This trail is absolutely gorgeous. The changing leaves are beautiful right now and the lake is beautiful. We accidentally found ourselves between a Bull moose and cow moose. The cow moose was only about 10 feet away from us so it took us an extra 20 minutes to get down since we decided to backtrack a bit to be safe and wait for the moose to move. I've seen a lot of moose up here. They are such neat animals. Just be careful!

Great hike with beautiful scenery at the lake.

Great trail, great views throughout. Concur with others who recommend counterclockwise starting from fairyland parking lot.

Overall a very nice trail. I would say a moderate effort to the top as it is all uphill but nothing too bad. The lakes and mountains at the trail end are fantastic!

Definitely a real hike but worth the work. All uphill on the way out but the downhill on the way back is a treat!

The hike itself is tough. We left the parking lot at 6 am and we’re glad we got an early start as the trail got pretty busy as we were coming back down later in the morning. We got to the lake just before the sun started to hit Sundial Peak. The view of the peak lit up by the sun was incredible! Well worth the sore legs.

A steep trail, but not nearly as steep as reviews made it sound. Awesome trail! The trees are stunning right now.

Beautiful, I was not expecting to go this route but when a sign say waterfalls you have to take it. It does get a little intense but if I can do it anyone can. It’s worth the trek it took me just shy of four hours to go up and back down. I did round the lower resinous just to wrap it up but very worth it.

Great trail / climb! Amazing views of Catherine’s Lake and Cecret Lake up to Brighton.

The view draws the eye over to Mt Superior and across to Twin Peaks and beyond to Timp and Nebo ...

This is probably one of my favorite trails to run down !

Don't go. Gross, tons of people who bring their kids and pets to run around and splash and scream in the water.

Outstanding hike. Best to do it counter clockwise.

Beautiful scenic hike overlooking the Little Cottonwood Canyon, yellow aspens were vibrant. A consistent uphill not any switchbacks that I can remember. Lots of rocks! Will hike this again

Great trail if you’re looking for an intense exercise going up some really rocky and dirt trails. It consists of going up the initial peak from the trailhead, which leads to a path surrounding a small, dried-up lake. My friend and I went left from there, where we hit a few side-trails that went further into the forest (probably to get closer to the lake), up to where we find a sign that marked where the waterfall trail actually begins.

From that sign, we ascended upwards through some forest that offered some scenic water/stream views, and after much progress, the trail becomes extremely rocky and treacherous. Be sure to take many breaks and bring tons of water. Eventually you’ll make it high enough where the trail veers to the side, where you’ll have to traverse both dirt and rock to make it to the actual waterfall.

Thankfully the trail isn’t too bad going down, but be very careful of your footing because it’s easy to slip when stepping on loose dirt and gravel.

All in all, good trail, but I would only come back for the sidetrails and wildlife instead of going all the way back to the waterfall.

trail is well marked and not as traveled as the queens/peekaboo loop. Loved it! Amazing views. If you can only do 1 hike while in Bryce, do this one.

Great hike especially at night with flashlights.

This was a wonderful hike. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. I did use the app to make sure we chose the right trail at one point. We were with a couple who wanted a shorter hike and this delivered but still offered an amazing view at the top. Parking can sometimes we tough but we happened to get one of the last spots. Parking on the road is not allowed. I’ve hiked in this area a lot and this is one of my favorite hikes because of the views. They are beautiful all along the way and especially on top of the peak! Highly recommended if you aren’t looking for something too strenuous.

This is my absolute favorite hiking trail. I did not find it difficult at all, but I am a runner and in fairly good shape (but getting old!). I am also afraid of drop-off heights and this wasn't frightening to me at all. Someone suggested we stop and look back from time to time and that was great advice. Beautiful views during all three miles, looking both ways. On a sunny day? The view of the orange hoodoos takes your breath away. I so hope to return someday!

I did this hike last weekend while visiting for a race and it was absolutely beautiful. The climb is steep in areas but well worth the view of the lake at the top! It took us about 4 hours and that included stops for pictures and hanging out around the lake soaking in all the views! So glad I did this hike while visiting, it was especially magical with the fall colors!

We started our hike around sunrise from the Rim Trail adjacent to the North Campground, going clockwise. Saw maybe 6 people in first 2.5 hours of the hike so really like that benefit of an early start although it was 39 degrees so a bit chilly. Lots of early morning shadows complicated photo taking.
Took 4 hrs to completely the Fairyland Loop trail with lunch at the Tower Bridge and a million stops for photos.
Tip: Park at the visitor center overflow parking then walk through the North Campground just past loop “c”, taking a left up the short trail between campsites 60 & 61 to reach the Rim Trail.

Be prepared for hiking back out. The climb is very demanding.

Beautiful hike. We started at 8:30 and there weren't too many people. By 10 there were people everywhere

Steep as hell but very rewarding. Lake Blanche is breathtaking and there are two more lakes with a gorgeous backdrop within a few hundred yards. About half the trail is shaded, the water level of the lake is super low in the fall so you can walk around the whole thing pretty quickly.

hey was a nice beautiful hike today. This is definitely a hard level hike. Don't let anybody fool you thinking this is an intermediate hike you need to be in good shape and be ready to rock. Definitely bring good shoes as there is a lot of rocks and this Trail has a steady incline and will test your Fitness level.

This trail has a lot of shade, and although it gains a lot of altitude, the switchbacks are long and fairly gentle. There are some parts where you have to scramble up rocks, and it is a narrow trail. We started at 10am on a Tuesday morning, and it wasn’t very crowded. It took us until 1:15pm to make it to the first view of the Valley. We stopped there because we were in a bit of a time crunch. We didn’t make it back down until 3pm! The person who mentioned making it up in 40 minutes deserves a slow clap. My middle two have autism and hike slowly and need lots of breaks. They loved the trail but did feel like it was quite long. In general kids aren’t super pumped about hiking to an overlook, but if you’re trying to decided between this hike and Rattlesnake Gulch up Millcreek Canyon, I’d say Rattlesnake is better—shorter and better view, though it does feel steeper. P.S. The leaves are changing like crazy, but it’s in a dry, crispy sort of way. Still pretty though.

As billed, busy and lots of cute puppies along the way, but beautiful Fall colors and the weather was perfect. Pretty easy hike/run all in all.

Very nice landscape! Did in 2h:20 in mid-September.

Doesn't waste any time gaining elevation and will stay that way all throughout.

Requires some light scrambling / bouldering, but well worth it!

I attempted this back last Fall, but the snow was too sketchy and did not have any spikes or anything.

My buddy and I ended up navigating down that steep rocky channel as a shortcut.

It was a good challenge and test to overcome fear of heights.

If you go that way be careful and watch your footing.

Rock surfing can be WAY fun … lol … :-)

Completely breathtaking scenery. After hiking mount Olympus this was a piece of cake. I think it should be rated as moderate.

Breathtaking views! So worth hiking into the canyon to get close to the hoodoos! Challenging hike if you’re not used to the altitude. Take plenty of water, and take breaks in the shade! Loved it!

Beautiful from start to finish. Truly Fairy like feeling ascending & descending around the Hoodoos!! Highly recommend!!!
