Great trail! Well marked and not too busy
Delightful trail! Just enough ups and downs to keep it interesting but nothing too challenging. The dogwood was beautiful!
nice trail for hiking or biking. is one of the more difficult trails you'll find in this area in some places but sometimes there are multiple options. I did end up off trail. alltrails showed a trail that disappeared and was fun experience getting out. Will be back
Beautiful most scenic.... incline, rocks, water creeks, bluffs and beautiful views for pictures. It’s moderate hiking, you will need waters shoes to pass small creeks. We stopped many time for pictures so it took little more time.. We did whispering pine short loop , very well marked but keep your map with you. Not many people in other morning. I would do it again and allow more time since lots of incline so make sure you have good hiking shoes. Follow the red arrow signs all the way. Enjoy your journey
way too crowded. Sunday is a bad day for this trail
Beautiful wildflowers, and unique walking stones trail! The overlook was soo breaking taking and very scenic. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the trail.
Nice trail, pretty shaded for this time of year. Didn’t see too many people. Would definitely do again.
Was trying to do the 8 mile, but I think the 5 mile was better for me. Quite a few hills, more than anticipated.
loved it! definitely check you and your doggo for tics though! if you do not like alot of uphill, start with the hill. once your up that short distance everything is downhill and flat from there. we made the mistake of starting from the road and had to take the stairs all the way up towards the end. definitely rough for someone out of shape and just beginning. like me
Beautiful scenery up top and pretty wildflowers along the bottom. Trails were marked well for easy navigation.
Definitely walked off path
Was way steeper than I expected (I’m also a novice), but I successfully completed it! It was really pretty with plenty of benches to rest on. Many other hikers and I went the exact opposite way of everyone else. But it was nice to have a flat, even walk after trudging up steep inclines. Also, there’s stairs at one point, use the railing, do not trust the stairs. It is muddy at some points, weirdly so. But there was also an adorable pile of rocks with motivational messages on them. And the spots you can stop to look over the river are very peaceful. Plenty of streams and flowers everywhere also on you way to see the river. (I hiked in mid-April). Was definitely a wild ride I wasn’t prepared for!
Forest Park has become my favorite Park to hike at night. Nothing beats the scenery of the planetarium and I can never get enough of the combination of museums, woods, and beautiful lakes and ponds. #hikinghonkeyOnInstagram
Close to personal best.
absolutely horrible trail. not marked whatsoever. ended up cutting the trail short because there's no signage. only good thing was nobody was on the trail
Beautiful but crowded
trail was a lot of fun great place for a hardtail .pretty easy and tight turns. was a little muddy but it was good
Shorter trail that goes through bottom lands. Good elevation on the earthen path. Was pretty muddy in some spots after rainy weather, but plenty of spurs to get around it. A really great trail on it's own, or if you just need to duck out of the longer Lewis trail. Highly recommend!
Good. It can be hard if you have not hiked a lot Just look out for recent rain because it can be muddy
Wondrous
Great trail for being in the middle of a city. Usually a moderate number of people on the trail but not crowded. Proximity to the highway on some parts takes away from it a bit.
Beautifully serene trail not far from civilization. Not busy at all, with lots of space. 10/10
What a great trail, we hiked it counter clockwise, and it was so beautiful.
Beautiful wildflowers blooming all along the trail!
awesome
Great Trail! Just hiked after and during the rain, so... trails turn into mini streams
A little muddy after the rain, but it’s a well kept trail. Very easy to follow and a little bit of everything to see.
