This should rename this trail to Poison Oak Trail..still a beautiful trail tho...great incline...
Gorgeous trail. Lots of poison oak!
Some climbing, but worth it.
Beautiful area with multiple trails. Took the AllTrails route that says 8 miles, but it was more like 10.5 miles. Much longer than intended, but we survived.
Well maintained trail. Almost all of the trails are shaded. We will definitely come back and do this again!
Beautiful! Took the mountain trail up... easy. Coming down on Coon Trap Trail VERY STEEP and rocky uneven trail... poles would be helpful.Wear good boots ... no tennis shoes if you’re doing the whole thing Closer to 9.5 than 8
Beautiful trail with the waterfall running in early spring. The Canyon portion from waterfall to the road is steep.
Absolutely beautiful trail. A solid climb, not too difficult and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom. There is poison oak all over the edges of the trail and when the trail thins (Sonoma and coon trap) it brushes the path. Be incredibly vigilant-- it brushed our hands on several occasions. We saw at least 10 species of birds, including a flock of acorn woodpeckers at the summit
muddy at times. good views of Mt St Helena, sonoma valley. could even see SF on a clear day.
Nice hike and shaded in a lot of spots. We have 2 kids under 10 years old and it was no problem for them to complete. Pretty easy hike overall.
Smooth trail - A little muddy because it rained the past two days. Highly recommend.
Nice waterfall
Definitely NOT an easy hike. Extreme inclines and declines. Nicely done with steps in some areas, just VERY steep!! Gorgeous views and scenery. Literally breath taking!! Should be ranked as MODERATE.
The most amazing scenery in March
Awesome trail, not easy because of the stairs and too many people on the waterfall
we went the wrong way.
Muddy and slick in some parts, nice views, not too much traffic
Beautiful area, especially since everything is growing back from the fire. I was having an off day so I chose this hike thinking it would be a breeze....the entire hike was fine (we went up bald mountain trail a bit then back down) until you pass the waterfall (which we knew wouldn't have water until spring), and then it was steep uphill steps all the way until the parking lot. Still a great hike just keep in mind the last part is lots of uphill steps. We went too fast so maybe go at a slow pace and your body will thank you.
Not closed. I should have done research because I came specifically for the Waterfall. No waterfall right now. I'll try again in a month or so.
