Give yourself 5-6 hours to complete this and bring at least a gallon of water. Amazing views but it is definitely one of the more challenging hikes in the area.

Yes the trail IS open! A very strenuous hike (for us 60-somethings) but oh-so-spectacular 360 views of the park from the Landing. Glad we fulfilled another bucket list hike in one our most breathtaking NP’s.

Not for those afraid of heights, but do it anyways! You’ll be so happy you did. This hike is not to be missed.

Awesome Hike
One of my favorite hike
Took me 2 hours to the top

One of the more challenging hikes in the Phoenix area. Takes 5-6 hours, start early, bring extra water. There is a 10 ft vertical rock wall face that you need to climb at the end which can be challenging.

Great hike. Took us about 6 hours all together, I thought we would be closer to 4 as I am quite fit and reading reviews led me to think I’d be able to keep up, however I’m not used to such a hot climate so it really slowed me down.

The trail is not very well marked but we didn’t have any trouble staying on the path. We did it in old trail runners. I would recommend something with better traction and ankle support - going down was as hard as going up for us because of our shoes.

We started at 6:30am so we were shaded by the mountain on our ascent. I don’t know how anyone does it in the middle of the day without dying.

I’m 5’2”, 115lbs female and I drank 3.5L water on the hike before noon.

Bring water. Great scenery and the farther you go, the less people you see.

Beautiful and challenging hike, well worth at the end.

a very nice walk along the edge the whole way with benches for rest and gaze.

This hike is awesome! There is a fairly extreme element of danger due to the huge drop offs on either side of the trail, but it makes for a very exciting hike with great views at the end! This trail is extremely crowded especially once you reach the top and the chains.

Great hike did it
Three times in my 70s a must hike for everyone

Wife and I loved it! If you don’t hike much it can be a bit strenuous, but I still tend to recommend this one to anyone (beginners included). The ending makes it all worth it!

Beautiful hike. We started at 8:30 and there weren't too many people. By 10 there were people everywhere

a great accomplishment and great workout

I just n

Breathtaking views! So worth hiking into the canyon to get close to the hoodoos! Challenging hike if you’re not used to the altitude. Take plenty of water, and take breaks in the shade! Loved it!

I absolutely love this hike, did it my 16 yr old and 13 yr old , all made it to the top through much perseverance, it was tough but worth it

Absolutely stunning landscape!!! It doesn’t get more beautiful than this. We went over Labor Day weekend as the sun was setting after hiking the narrows at Zion in the am and this was a true treat!!! Go!!!! Trails were a little more crowded than I like but sunset is definitely a great time to go and get amazing photos.

Wow! I hit this puppy early in the morning with some snow sprinkles and I’m glad I left when I did. Boy does it get toasty on the ascent. Easy wide trail, but super steep in sections. Very beautiful views. It also gets CRAZY busy as the day unfolds, which makes you require a bit more patience. After we reached the top, we broke off on another trail for another 2 mi or so. Quite remote & beautiful!!

I have to add that so many people don’t eat the right shoes and they bring little to no water. I personally find that absolutely insane. Do some prep work and don’t put others at risk because you need help.

Great hike !!!

Real nice! Started early...5:30 with a headlamp :) This is my fourth time to the top...and I'm FINALLY able to stay with 20 feet of the trail. lol I noticed the markings were more noticeable on the descent. I was moving really fast, and I made it up and down in just under 3 hours. Probably my favorite hike in the area,. Worth all the stars,

Beautiful hike that takes you under the hoodoos. Not too long or difficult, a must do in Bryce Canyon!

started around noon and not nearly as busy (or hot) as expected especially once past ooh ah point. most of the trail is sand covered stairs, winding down the canyon wall at the start and then extending out into the middle of the canyon, which can be slippery in sections and is the only reason for not being 5 stars. views are incomparable!

My husband and I are in our 60s and avid walkers. We did this trail round trip in an hour and 40 minutes. Goes without saying the views are magnificent. Words of advice; go as early in the day as possible, take plenty of water/salty snacks, sunscreen and pace yourself. Coming up takes twice as long. We went at 1:30 in September and were in the sun 3/4 of the time. If I could do it over I’d go first thing in the am. Also can be a little nerve wracking when you slide on sand or loose gravel as the edges are not far away and it’s a long way down!

It was AWESOME. The views were breathtaking. I have never hiked in this kind of altitude before and did fine. The way up took my breath away for sure...had to stop every so often to catch my breath but was fine. It took us about an hour to go down (mainly because we took. A billion photos) and only 45 to go up. Bring LOTS of water (2-3 liters) and some salty snacks. Have fun! I can’t wait to come back!

Great trail with amazing views!

One of the nicest trails we have been on . I would consider it an easy trail for me . However, i enjoy a good challenge cardio wise up hill.

Majestic views, enough said! It’s the Grand Canyon after all!

Great hike ! views on top are amazing ! Same comment as most other reviewers:
1- in summer, start really really early and take plenty of water (I drank 1.5 gallon).
2- I got lost going up .. and coming down. This trail is really not well marked (which as other commented is disappointing since you have to pay to get in the park).
Apart from that, it is an amazing trail.

This trail was more beautiful than the Peekaboo Loop trail that can be done as a circle eight with this loop. I did this trail in about 1 hour 20 minutes. If you are looking for short and sweet this is it. Not really a challenging trail either.

This is a stunning hike! The canyon has so much to offer... towering hoodoos, a lush forest and beautiful geology. I began my hike just after sunrise and shared the trail with probably 20 other adventurers. It was a good thing, because around 10:00 am the trail gets very full!
