super easy very short trail but a must do to get a close up of balanced rock

hiking

The short hike is suited for just about all ages and abilities. Very crowded (parking lot full) at sunrise but less crowded by mid-morning. I recommend going later in the morning because you can still get some great photos of the canyon through the arch without the crowds!

easy trail, but the views were amazing, get a nice 360 view from the top of the rock at the end

definitely a must do trail at arches, steep rock incline at one point but short, worth it at the end, go early went at sunrise coming down there was a flock of people coming up, petroglyphs are near the beginning of the trailhead

Amazing trail, but strenuous. Saw many people with flip flops and unprepared for the hike. The hike is difficult but so worth it. Take breaks and drink water . A Bucket list must do

Great hike. Only made it to the 1.5 mile mark cause I started late afternoon and it was hot. Amazing views the entire hike.

It’s alright, as someone mentioned before it only gets you closer to view the arch. I think there is a trail that comes to the arch from the other side because we saw people walking around under it but it’s impossible to access it from this trail.

Amazing arches, definitely a must-see

Awesome for sunrise pics! It does get quite crowded with photographers so make sure you get there early to get a good spot viewing the arch and canyon below.

Absolutely amazing! This was without a doubt the best hike in Arches, totally worth it!

Gorgeous hike at Arches! We got to the trailhead around 7am and it was pretty packed, but definitely plenty of parking. There’s a giant rock to climb up so the elevation gain can be a kicker but it’s worth it. Great photo opportunity at the end but there will be tons of people in your pictures!

this is by far the best way to see delicate arch. well worth the moderate effort to see. great for sunset photos, but bring a flashlight or headlamp for the hike out, the trail nearest delicate arch is over rock and can be difficult to follow back in the dark

One of the most amazing places I have been in my life do the back land hike if your tour guide offers

The arch is spectacular! So nice that it’s a dog friendly trail as well. We went in the middle of the day and it was very hot, but other than that it was great!

We did tour with a guide because you can’t do it without a guide. I wouldn’t call this a hike. It’s pretty time consuming due to the amount of people in group tour and picture taking time. But if your in the area this is a MUST SEE! It will take about 1.5-2 hours tour time. But it’s 100% worth it!

The perfect experience if you don't have too much time available to spend in this beautiful area.
The drive from the Hwy 89 to the trailhead is nice but pay attention because previous rain can create some very big bump. From the parking lot, the first part of the trail is quite easy, in a large wash with some interesting view of plants and little wildlife (expecially rabbits). The only problem is the heat: the whole section has no shade and we did it around 2 pm in september, temperature was very high so hat and lot of water is reccommend. The section when the cliffs become higher is just the prelude to the wonderful final part: a great narrow slot in the shade, very fun and atmospheric. There is a drop at a certain point, lot of reviewers rated it as easy, but at the time of our visit we had some problems (we are 1,60 mt tall) because some recent flood moved the debris used to go down, so we had to go back and use the alternate way, that starts in the same point of The Wave trail but follow another direction, just check the cairns. The confluence with the Buckskin Gulch is huge and pretty good to have some rest, take some photos, look at the petroglyphs and enjoy the silence of the place. We moved toward the left for a little walk in BG, but it was a little muddy and we heard some Coyote in the distance, so after one mile we returned back. Very reccommend place, hope to come back and walk through the BG for a longer distance.

Beautiful. Hike is very easy, the drop was too much for my dog but we were able to find the detour mentioned from other reviewers just look for the markers.

This hike is very popular, so be ready for lots of people to be around. It was stunning and well worth the climb. Bring hiking boots for the climb because a significant portion of the hike is on a semi-smooth rock face. If you are afraid of heights, there is a stretch at the end of the outward portion right before the arch that has a drop on one side and a wall on the other, but it is a fairly wide path enough for at least two people walking side by side and it is a pretty short distance. The view at the top is amazing.

on Wire Pass Trail

Great pretty easy hike. It is a fee area so have some cash. $6.00/person.
easy walk along dry river bed leading to the slot. Small climb down about a 7ft drop. Then on to easy hiking. At the confluence of Buckskin and Wire Pass you can go left up Buckskin not far until it got to muddy for us. We went to the right down Buckskin and there are water crossing after water crossing. Much better than trying to cross mud.

Great hike. If in the area one should do it.

One of the nicest trails we have been on . I would consider it an easy trail for me . However, i enjoy a good challenge cardio wise up hill.

Fairly easy trail and was nice in the evening. Fairly busy but spread out with certain sections of the hike. Great view at the end made it completely worth it.

Very easy and insanely scenic! Took my pup and we both enjoyed all there was to see! Great for all levels and families as long as you keep an eye out for the hoodoos that guide the general direction. I took all the spur trails to the various overlooks- recommend that too

Got to the Arch at 7am on Labor Day and around 40 people were already there. Nice hike to visit this iconic arch.

Loved the hike. Pretty easy trail with just one obstacle, an 8-10 for climb down. Some people did not hike past the obstacle.

Great but don’t go with small children we lost one child he fell off.

This was an amazing experience...We went on a cold, rainy, somewhat snowy day in March. We are so thankful that we hired a guide out of Kanab who had a vehicle that could get in and out. Rain on clay is almost worse than ice in Minnesota. The weather did not dampen the experience and the weather cleared just as we arrived at the Wave. We are glad that we dressed in weather appropriate layers. We received our lottery ticket in the online drawing 3 months ahead....and there were almost 300 in line the day before. So it really is the luck of the draw.

Tougher hike than we expected. It was super windy when we hiked it and when we got to the arch we felt like we were going to blow over. This hike is an absolute MUST when visiting Arches NP!

Easy and short hike to an arch. Not overly crowded.

Beautiful views throughout the entire hike. Very easy trail!
