Great views, good areas to rest, can get windy at some of the open areas. Worth every step

This trail has everything! Great ocean vistas, cliffs, dramatic climbs, 4 compass points, a beach. Incredibly well maintained by an army of volunteers it was the highlight of our trip!

Stunning ocean views.

Beautiful scenery on the coastal route with resting/viewing lookouts along the way!...love to finish the trail with a packed lunch on the beach!...

Incredible day. It has some steep inclines and declines but nothing crazy. Unbelievable views of the towns, rock faces, beaches, and geography. I see why it’s rated easy for regular hikers but if you’re a newbie I’d consider it a moderate. Don’t let it stop you though it’s an awesome day

Great trail. It's got it all. Picturesque cliff views, enchanted forest, a beach and ends with a pond. Well maintained.

Well maintained trail, with fabulous views and photo opportunities. We loved it!

absolutely gorgeous views. Difficult in places. Boardwalks go almost straight up at times. Worth the time.

Amazing trail, easy, can be done in about 90 minutes but because of the beautiful views along the way, it will take about 3 hours with all the stops. When looking over the cliffs, make sure to look out for whales because you will likely see some.

Great shorter hike with epic views of bogs, forests, cliffs and the ocean. We were lucky and missed the morning fog that can sometimes hide the views. Parts of the trail may not be the best for people who have a fear of heights.

Short and easy trail that takes you to a viewing platform with a magnificent view.

nice trail with stunning views, but I wouldn‘ t call it easy; I am used to hike in the Swiss Alps, there a trail like this would be labelled moderate or even difficult (as the tourist map of Twillingate does it)

Jawdroppingly gorgeous trail. Walk up to a dramatic cloud forest interspersed with lichen fields and 300m cliffs that make you feel like you are on the edge of the earth.

It was an awesome hike if you’re looking for something outside of Terra Nova and the bugs. It take you on the Salvage town that is very beautiful and the hike give great town views. After that the coastline hike is just great. We had encounters with three minke whales on our off the trail hike. We did go on our own path for about 1 km on the shore hiking the rocks and spent about 5 hours watching the water. I’d do this hike over and over again.

An easy to moderate walk on a well maintained trail with absolutely spectacular views and plenty of viewpoints.

Great easy walk with all the awesome outdoor/ water sounds.

Pass the Pillow lava and granite that is exposed on the cliff face at Sleepy Cove. There are the remains of historic mining operation by Obediah Hodder. Author Dr. Martha Hickman Hild in her book Geology of NewFoundland has a chapter on Dunnage, Iapetus ocean floor and Islands which includes Sleepy Cove. History dating back 500 million years. There is also a great view of Crow Head. The hike and view allow one time to reflect and enjoy nature to its fullest.

Done a couple of times and is definitely in my top five of favourite hikes. Extremely scenic and nicely groomed.

This is a nice easy trail which has an option for an additional side trail to a look-out which overlooks Trinity Bay and the community of Trinity. Well maintained with many educational signs which showcase the areas rich logging history. There are also volley ball courts, picnic areas, playgrounds and a swimming area with change rooms at the trail head.

This is a fabulous hiking trail network with many different routes available from a 30 min walk to a multi hour day hike. The views of Salvage are spectacular! Whales and Icebergs can be seen from the many viewpoints along the trail. Old cemeteries and saltbox homes remind us of how things used to be. This is one of my favourite hikes. Highly recommend!

I hiked this trail in May and found that the section that runs parallel to the highway was still very icy since it goes through dense woods and the snow had been packed into ice from people walking over it. I ended up bushwacking towards the highway and walking back to my car along the road. The look out is of beautiful Alexander Bay and worth the effort required to climb the stairs to the top.

A really beautiful hike from start to finish. if you only have a short amount of time this is a great way to cram all that coastal hiking has to offer in just a few hours.

Awesome well maintained trail. The views were stunning. I would recommend bringing binoculars as we could seals out on the sea ice, but they were too far away to get a good look.
