hike!

Had to scramble into the woods to let a herd of bison pass. The falls are spectacular.
