Spring/Fall hikes Map

I love this mountain! It is my and the dog's stomping grounds!

walk this once a month at least. Great views!

went before sunrise so we could be at the top just as it rose and may I say it was beautiful!!! if you get out early enough there isn't many people. we were there until 1030a and we only saw people on the wall down. trail is quite steep but it's pretty quick up to the top so I would definitely say it's worth it!! amazing views!!! and so many places to explore.

A beautiful 3 hour hike with much to see! the summit is just under 6k ft with spectacular views, including mt. Shasta

I found this a pretty hard hike going up. But the views were worth it!

Very busy trail. It’s a moderately steep, but short hike to the top. Nice view of the Rouge Valley up there!

easy hike with amazing veiws summer or winter.

The views are outstanding and the hike is fairly easy. Great for a day hike!

I went here multiple times growing up and loved the hike! The views from the top are amazing and the unique flowers are really cool to observe. An easy day hike.

The views are amazing. I’ve been here a few times and every time is easier than the last time. Moderate is accurate. Usually it gets a little bit crowded and sometimes I think is overrated.

This a pretty romantic place. It has saved me several times when I want to hike something close and do some good workout at the same time. You can take several alternative trails to the way up to make the hike a little bit harder.

Great hike especially in the warmer months. The hike up the hill is mostly shaded by large trees. The view is great. I suggest taking the left side of the loop out and back, as the highest point is uneventful and not a view point.

This hike has a marked as “easy” but half of the hike is on the flat top and half a steady climb over 1.2 miles. I was wearing sneakers and my toes really hurt by the end. Also there is NO water at the trailhead or on the hike, so bring it with you. Views are wonderful. Also dogs are not allowed on the trail or top but many people don’t listen to this request.

Great views! a little bit of frost this time of year...I would recommend Hobart bluff trail if one were wanting to choose between the two trails!

Always lovely, November 6th, little bit of mud in the beginning otherwise clear and beautiful.

Nice views well-maintained trail perfect for carting a baby on. Great in the fall

absolutely beautiful views

Great long hike, easy assension to the top. Amazing views. Family and Dog friendly, easy parking too.

Really excellent place. There is like 7 different trails you can hike; easy to difficult. Everything is marked. I took my 5 month old German Shepard and didnt have any issues or poison oak. I would definitely hike there again.

Saturday, 10-13-2018: This is a nice hike with a well-maintained trail. I was the second person on the trail at 7am in the morning. Made it to the top just as the sun was rising. For the most part it's a constant incinde until you get to the top, which is flat. Because of this, I would say it's more of a moderate hike than an easy one. There is a ton of room to roam around and explore once at the top. I saw a family of deer about 10 minutes into the hike, but not many other animals other than birds the rest of the way. Definitely recommend this hike.

The views were incredible. I like that you have the option to hike up the peak, or for a somewhat easier journey, take the tower road. We had to use google maps to figure out where to go.. the signage is terrible IMO. Saw lots of deer, fat squirrels, birds and lizards! Also, if you want a bit longer than 4 miles, park at the lower turn out, otherwise continue to the hill to the main parking lot where the portapottys are .

Short trail in good shape. Views are lovely at the top and you’re free to wander all over the plateau once you arrive. The canyon is beautiful between this plateau and the more prominent Table Rock.

absolutely loved it!!

A quick and easy hike to beautiful scenery!

Wonderful! Would love to come back in the spring.

9.29.18: This was my first hike in Southern Oregon. What a beautiful view from the top! So worth the uphill climb! We sat on the lava rocks right at the edge and ate lunch. The view was a little impacted by the smoke but we could still see a lot of the valley and surrounding hills and mountains. Bring your sunscreen for the top trek as the sun can be strong on a good day! No sightings of wildlife other than small lizards and maybe one rabbit. This is a great trail for geocaches. We didn't realize it until we were near the parking lot on our way down and found one on the Old Savannah Trail. There are quite a few benches to have a rest on this trail. We utilized them well. :)

very lovely
