Nice easy and fun trail. Ran my 4runner through this but stayed in 2wd the whole time. A lot of nice views as well! It does get pretty narrow at some points but nothing too crazy.
Great and very easy off-road with verity of nice views. You will be able to do this with any car I was driving a sedan so good luck I definitely recommend this and pro tip drive slow and enjoy the ride :)
I wouldn't call this off roading.. you can drive this road with virtually any car (in dry conditions). But the views are very nice!
Today was a bit cold today and it got really windy on the way there. But the trail was in good shape and we enjoyed to see only 3 other cars! 2WD is fine when dry and I‘d also do it with a RAV4, Outback or similar as long you got A/T tires on. My ride: - Ford E-350 SD Extended RWD - no lift - 245er Falken Wildpeak AT3W
it was full of fresh air and beautiful scenery. but I wouldn't consider this offroading really. more like a private dirt road. any car can make this. well... don't be bringing your slammed low cars here, have at least 4-6 inches ground clearance. no need for 4wd/awd. nice drive, not really as advertised. if youre a mountain folk, your driveway is probably more difficult.
Amazing trail, the views are awesome! Any suv/truck with a little clearance can handle this. 4x4 not required but I would recommend.
Really easy trail with awesome scenery for photos, etc. Just about any car can do this. We were in 2wd the whole time.
Super easy trail with great views
Good and quick scenic trail.
Nice trail with some scenic views of the bridge and the coast. Very easy trail, but ground clearance would be recommended. Most stock crossovers and SUV should do well.
Was not moderate. It’s a long gravel road with great views. Easy and don’t need 4 whee drive.
Really nice trail! Highly recommend a vehicle with higher clearance. Completed the trip on my 2020 RAV4 hybrid so as long as your suv/truck has more than 7inches of clearance you’re set. Nice cows on the trail and funny enough they move out of the way to let you pass.
As for the comment below, it is not one way only. Please reserve pull outs for oncoming traffic as the dirt road is not always wide enough for two vehicles. Do not abuse the ROAD as a parking lot. Parking near the bridge is PARALLEL only. Respect the public right of way, as this is a ROAD first and foremost, not a campground.
Beautiful trail for off-road vehicles! I think a SUZ could make the trail with an experienced driver. One way only so no need to worry about oncoming traffic would definitely recommend
Really enjoyable drive with some stunning views. Like others have said, it's not very difficult terrain, but I would advise against doing this in anything smaller than a crossover SUV, because there are some sizable ruts in a few places. I never needed to use 4WD, however the weather on the coast is very volatile, so if it started to rain you'd be in some real trouble without it.
Love it, its beautiful scenery, just be careful on the blind spot ..!!
Had lots of fun with the family for 4th of july. lots of great views.
Easy trail, with a great view up top. I did most of the trail in 2wd, but I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing their family sedan on this trail. Definitely need ground clearance for the ruts in the road.
This was the original route used by travelers before the iconic Bixby Bridge was built! So there’s a little bit of history to appreciate as you take in the gorgeous views and dynamic terrain. It’s a pretty bouncy ride at times with some lose rocks on a decline towards the end of the route, but that’s about as hard as it gets. We had so much fun on this drive, we did it again a few days later! Should be labeled as easy for off-roading.
Really nice and easy trail, has some great views. The trail took us just under 2 hours to complete including a few stops for pictures and to take in the scenery. 4wd isn’t needed on this trail and there aren’t any hard obstacles along the way. I would assume most cars would be able to make it through with little to no issues. On our trip we passed a few other vehicles who were very friendly and even saw some others hiking the trail. Overall it is a very beautiful trail just be aware to follow the road and not to wander off too much because each side of the trail is private property.
My favorite trail yet! This offers such gorgeous scenery and tons of places you’ll want to pull over for pictures. This is not rocky and I’m guessing maybe moderate for how narrow some areas are. We used 4wheel drive very little but honestly probably could’ve done without it. There are several areas that say private property but we did come across a ton of cars. I would say it took about and hour and a half to two hours to complete, but that’s included the time we spent stopped. I highly recommend!
Nice views no 4x4 needed definitely worth it
