8/12/18 Path has pretty steep switchbacks with gravelly surface for much of the trail. It is very pretty, but I would be careful about taking kids or those with stability concerns up there. Gorgeous views of redrock cliffs at top.

nice short hike

Super easy paved trail right off the road. I'm ridiculously out of shape and was able to make it easily. Waay cool petroglyphs too!

Difficult to navigate. Have to cross through private property and met a few dogs that weren’t happy to see me.

This trail is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Great views of the canyon and absolutely exhilarating with the large drop offs and hairpin switchbacks.

I did this hike on 7/20 and as of today, 7/21, I was informed by a ranger that the trail is CLOSED due to a rock fall.

Nice short hike. Park map shows it has slot canyons, but I think that’s a stretch. It’s a steep short hike over rocks at the end. It’s always nice and cool up high, by the red rocks.

beautiful trail, lots of scrambling over rockfall.

Wow. This trail was amazing! We were the ONLY ones on the trail for our entire hike!! We hiked for two hours up the trail, then we hiked 2 hours back and took the river back. It was gorgeous. We stood under some waterfalls and it was refreshing on a hot day.

The begin is very steep but getting to the area where you hold on to chains and try to keep from slipping was very fun! Combined with observation point this trail is wonderful

We took the Rover and side by sides to the opening of the trail. Really pretty walk, mostly flat so any fitness level could enjoy it. Just take a look at the photos from this trail, such an incredible natural beauty.

This is a quick stop. Take a picture. Continue on type of hike. When I saw images of this I thought it would be awesome but the canyon is very short and that picture is hard to get as it is a popular hike.

This trail gives you a quick look at weeping rock and then a wall of switch backs. I would recommend going left onto observation point, or doing observation point and this the same day. Its a fun little canyon but a good climb to get to it.

DO NOT WALK THIS TRAIL! We tried to walk from the parking lot, 2.5 miles in we were so tired that we had to turn back and walk 2.5 miles mostly uphill in deep sand. If you want to do this trail, be smart and rent some side by sides in Kanab to ride to the slot.

Great petroglyphs, large number, easy access.

Sorry, found it unremarkable.

What she said ⬇️

Ok so first of all...when you get to the Pine Valley sign once you start the trailhead...GO LEFT! For the Whipple Trail. The views along the way- the best part of the trail. Once you get to the saddle though, very anticlimactic and I was slightly disappointed. Switch backs are slightly intense with a decent and steady elevation gain. Definitely got my attention :) also...bug spray or cover yourself in TeaTree oil cuz holy bugs that bite.

However, if you want to trek thru stunning greenery, see lots of nature and waterfalls...do yourself a favor and GO RIGHT! This hike is stunning green, cooler temps and views to make you forget your in Southern Sunny Utah. But go at the beginning of the Spring/early Summer so there is water for you to see. No really good marked trails but great to explore.

Either way. You’re gonna see some stunning views. Enjoy this hike! If you start early the temps are low but they get nice and toasty once you get going and into the afternoon.

This is a great trail to take, and if you want a good full day of hiking, you can do Weeping Rock, Hidden Canyon, and Observation Point all in one day. Hidden Canyon has some spots with good shade, so it's a good one to do on a hot day. There are a couple places where you have to shimmy along a cliff face holding onto chains - it can be nerve-racking and there isn't enough room to deal with traffic.

Easy and fun for all

This is a nice hike to do. Wasn't to hard we did it with our 3 kids 5,7,10. They had no irritable doing it. We hiked all the way back to see the arch. It was pretty cool. You have to hike about 700 feet past the last sign that says end of trail turn back. I think it was worth the hike. Go early if you want to beat the crowd.

Perfect if you have littles. Short, beautiful, and young kids love exploring the little slot canyon. Plus if you go in the summer, the little canyon is completely shaded so you get a little break from the sun.

easy little short day hike. No issues, there are pallets and some ropes hung to help you over the boulder falls

The road in was almost impassable due to deep loose sand. We followed the app directions and they lead you to a private road on the animal sanctuary. The alternate route was rough even in a 4wd f150 with aggressive tires. It's doable but it's nasty.
If you've got enough water it would be better to walk dowb to the trailhead from the staging area on 89, though it will suck walking back out in the loose sand, uphill.

Enjoy with caution!

Easy way to see a slot canyon if you don’t have time for a big trek. Can be in and out in 10 min!

Recommend this hike for those that want a little less traveled while visiting Zion. Very steep switchbacks on the climb up with sheer drop offs to one side as you hike. Some areas have chains to assist those afraid to walk freely (I recommend holding the chains, but that may be my fear of heights). Once to the canyon we almost turned back before reaching the end because we didn't realize there was a small free standing arch, and a sign that says end of trail but another hiker motivated us as he was going down. I would recommend this hike for the sure footed hiker as parts get a little sketchy along the way but it is completely work the trip.

Beautiful trail and easy for all skill levels. The trail is rocky but flat and has some great views.

This is like a baby angels landing. Still amazing hike and has fun rock climbing at the top. Arch is at beginning of the canyon.

Great view. Long drop offs, not for anyone fearful of heights.

Our family loved this hike—wouldn’t consider it “Hard” at all.
