Good for a ppl who do not hike and who would pay $16.5 for an adult ticket to see something that can be seen for free at different location. I believe last weekend there were over 100 cars parked plus 2 “ coach America” size busses. Over priced and crowded. We turned back , drove 2 miles down the road and hiked for free, lol

3 stars since bathroom was clean

Really nice well marked hike. Easy, but long enough to get a reasonable amount of exercise. I’d like to go back when the rhododendrons are in bloom!

Really great moderate trail. Took us just under two hours with a quick stop at the waterfall for some lunch. Simple but great hike

Great trail. Well kept. Great parking lot. Trail maps available. Well maintained scenic trail with two bridges.

Nice easy trail paved the entire way. There are a few road crossings that you will need to pay close attention to while crossing but the scenery is excellent for a city trail.
There are many folks out there walking, running, riding, so don’t think you’re going to go out there at a 20mph pace and keep it the entire time.
Great little trail.

Happy running-

Perfect fall walk in the woods,

Overrated, commercialized.

Beautiful area. But the trails were not marked well at all. I saw trail names and colors painted on trees, but not at all intersections. There were a few intersections where we had to just pick a way to go. Went with three other adults and a baby. Do Not Bring a baby carriage unless it’s used in off roading and rough terrain. Lots of hills, but great for a first timer without a baby carriage

3 steep inclines but the view at the top is worth it!

This is a great place to start off roading. I just started and went there with my buddy and there were some nice mud puddles and some rocky areas... definitely easy but can give you an idea of what you need to get more difficult off roading in.

This is hiking for people who don't hike. I do like the place, it's beautiful, but i'm used to much, much tougher trails so it's more of a walk in the park to me. TONS of people (again, just not used to that) as it's a very touristy place. Place is beautiful and very easy to follow the trail. This kind of hiking is good for people with small kids.

This should be rated as moderate, good view atop the tower.

Went here back in September. Figured Ill leave a review. First time coming and I thought it was beautiful. F.y.i it is $16 for an adult ticket. Got some awesome photos of the waterfalls. Very clean. It’s not your typical hiking trail. The trail here is more clean, not exactly difficult. Perfect for people with no experience in hiking and want to get a feel of what nature is like without having to work up a sweat. It can be crowded and you will see plenty of dogs. Overall it’s perfect for a family outing. I would definitely go again

This not your typical nature walk. It’s a sightseeing adventure filled with beautiful waterfalls. Be prepared to climb and descend steps everywhere you go. I think the $16.50 to get in is a bit pricy but this is private land and maintenance on all those steps and walkways must be expensive.

Beautiful area! There's an easier path with great sites to see and a rough path that takes you thru the woods. Each way brings you to the top which is breath taking.

My whole family loves going here! My daughter wanted to get married there. Our dogs have enjoyed it as well.!

nice for everyone. tried the red one took us about 2 3 hours a lot of stairs but very beautiful. be careful where you put your foot don't kill anything

Nice little hike, trails were well marked and the scenery was beautiful and serene.

Great views of many water falls.

Getting to the falls isn't easy. The roads are really really really messed up. Huge potholes. I mean 20, 30 feet wide and really deep. So definitely be careful. The fall is nice. We did the entire trail loop. My wife had a really hard time in the beginning. I didn't think it was hard or even moderately hard. I did enjoy the hike but it wasn't anything spectacular. I wouldn't drive 2 hours for it again. For most people I would rate this hike as moderate. I thought it was easy. We did see a few rattle snake skins by the lake/pond area. I wouldn't advice you to bring your dogs from the falls area. It's not save for pets. If you come from the lake side, then you're ok.

$16.50 per person. My first time hiking the trail. Crowded, but everyone was cordial and respected space. The hike takes about 2-2.5 hours depending on your hiking level.

I choose this hike because I heard it was haunted. I completed both loops. So here is my review. very tough to follow blazers, mostly in middle sections of loops. Had to climb over and crawl under fallen trees. You will need to hike through small streams, less than ankle deep. Entire trail took about 4.5 hours, including losing all trace of blazers. Make sure your phone is fully charged, you will need to access this App.

Back to the Haunted Trail, I found lack of Wildlife in certain sections. No signs of any, including birds, squirrels or deer, which I found strange. During the hike I would experience chills and goose bumps, at random areas. Once I left an offering of Bread, Whiskey and tabacco they seemed to of stopped. I stopped and checked out the Cairns, which was OK, nothing crazy in that area. it is when you are deep into the forest, you may hear distant drumming (think streched animal hide type drum) I did not experience the Chanting which some others have.

I wanted to only give it three stars, do to trail maintenance issues, but I felt it shoukd get four for historical reasons. Trail was hiked in October, so issue with bugs. The trail at some places does follow a large stream or river. it was a good hike. I parked in lot 1 and took Meadow trail into area. Orange to Blue to Yellow and Blue again blazers, if you find them on fallen trees or moss covered trees. The Yellow trail ny stream is very difficult to follow, follow stream until you see bridge. Lots of rocks and roots.

We wanted to hike up to Crater Lake this past Saturday and thanks to this app, got there. The trails are poorly marked with missing signs everywhere and access roads and other unmapped trails that made it confusing to know which way to go. We went up from Buttermilk falls which was very muddy due to rain so when the climb gets steep, especially on rocks, you’re sliding even in hiking boots. I managed to eat it in a large rock- thankfully, I wore jeans and not leggings for this hike, else- the bruises would have been worse. We made a right onto Woods Road (not intentionally) and looped around til we hit orange blazes. At this point, it got confusing with access roads so use the markers on the map (thanks to those who put pins on unmarked roads!). We also had a hard time crossing a flooded stream but luckily made it safe and dry. By the time we got to the lake, we just took a look instead of looping around due to time and the fact some people said men were dragging out a (hunted?) bear from the woods toward the back of the lake. We took the AT back and went down Buttermilk Falls trail (blue) which we then were happy we didn’t hike up that way as it was steep. Woods road was longer, but a nice long flat break and passed two pretty ponds. Be wary of the mud and wear non skid boots and bring a pole or grab a big stick for balance!

Little spiderweb of trails, Take a picture of the trail map to help yourself out. Pleasant walk in the woods and the beginnings of some nice fall colors.

A perfect cloudy October day! Beautiful!

Crater lake is beautiful we parked there by putting lake success dam in the gps then walked down to the falls and back up again. It was a little hard but not bad at all . I did it with some beginner hikers and they were fine !

A great hike not too strenuous. Unfortunately, Greylock was socked in so we didn’t get to enjoy the views.

This was a great little hike for kids and family. Took our 3 kids age 10, 7 and 3 and they loved it. Very quiet but lots to see, waterfall, cemetery, little bridges, lake. Parking was good and easy to find

Unfortunately, I never got to see this trail. The “private “ road leading to it was in such horrible condition it was impassible for my small vehicle. SUVs with four wheel drive may be ok but my car’s undercarriage kept getting scraped up by the holes in the road so I had to turn around. Very disappointing. Don’t attempt unless you are in the mood to deal with a broken axel and have roadside assistance.

After you find the right trail, the journey is great and the destiny is beautiful. As long as you follow the trail and the markers and don’t get off track, it’s a great time and a good workout. Steep inclines, loose rocks, and a beautiful view from the top. Wife approved trail ✔️
