Ran the out and back from Deep Creek Trailhead to Newfoundland Gap Road for a total of roughly 28.4 (Garmin). Lots of washout and blowdown along the creek in spots but not too bad. Snow up high. Great route

One of my favorite hikes! One great thing is if you don’t want to hike or are unable to do the amount of walking, the view from the parking lot is just as breathtaking!

Family stopped for restroom break. Saw about 15 elk, really cool experience.

I haven't been on a hike in some time so it was somewhat hard at times but I enjoyed it! would definitely recommend this hike!

This was a trail that was totally worth the view at the top. All paved trail that has a steady and tough incline the whole way. The view from the observatory at the top is great. 360° view of the mountains that is very photo worthy. The most challenging part of this trail is parking. It is an absolute nightmare. Narrow two-lane road with cars inventively parked on both sides and a line of cars that goes halfway to Gatlinburg.

May be better for bicycles and horses than hikers. The man made lake is usually low and not very appealing to the naturalist. Great for exercise rather than forest bathing.

Beautiful flaming azaleas on the bald!

Nice loop trail from deep creek access point of GSMNP. Maybe 5 miles but easy enough that keeping track isn’t really necessary. Going to juney whank falls first and going clockwise the first half will run along a creek, then climb a bit, then descend to run along another creek. 3 waterfalls in all and all pretty for this time of year. Most of the trail is wide and flat with benches so it’s good for anyone.

Beautiful!!! Not challenging verticals makes for a great family hike. From Parking lot to parking lot it’s 7.3. Use suggested routes and watch out for bikers.

Wait for a clear day and go early to make sure you get a parking spot.

Enjoyable, easy hike. Well maintained.

This walk was very easy, flat terrain, dog friendly. The trail goes along the river, very pretty. We passed multiple other dogs and there's a close road to the trail so I reccomend keeping your dog on a leash. We started the hike at the beginning of Blue Ridge Pkwy and went down to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park sign, took a photo and came back.

Good for beginners and our dog loved it! Walk to the very end to get a picture with the Smoky Mountains sign. There is a bit of traffic noise, but overall good experience!

We went to this place in hot August, but it felt like an autumn day even in the parking lot on the mountain. There were birds, bumblebees, and beautiful flowers all along the trail. At first, we could see the valleys below. When we got to the highest point it was all clouds. It was peaceful, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

It was absolutely breathtaking. We went as a cloud moved in but getting drenched while in a cloud was incredible.

Really nice and well maintained trails. A lot of different options to explore depending on how lengthy of a hike you want to do. We did the 5 mile loop. It was easy for the most part. There was a 0.5 mile climb up a ridge about half way through that was decently strenuous. Outside of that, it was fairly easy hiking. You walk along side 2 different creeks and get to see multiple waterfalls. We went in mid-December when it was in the low-50s. Made for a very fun day.

Beautiful hike!

We first hiked up to Clingmans Dome and from there to Andrews Bald. About 5 miles round trip. We were already tired by the time we got to the Andrews Bald trailhead from coming down all the rocks along the trail then going up up up then down then up. Lol Next time I would just start at the Andrews bald trail head from the parking lot. The scenery at the top of Andrews bald was just as beautiful as the one from the parking lot or from Clingmans Dome. But it was a beautiful hike.

moderate traffic and well maintained. However it is rather close to the road and there's a lot of traffic noise.

Great trail that isn’t too challenging with some great Mountain View’s.

Gorgeous views from the tower. Very busy, lots of people when we were there. Concrete pathway with incline.

Very nice trail with incredible views from the observation tower! Trail is wide and paved, but steep.

nice easy trail, very rocky though so watch your step or u might twist your ankle, footbridges were an exciting twist to the trail

It’s alright. Very, very busy. Fantastic views of the Smokies. Concrete path all the way up.

Short hike, but with an incline. We went at sunrise hoping to see the sun hit the trees in the fall, but the fog was so thick we could see much at all. However, this didn’t bother me. It was absolutely beautiful – the fog rolling off the evergreens. I’d say this is a must do for everyone visiting the park. It’s a great spot with wonderful vantage points.

Nice hike up the hill. Mighty cold on top but nothing you can’t survive.

Went their in the middle of October amazing views the walk would’ve been easy if I was in shape but the views at the end were totally worth it. Just take your time coming up the mountain. We came on a Friday and it was packed their was no where to park in the parking lot so we parked about a 1/2 mile down the road because that’s where most people were parking so be aware it gets busy lol but totally worth it

Loved it! Beautiful trail and I was very fortunate to have gorgeous weather.
There were many people out, including families. It seems to be a popular spot, not exactly secluded if that’s what you’re looking for.
