on Heart Rock Trail

Amazing place ❤️

Really fun trail! We went around 7:30am and heard a lot of coyotes yipping about halfway into the hike. We took the trail all the way up to the highway and ended up doing an out and back instead of one of the loops you can follow past two trees trail. Very few other hikers, we only saw three people the whole hike, which was about 4.5 miles. We had three dogs and saw a coyote at one point so we turned back. Definitely would do again but be watchful for coyotes in the morning.

Such a beautiful and easy hike!!!!

Nice trail and fairly easy hike

Hiked on foot, it begin at the end of the neighborhood of Palm Ave and you can park right on side of the street for free (if you’re not taking your vehicle up). 17.5mile trail. I went up 2.5 miles, only seen one car coming down other than that empty. Beautiful scenic views of the mountains, hills and city below!!! That was only 2.5 miles then I went back down the same way I came up, only took about 2 hours and 15min. 100% worth it. Gets steep at some point but nothing to be worried about if you’re relatively healthy. Wear good shes because it’s mainly gravel, will be stepping on lots of rocks (can you tell I’m new to hiking

Sunday 11/25. Trail was in good repair. Not quite wide enough for a Full Size Bronco at some points. Luckily it’s not a new paint job. Trail had some amazing views of the valley below. Easy rating is correct. There were a few off shoots that allowed me to flex the Bronco a bit @ Momentum Pt. Enjoyed the run. Followed 2N49 out to Cleghorn Rd. by Silverwood Lake.

We took our 4 year old and it was an easy hike for all of us. Went on black friday. Crowd was average and we did not have any problems finding parking. The creek has very less water at this time of the year, so there was no waterfall near the heart rock. Nevertheless, a beautiful hike through the forest. The heart rock itself is fascinating to view. Would love to go again in spring.

Hulda Crooks Park is a very popular location in the area for both bikers and hikers. It's quite dry these days with very little active brush growth. There is a lot of revision work being done in the area related to power lines that traverse the area. Not really a problems however for those that want to enjoy the area. The expansive views possible here continue to impress me. My recent track included the usual ridge-line track, but in addition a loop further into the back country. The latter addition includes Scott Canyon Trail to the end of the Jedi Trail, then back on the West Ridge Trail. Two things to note about the West Ridge Trail are as follows. First, the best expansive views of the area are from this trail. However, the west ridge trail is not an especially easy trail, with steep up/down sections, drop-offs, and poor signage. Best to have a track to follow. There is no shade (or very little) on this trail in general. The bikers have made so many trails in the area, it can be very confusing.

Overall easy trail with some great views. easy terrain just horrible trail rash, so if you dont want your vehicle to get scratched dont use this trail. Also I tried taking 2N45 to exit to the 138 and had to turn back, I know it turns into a black diamond rd after the fork with the 2N59 but I had to turn back because it was overgrown with brush and tree branches it looks like that part of it is not used anymore. So make sure that you take the 2N59 when you get to the fork. I started at palm st and ended at the 138 just south of the lake.

Very nice. Not that difficult.

A nice and easy nature walk fit for all ages. You may be greeted by people who maintain the trail and they are ready and willing to give you a small tour or supply you with a fun fact. Before entering, you can pick up a guide that explains the significance of the trail markers which makes it a fun and educational activity for the whole family.

Also, make sure to bring your Adventure Pass to park here.

Simply beautiful

Nicely designed nature walk. Good for all ages. .

It is a 4 when water is in the creek it would be a 5. I would say it is easy to moderate vs just easy. For a first hike for children they definitely need to watch their step.

Very pretty.

Beautiful, fun and easy hike. There was no water when we went on Sept 23rd, but was still such a nice hike. A little bit of an incline on the way back out, but my husband and I are always taking our kids (2 months, 3, 5, and 7 years old) out for hikes, lake/river swimming and fishing, 4 wheeling and camping trips so they didn't have to hard of a time. We just let them go their own pace. We lucky when it came to other hikers. The parking was great and we seen maybe 4 other party's hiking. We defiantly want to go again.

Hiked this trail Sunday 9/30. Love this little trail. We always take it to the road and then turn left heading to the highest peak on the north side. It turns out to be about 4.5 miles round trip and the views worth it.

Good trail for practicing, learning, or easy simple offloading. Stock height Nissan Frontier in 4WD preformed perfectly. The trail has gotten a little washed out in 1 or 2 areas. Great experience and definitely recommend!

Very easy hike. There’s a lot of shade so no matter what time of day you go it’s perfect. There were also a lot of butterflies everywhere you looked.
The heart rock was cute too :)

This was a beautiful trail! I did get lost getting there at first due to missing the sharp left turn to the road that gets you to the trail. We parked right in front of the camp sign but there’s two additional parking areas closer to the actual trail. My specialness went tru a closed gate and it was a nice and easy walk up with a paved trail (FYI). Unfortunately no water, but the rocks were cool to look at. We went back tru the actual trail which I LOVED due to the scenery but I had to take a few breaks since the air was thinner. I’d definitely recommend this trail!
