Is a great ride by bike! Peaceful, quiet, you pass occasional riders or walkers but is not usually too congested. Has a few places to pull over by the river and sit and relax. Is well maintained. A huge plus to this trail is it runs right by some of Fort Collins best Breweries which make for some great pit stops! Love this trail!

Paved trail.
Nice view of the foothills.
Snake signs throughout the trail.
We hiked in the middle of May. Everything was nice and green, with an array of wild flowers. Lots of people walking, biking, and jogging with/without dogs.

This is my favorite place to walk my dogs! The reservoir is beautiful and it's always quiet. People are respectful of the rules and each other. Nice place to ride your bike as well. Wish I lived a bit closer so we could walk here every day!!

If you follow the sidewalk all the way through you would be fine. but if you like to go off the sidewalk and take the other paths there is no direction and very overgrown. At one point I had to walk along side a county road to get back to the path. overall decent if you like walking the sidewalk.

This was a great trail for a toddler and dog. The whole family had fun and there were a few spots to stop and enjoy the Poudre.

Great

Very nice trail with lots to see. A few sitting areas in case you need to rest. The only complaint is it lacks trash and recycle cans along the trail to dispose of pet waste and plastic bottles.

A flat trail great for nature walks and a paved walkway around a reservoir. Popular for fishing and bird-watching, but usually lightly trafficked. Moderate traffic noise from I-25. Riverside with historical landmarks.

Nicely maintained trails with lots of birds to be seen. Some history that makes the area interesting. Kids fished while I hiked. Typical urban trail with traffic noise but is convent to get to.

Beautifully maintained trail along the river. Highly used so lots of cyclists and runners and people with dogs.

Pretty lake views nice for sunset walks. Traffic noise from interstate is present, but can be forgotten about due to lack of people on trail. Good for nature walks

Great local trail. The trail is mainly flat, well maintained, and heavily used. Follow the trail west to an awesome bridge, pine trees, and the cool little towns of laporte and bellview. Follow the trail east to some nice parks and huge cottonwood trees. This trail is great for walking, biking, commuting, fishing, and enjoying. Check it out in the spring during peak run off. The poudre river often overtakes the trail in some spots. It is a sigh to see. I have probably done this trail 100 times. I have never gotten sick of it, and I always find ways to appreciate its usefulness and beauty. If your in Fort Collins, this trail is a must see

It was pretty, but not a lot shaded so my dog got a little hot. It was very easy and nice views of the lake. I could hear the highway very clearly, but the path itself was very uncrowded and peaceful.

Alright just to go get out of house, nothing amazing you can hear i25 the whole trail. Still nice views.

Beautiful views of the mountains and ponds. Lots of bugs, birds, toads, and rabbits. SO MANY RABBITS. Noise from I-25 is present, but not horrible. We enjoyed it.

Hiked the 4 mile section from Butterfly Woods to College (287) and back. A good walk, but nothing to write home about. Definitely a good candidate for a quick jog, bike ride, or short escape on a work day.

Great little trail minus the noise of traffic.

An easy trail meandering around some ponds, you can vary the length and time of your walk by taking different loops. Pretty views of the water but also road-noisy due to being so close to the interstate.

I use this trail after a rain or snow when I don't want to damage unpaved trails. Considering the location, it's actually pretty quiet. I'm glad the area is protected!

This trail is great for a relaxing hike or bike ride that can take you from Fort Collins to Greeley. It's all paved and a smooth ride on the flat plains of Colorado.

Awesome trail! It rides along the poudre river and its got some beautiful scenery... Especially at sunset!

Because of its proximity to it, you can hear the Highway through most of the trail. The noise is probably the biggest downer of the walk. There are lots of trails you can use to make the walk shorter or longer, and it's really nice to be close to the water. There aren't many trees along the trail away from the ponds so shade is a bit hard to come by! Nice views of the water and very peaceful though!

Extremely easy considering it's paved. It's a nice easy walk with a good view. Watch out for rattle snakes!

It's a nice, easy walking trail especially nice in the early summer when the flowers are out. I've seen rattlesnakes, prairies dogs, coyotes and a variety of raptors and other birds.
