Spring Break 2017 Map

Good hike with great vistas, but one star off for imposing power lines along most of the trail and unthoughtful dog owners who have left loaded poop bags scattered along the trail - if they even bothered to pick it up

Great quick hike for a nice view of Bay Area and City all in one.

Not dog friendly. No bikes. State park. So the area below (the field) can have dogs on leash. But no dogs allowed on the trail sadly :/

Absolutely beautiful little trail. Driving to the trailhead itself offered gorgeous views of the mountains, canyons, and distant oceans.

The river beds were all dried up, but there is some flowing water when you get down to the grotto. The trail itself is pretty easy, but more towards the moderate side considering some of the loose rock on the somewhat steep inclines down into the canyon.

Although I was wearing long sleeves and pants, I did find a tick on my dog and one burrowing in my side when I got home, so please check yourselves if you do this hike.

I usually take my son in a stroller when I go hiking so this trail was ideal because it’s mostly paved. There are nice views but it’s not the most gorgeous walk I’ve ever been on. I enjoyed it for what it was but I much rather go down Sunset a bit and hike at Will Rogers State Park.

Steep climb, beautiful views

Fun trail , would say it’s a little more then easy but isn’t moderate. Great work out .

cool trail Little Rock climbing towards the grotto which made it even more fun, didn't come across any kinds of wild life unfortunately

Great hike well kept

Went hiking with my wife, a buddy & my husky and found that the grotto was great location for first time hikers. It was a bit windy and we got there early to beat that samo traffic (arrived @840am). Road to ranch is a bit windy and you’ll need to be mindful the cyclist’. Will be going again soon!

fun and pretty. very easy hike. good place for a picnic.

Not a sufficient work out

Pretty trail. Plenty of shade. Decent variety of elevation so no single section is uphill or downhill for too long. Dogs are allowed until you get down into the riverbed.

Lots of interconnected trails, some still closed as of 12/1/18 due to the fire. Some trails have been bulldozed to make fireroads/breaks. Burn damage is tragic, but it isn’t too ashy or smoky in the trails that are open.

Really fun driving here. Very short easy walk. No need for bug spray in November.

Exactly as described. Nice waterfall at the end, leisurely walk to get there.

good, easy hike. walked by horses and enjoyed the loop. only complaint is $12 parking.

This was a very simple trail with a beautiful ending at the waterfall. Wonderful colors this time of year and the moss growing over the rocks had an amazing cascading waterfall too. So pretty! The entrance was a bit hidden but look for the sign that says Rose Valley Falls. The trail that’s gated off is a fire road.

kid friendly (age 4&6) make sure to stay to the left once you hit the rocks or else you are stuck walking through the rocks all the way to the grotto... pretty fun alot of climbing over rocks

Gorgeous trails with many options. The trails are clearly marked but it can still get confusing. We absolutely loved it!

Hake, if you say that dogs are not allowed on this trail and the description above says that they are allowed on a leash, who do I believe?

Started off at noon. Neat park that was gifted to the state of California by Betty, the wife of three great humorist and cowboy philosopher Will Rogers. If you don't know who Will Rogers is, he is worth looking up and learning about. The park cost $12, and has a small parking lot. Will Rogers house open for tours on the hour. Really though, the best feature of the park is the Inspiration Point Trail, a roughly 2.5 mile loop. The views are amazing. From Inspiration Point there are sweeping views of Los Angeles to Santa Monica, and the beach communities all the way down to Palos Verses. Trails are well maintained, and the park was moderately busy. Also, lots of equestrian activity including a polo field.

Perfect short easy trail that is gorgeous- breathtaking! Do it!

Fun little trail, cool waterfall at the end. My 2year old enjoyed it enough to be entertained the entire walk and had fun time splashing cold water on her hands from the waterfall.

Dog friendly, but some other trails don’t allowed take dogs. Great view on the ocean!)

Nice trail for what it is. Very short, easy walking, wide trail with a nice view. Good for someone who doesn't want to walk too far or get too dirty.
