Fantastic dog friendly trail.

BUT - why do people let their dogs off leash and leave filled poop bags on the trail?

This is one of my favorite hikes, especially in October! The colors are stunning! I've hiked it several times, it never gets old.

Great little walk with rewarding views!

nice slot canyon at the upper end of hike. beautiful foilage for fall colors.

Beautiful trail but not marked well. Park at the Sand Cove trailhead and follow the Flicker trail until you see signs for Arch trail. There are cairns to mark trail. We pretty much followed the footprints. The arch is not to far from the river on your right hand side as you go down the big sand hill ( which is a little tough going back up!) We went down to the river. The arch is easily seen on the way back... this time on your left. Definitely bring a lot of water. Great hike. Definitely use a GPS.

This was a mostly level hike up a stream bed. There was only a small stream in October, but without waterproof hiking shoes, feet would still have been wet! Great, rewarding and relaxing hike; lots of slot canyons, two waterfalls, and wonderful fall foliage.

Beautiful area with great scenery. We got to the rope on the wall and didn't continue on. I didn't have any issue getting up the wall, but I think it would be hard for kids to do... if they were successful getting up it, it is quite different coming back down. It was too bad there was a super annoying group at the end being extremely noisy, because it would have been great to be able to spend some time there just taking everything in.

Easy hike however, very short 1.5 out and back of you stop at the rope on the wall.

amazing moderate hike with spectacular views of cliffs and narrows. The sculpted sandstone formations are breathtaking.

We stayed the night in Cedar City after visiting Bryce and Zion. This is the PERFECT hike to end the weekend before heading back to Vegas to fly out. This is a pretty easy hike. There are no markings but you can easily follow the trail. The water follows the trail most of the way so if it’s a fresh rain it may be pretty muddy. Fitbit said we did 4.93 in 3:49 with numerous stops.

Great short trail. Super easy to access with a fair amount of traffic. Did this with my wife and big lab mix. There was no water flowing when we were there but I’m sure it’s amazing when it’s running. There is not a ton of shade mid-day so even on days that aren’t super hot (it was about 80 when we went) bring a ton of water - especially for the pups. We had to turn back before the end since the dog was starting to struggle with the heat. Two thumbs way up.

This was a really fun hike! If you have small children you might want to bring a child carrier for some parts. It would have been even cooler if the river was there, will try again in the rainy seasons.

I parked my car at the gravel parking lot near US-89. I walked about a mile down the sandy road and came across a Hyundai with all wheel drive that was stuck in the sand. I helped push them along with another guy and they were able to drive back up the road for maybe 0.2 miles. They got stuck in the sand again. The other guy helping was a local. He went home and got his pickup truck. He tried using a tow strap to pull the Hyundai. No luck. I walked back up to the parking lot. After eating some snacks and drinking some water I walked back down to where the stuck Hyundai was. The Hyundai and pickup truck were gone. I guess they made it out okay.

First thing, Turn Left into creek from trail. We hiked about 1.5 miles each way, went through maybe 6 slot sections, easy hike with good reward. We were told no more slots so were ok going back at that point. 6 miles on dirt road rough but passable. Water level was prefect, small stream.

The trail was very narrow and it was definitely not meant for anything other than ATVs. We made it down in a Jeep Grand Cherokee but we came back with pin stripes down both sides. Pretty cool view at the end.!

A short but remarkable slot canyon. Beware, the 4 mile drive in is some of the deepest sand I have ever encountered. My FJ got us in and out without airing down but we passed 2 rental jeeps buried to the axles.

Amazing hike, dogs loved it. Great views. Not much water when we went.

Fun easy trail. Do this one the first half of the day then cool down hiking Kannara Falls the second half! Be sure to bring enough water, it’s a long hike that’s sometimes very hot.

Great family hike. Kids will love the water, just be aware with kids you might not make it very far down the slot because of the water, mud and formations. Also plan to have a change of clothes for the kids after the hike.

A good easy hike. Very enjoyable. Scenery is fantastic.

This trail includes a steep, sandy hill climb, beautiful sandstone formations, poorly marked and rarely trafficked trails, and an arch that’s actually quite tricky to spot. It’s a beautiful area with a good view and a lot of nice features. If this is your first time, consider using a gps. I think it’s great fun. Definitely moderate. Definitely not easy or hard. Watch out for cryptobiotic soil; there’s a lot of it here, and it’s easy to get off trail, so tread carefully.

beautiful hike!

This was awesome! I started around 8:00am and only saw a few groups on the way back. I went probably about 2.5-2.75 miles into the canyon as I wasn't sure about where the end of the "trail" was. I checked my guide book eventually and realized I had already passed the "end" - considered where you see a another Creek intersect Willis Creek at about 2.2 miles. Such a cool slot canyon with varying wall heights. Wear hiking sandals. I just walked in the creek the whole way. Dogs would love it, too.

While rated at ‘Easy’, some areas are a more moderate level. This is especially true for small children and old folks - like me. I loved the scenery! If you bring a dog, you may need to carry it in some spots if it’s a small dog.

Easy for kids and beautiful. I didn’t love the dirt road to get there.

Beautiful easy hike with the family. We had fun chasing little lizards and climbing on som big rocks. Bummed there wasn’t any water to play in or walk through but still a great hike.

This is a must-see if you need a slot canyon fix or want to get off the beaten path! There is no cell service, so make sure you have driving directions, inform your people of your plans, and have checked the weather before you leave the highway. The road to the trail head is an adventure in and of itself; a couple creek crossings, some soft steep climbs, gravel/sand/mud the entire way. We started around 8 am, walked out 2.2 miles and then turned back, seeing only two other hiking parties during the 2 hours we spent on the trail. Incredible photo opportunities, beautiful icy cold water, and every slot is a little different than the one that came before. Easily done with families, I would recommend a water resistant shoe; some sucking mud and clay, and a couple of deeper spots to cross. Water was just a few inches in most places on the day of our visit.

Easy trail suitable for families. Not as much shade as you might think, especially at midday. Wear your water shoes and enjoy!

Very fun hike my 8 yr old enjoyed every bit of it the drive is a 6 mile dirt road not a bad drive though fun slot canyon the slot canyon is relative short but fun ....

Beautiful hike; very doable and fun - also with kids due to water element. Would wish it was clearer where the end of the trial is (maybe add some signage). Trip to parking lot with car was fine (first hill is steep and lots of ditches; but AWD did fine). Highly recommended as only a few come here and you are truly in the middle of beautiful nature. Be sure the wear shoes that can get wet and dirty (hiking shoes recommended).
